Pros:

Completely stopped me from getting cysts on forehead, small bit of dryness in beginning but after a week didn't even need to use moisturizer. Made skin tone look smooth.

Cons:

Chin, mouth and jaw line area never stopped breaking out. Did nothing for blackheads and if you aren't careful when applying, there will be very obvious white smudges left that appear in an hour or so!

I realllly wanted this topical to work, I was so hopeful after reading the reviews here and this was my last resort before accutane. At first, I combined this with Bactrim DS and my skin looked good, I had no breakouts! But after getting allergic to bactrim and having to continue Klaron on its own, I just never stopped breaking out. My forehead was muchhh better, no more of those painful cysts but my chin, which is my biggest problem area, would get at least one new zit every single morning. It was so depressing and made me not want to leave the house. However, I loved that it wasn't drying and thankfully it didn't make me break out in places that I didn't break out in before i.e. my cheeks. Everyone knows it's scary trying a new product but this seems to be a rather gentle product and it can make your skin tone look smoother so I'd say go for it just to see how it turns out for you! I tried it for 5 weeks and since my breakouts are getting worse, I just can't continue it any more. I'm really hoping I can get on accutane, there just aren't many more options left and acne is like fighting this invisible enemy that you can't control no matter what! Agh!

Cons:

Did nothing to clear acne, burned

I do not have sensitive skin - I've gotten peels, microdermabrasion, used tazoretene, retinols and many drying topicals, but for whatever reason, when I used sodium sulfacetimide products, it burned my skin. I stupidly continued to use this, thinking that it was just an initial reaction and that my face was getting used to it, but for me, it did nothing but burn my face. Forgetting these side effects, I then tried using it again, years later, and it did nothing.

Pros:

Nothing really. It did not smell as bad as regular sulfur products.

Cons:

It didn't help me in the least. Nothing really works for me. And sulfur can make your skin different colors.

I really got excited when reading the reviews and everything. I used Plexion and I had no results. Over the counter products worked better than this for me. I have really oily skin and a really oily scalp.

Pros:

It doesn't sting, or really irritate my skin at all

Cons:

If you use too much it turns your skin a brown in glops--but it washes off (looked like self-tanner?) and it didnt' work

I felt this medicine made my acne worse. I went from having 3-4 pimples at most (but I was always breaking out as soon as one cleared up another one came up!) to now having about 8 within one week of usage. I'm very disappointed and don't know if I should continue with this product or not!

expensive. Didn't work for me.

It didn't work for me and it was expensive. But if your insurance can get it for you on the cheap it is worth a try.

Pros:

clear, didn't really smell

Cons:

didn't work at all

I used this for over a month but it did nothing. I stopped using it and just used Neutrogena on-the-spot and my skin improved. It's still not that good...but better than when I was used Sodium Sulfacetamide. I guess it's just me.
