It's worth a try
Epsom salt mixed with a little water really does work! I use about 2 tbsp of water and mix in 2 tbsp of epsom salt, then stir until dissolved. I will wake up and my acne spot will be noticeably smaller, if not gone. I have hormonal issues so I will get pretty large acne spots every few days but I just put my mixture of epsom salt on each spot everyday and the spot that was treated will disappear within 3 days when it would usually take a week or more to go away. I only rate this product a 4 because I have noticed that if I use the mixture as a mask rather than a spot treatment that I actually break out more. I attribute this to the epsom salt pulling impurities from deep within my pores and allowing them to surface, while this is actually a good thing and will eventually result in clear skin, I just can't handle getting 5 or more pimples than usual everyday. In the words of Kimberly Wilkins "Ain't nobody got time for that."

Amazing Results!!
Ive been using epsom salt for just a few days, combinationed with castor oil, and I have found amazing results in just a few days. I dont have severe acne, but haave always had blackheads on my nose and small pimples on my T-zone. I started washing my face with soap and epsom salt just a few days ago, and moisturizing with castor oil, and I have seen a noticable difference. I have no acne, and my fine lines have disappeared considerably! At night, I start by washing my face, and rewash it with the epsom salt, washing for about 2minutes. After rinsing my face I apply castor oil. Not only is the castor oil a moisturizer, but it has antibacterial, and anti- inflamitory properties. It also encourage the production of collagen. When I wake up in the morning, I wash my face with the epsom salt andlight soap, rinse, and apply a light moisturizer. Amazing results!!

I think castor oil breaks me out, any other oils also break me out and give me big bump under my skin. Lucky you!

Finally!
I've had acne for yeeears. This isn't going to be a "epsom salt made all of my acne disappear forever" review, BUT this has definitely improved my skin a lot since I started using it. I've never had terrible acne but I get a lot of small zits (no huge ones) on my cheeks and forehead. I've been trying to find a natural, cheap regimen that would get rid of the small zits or at least prevent more acne from showing up. I have definitely cleared up quite a bit since using epsom salt and above all else, I have noticed that I break out much less often. I don't see many new small zits coming in at all, so maybe this stuff will clear up my skin completely eventually! It took at least 3 weeks to really kick in and for me to start noticing a difference - it wasn't helping at first and I was worried it was making things worse but now my skin is glowing and pretty great honestly... It's worth a shot for you. But stick with it for a few weeks before bailing. I'm really glad I did! How I use it: Twice a day, I dissolve about a tablespoon into a cup of warm water (I just eyeball it). I brush my teeth while the salt is dissolving for a minute or two. I splash my face with warm water from the sink. Then, I pour just the water from the cup that the salt has dissolved into onto a cotton pad and rub it all over my face. Then, I get to the bottom of the cup where the salt is sitting, and pour some of the salt onto the cotton pad and lightly apply it on my cheeks, nose, and forehead. I leave it on for just a minute or two and then rinse off with water, and that's it! I have been moisturizing with Cetaphil's moisturizing lotion for years but am trying to find a natural moisturizer. Good luck! :)

So far, so good!

Pros:

exfoliates well - skin feels super soft
seems to lighten acne scars
gets rid of new breakouts fast

Cons:

none so far

I'm only giving this 4 stars because I don't want to jinx it! I never had awful acne-ridden skin, just a few breakouts here and there, until I went back to university after Christmas break. My cheeks and temples were completely covered in red bumps. Covered. I tried Proactive, but it did nothing for me. Went to the doctor and was prescribed an antibiotic that didn't work. I tried Spectro and Differin and countless other things, but nothing worked. It was the most embarrassing thing ever. I would like my boyfriend to be able to see me without tons of makeup on, so I'm trying everything. I've been using Epsom salts for about a week now, and I can already see how well it's working! I had 2 large pimples on my cheek 3 days ago, and they cleared up the next day!! It also seems to be lightening my scars, and I have a ton. I mix a little bit of the salt with my cleanser every morning, which kinda makes a scrub and makes my skin feel super baby soft. At night I mix some salt with warm water, let the salt dissolve and then use a makeup remover cotton pad to wipe the mixture all over my face and leave it on till the morning. This has been working for me really well so far, and I hope to God that it continues! If you've tried everything and nothing seems to work for your acne, give Epsom salts a shot. It's so cheap and it works. Good luck!

Pros:

Reduces acne VERY fast!!!
makes skin smooth. so smooth that I almost don't need a moisturizer!
Cheap
you probably already have it in your house

Cons:

a little messy, and do NOT pop your pips... it will sting if you get epsom salt on it.
tastes bad, but close your mouth and you should be fine!! ;)

I have used Panoxyl 10% for about 1 1/2 years now.. for the first year, it did little for my skin. I moisturized with CAM lotion (my brother got it from the dermatologist) and it worked okay but I was still not clear. Then I made my own toner (witch hazel, lemon juice, water) and it made my pores close and my skin feel soft-ish. Then it hit me - why not use epsom salt? So I read about it online, and I tried it. I have to say it didn't do anything on the first day for me, but it's been about a week and a half and I can't believe how much my skin has improved!! It is AMAZING. My skin is so soft that I practically don't need a moisturizer! Just try it!

Pros:

- Affordable
- Exceptional face mask & acne treatment
- When the epsom salt dries on the face, it doesn't feel like it's draining the oils out of your skin. It feels amazing :)

Cons:

It can be tricky trying to find the perfect combination. Some prefer epsom salt and water, others epsom salt and some oil. It's all to do with your skin type and tolerance :)

I highly recommend epsom salt. I never had acne in high school and up until middle college years, I broke out in areas I NEVER experienced before. It is a real confidence stinger knowing you still get acne into adulthood. Epsom salt really is a life saver. I find it works best when I use it nightly [on a daily basis] and is amazing as a spot treatment. I use spectro jel as a cleanser [before] and I scoop out a bit of the salt and dissolve into hot water. I stir the two and using a cotton ball, I place it all over my face as a night treatment/mask :) It is God sent!! x

Pros:

reduces oiliness
unclogs blackheads over time
brings pimples to a head quickly/ reduces redness from new pimples
dries pimples
cheap

Cons:

nothing i can't handle
- stings on open wounds (like how regular salt would)

i apply a solution of epsom salt with water on the affected areas each time after a shower and let dry naturally. the salt dries on the skin leaving a very slight grainy feel. my skin stopped feeling oily (but never dry), pimples dry up faster. sometimes i rub the solution on my face for a longer time and find blackheads dislodging. you have nothing to lose, it's inexpensive and worked very well for me.
