  1. Hi everyone, Long time reader, first time poster here. I have been suffering from moderate to severe acne for the last 3 years and I have been using Epiduo/TactuPump. I am also currently on an antibiotic. I apply the cream every night before bed, and without fail I wake up with my T-Zone covered in sebum. I am wondering if the Epiduo is causing this? I also get oily skin 4 hours later into the day. What should I do?
  2. Hello everyone, As a long, long time acne sufferer I wondered if anyone else here has experienced this: whenever I'm on vacation somewhere I never (and I mean never) have time for breakfast. The result? My acne clears even more completely than when I was on Accutane! So...I'm wondering if this whole 'no breakfast' or 'very lite' breakfast plan has something to it? I'm really starting to wonder whether all the advice admonishing us to gorge ourselves on a huge breakfast is actually far overr
  3. Hello, I searched for this but to no avail, sorry if it has been posted, we cant all be perfect I'm basically looking for something to replace the acne.org Moisturizer, it's good at night time, but in the morning it leavs my skin shiny, even if I use a small amout of it, leaving me with tight, dry skin. I live in england, and I'm happy to order stuff from America if needs be, if it's worth it. Just something that wont break me out, something that will sooth my skin, prevent flakes, bu
  4. My fellow acne sufferers... I just wanted to point out a few things that perhaps b5 experimenters failed to understand when they decided to add b5 towards their cure for acne. For those of you who didn't see results and gave up-- let me just say a few things and raise some simple questions: 1. From my own personal experience with b5, and from what research I've done- b5 works in 2 different ways- all depending on the person. For some, b5 becomes their quick fix. Meaning, the person tak
  5. I have not dried out to much from Retin A since I started about 2 months ago. But i do still get alot of breakouts. So I have decided to use a mild acne scrub in the morning instead of Cetaphile. All I really want to know is if salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in the morning will interfere with the effectiveness of the retin-a at night? Also are there any steps of the regimen that I could use in the morning while using Retin A.

    My Skincare Routine!

Whadup skincare routine! I thought I'd share with you my skincare routine (for both morning and evening) in the hope it can help you guys out there who are still suffering from that bastard we all know as acne. So, on we go: Morning LUSH Coalface Cleanser - I use this with an exfoliating pad I bought from Target. I cut little pieces off the block of cleanser and work it into a lather with my hands. I then apply to my face, wet the exfoliating pad, and "buff" the cleanser into my skin.

    Bp Help

Hi, this is my 4th month in the regimen. I never got over the flaking problem, even with huge amounts of aha, so about two weeks ago I cut my Bp usage to only at night. Now, my flakes are basically gone, and I still don't break out too often. I'm worried though, it's the summer and not as stressful. When the school year starts the amount of Bp I'm using might not be sufficient. I don't want to go back to twice a day everyday, so I was wondering if doing it twice a day every other day, (with onc
  9. Every morning when I wake up, I have no idea how my skin looks and I just feel stressed until I check the mirror and notice theres not really any new developments, believe me- it would take a hell of a lot to surprise me now, I've seen everything! Some morning's I've woken up and looked in the mirror and been absolutely horrified and my confidence obliterated. What can we do to change this? I never do it straight away, I always let myself wake up first but I always feel afraid to check. Conqueri
  10. Insulin resistance can contribute to acne, but I just found out that everyone may be more insulin resistant in the morning. It's called the dawn phenomenon. The dawn phenomenon, when blood sugar rises during the night, is related to the Somogyi effect, where blood sugar falls during the night. http://www.ncbi.nlm..../pubmed/6368151 That study says: "The observed increase in insulin in the early morning hours despite stable levels of glucose indicates a temporally increased insulin need in non
  11. Lovely, right? I'm in month 4 of Accutane and this is what I get rewarded with. Awesome! Good Morning to me! Side Note: My face looks like chicken pox due to scarring, but thank you MAC make-up for covering up that mess! Grrr, anyone else hate waking up to new cystic, painful acne?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
