    Extra skin

I am also noticing extra skin on my face and so I would try using +AHA to exfoliate my face but my face is too dry to take the +AHA. Should I use a regular facial scrub?
  2. Hi guys, What are your thoughts about this idea. Many people say that by regualrly massaging with certain oils and washing face with manuka honey in the morning. They have finally managed their acne. Both of these are processes which affect acne to a superficial level. unlike diet. So do they work even without a diet change (ofcourse that would be a plus). If yes, can we conclude that acne can be controlled by what you put on your face alone as well?
  3. First, off, i feel like everytime i drink my face isnt as oily, and it feels better, it also looks better. It seems to dry out pimples and help get rid of them faster. Idk why though. Any of you ever experienced this? Now, I have very mild acne now that im 21, I only get a pimple or two everynow and then but sometimes theyre not that noticeable or bad. What i do have is oily skin on my T-zone, so i get a lot of crap around my nose, chin, and next to the nose areas. What really bothers me are
  4. Hello guys, i need advice in treating my face. Before im using cetaphil gentle cleanser to my face but it keeps my cheeks dry so i discontinue it. My skin type is combination skin. When searching the net the proper treatment, it says that i must used mild foaming cleanser. So my question is what is the best mild foaming cleanser for my skin type. Another question is what is the best moisturizer of dry and oily skin (separated or the best if can go in 2in1), I want to know also if BHA is advisable
  5. Hi! So I've been using the Regimen for 3 months now and I'm seeing great improvement. I started off buying all three products from Acne. Org that is, the moisturizer, cleanser and BP along with the AHA+. I was using all three until about 2 weeks ago when I ran out of cleanser. I started using this all-natural, dye-free, paraben-free cleanser that I actually got from Walmart and it works so much better than the Acne.Org Cleanser and it's foaming so I don't have to rub my hands together, it al
  6. My entire face has a red tint to it except around the eyes. I noticed it a couple weeks ago, and it kind of looks like a mild sunburn. I know that accutane makes your skin extremely sensitive to light, but even if I don't go outside for a few days (summer=sleep all the time) it remains the same. I mean my skin's almost completely clear, but this redness is putting a damper on my results. What gives? By the way, I'm on 80mg a day.
  7. Hi all. I just joined after reading threads on this site for a few months. I will be turning 30 in a few months and will give a very brief summary of my acne battle for the past 15 yrs: Junior year of high school was when I really started breaking out with cystic acne on my face, neck, back, and some spots on my upper chest. After trying the usual antibiotics and topicals, my derm put me on Accutane. The course of accutane cleared up everything, but was not a permanent cure. What the firs

  10. When I was younger I had perfect skin I could even go days without a shower or bath and my skin and hair would still look good. But now I pretty much have to have a shower every morning because I wake up with an oily face and my hair is a mess (It's short hair). Currently I have been using Proactiv for a month and I think my skin has gotten better so I'm going to use it for another month see how it goes. I do go to sleep around 4-5am and wake up an 3-4pm, I could exercise more and eat more
  11. I am a month and a half post accutane, i started surfing now in the summer and i am looking for a good face sunscreen that is water resistant. Does anyone have any advice's for a good sunscreen that doesn't clog pores and wont do any harm to the face? Thank you very much:)
  12. I have combination skin, (oily in t-zone and dry on cheeks) I exfoliate twice a day, is that to much? my skin is so oily and even after applying an oil-free moisturiser after exfoliating ( I heard oily skin is due to over-excessively dry skin ) hence the moisturiser. I'm going to cut back to exfoliating once a day in the evening but what do I use in the morning?!?! I dont know wether I should buy a cleanser but I have no idea if that helps and what even is it? I would really appreciate some advi
  13. On my chin and neck there are these little bumps. They are super annoying. I have like nine that showed up out of nowhere. I don't ware makeup, and I haven't treated them yet. I can feel them on my face, and so out of bad habit, I started picking at one of the bigger ones, and it turned all red. I think some puss came out, I am not so sure. You can't see it very well but here is a picture. I don't know what to do. PLEASE SEND ADVICE!

    For Winter, What To Use?

Hi, everyone. I'm using the regimen for almost a month now. And I'm getting very positive results. The only thing is my skin in the jawline area is always dry, the moisturizer doesn't seem to be really working on that particular area but I use more moisturizer and other moisturizer when I'm out so that's not really my problem. My problem is what can I use on my face for the upcoming winter? I know the regimen's moisturizer won't be enough. I live in Canada and it usually gets up to 40 degre
  16. I’ve always had very clear skin but for about a year and a half now I’ve developed these red looking bumps on my face, they’re kind of raised, mostly flat, they don’t itch or anything and they don’t seem like pimples. It also seems like it’s undernesth my skin. Someone told me it’s the bacteria that causes acne on my face but they recommened me a $100+ product. I’ve switched my products time and time again, I use home remedies, they won’t go away. People tell me it could be due to stress? But I’

I'm 21 years old and I had taken Minocycline for a while and heard if u take it too long u get grey spots and stuff so my skin was clear and I decided to come off it but then I got some pimples around my chin and didn't like it so I went to the derm and asked if I could try doxycycline (cause my brother takes it) and I took it for about 2 weeks and it broke me out so bad I was so upset! I had deep pimples that I couldn't cover up. I called my derm and said it didn't work for me and did the oppos

    It Has Been A While!

Well, I had a long summer in the sun and a few months back at school with no back acne at all and close to no facial acne. It was great! But of course, I'm back. Back has about 3 big spots and some small bumps on my neck. While my face has 4 or 5 small bumps and one HUGE cystic bump on my chin. My chin has always been a problem area, and now its starting up again. I don't know why my acne is awful during winter...i'm guessing becaues of the lack of vitamin D, but here I am again, with acne.
  19. I have had 2 facial acne extractions done and each time new whiteheads have formed. Just wondering if this is normal and the best way to treat it. * a semi big one popped on its own and I wasn't sure how to get the gunk out (I used comedome extractor).

    Caveman Routine (Teenager)

So today I started the caveman regimen, day 1. Background: I'm 14 and I've had bad skin for about 3 years, it worsened when I started using tap water to wash my face. my acne is light to moderate and I suffer from it mainly on the centre of my face, I get whiteheads and blackheads on my forehead and nose, I also get cystic acne on my chin.. I often pick at my skin which just makes it worse and harder to cover. I have oily skin which is either because of hormones, or from the products I have use
  21. So I believe I have very sensitive skin. I had these tiny bumps on my forehead that I was given stievamycin and benzaclin gel for. I used these on my acne spots, however now my face is a terrible texture on my cheeks and forehead I used to have such smooth skin. I've been crying non stop I don't know what to do and don't know if it's permanent. Please help.. It's causing me a lot of distress bc I need to wear makeup but it only makes it looks worse. I can't stop crying because I don't know what

    Skin Frustration and Vitamin A

This year, I've become increasingly frustrated with my acne since it has started appearing more frequently in strange places - like my forearms, hands, fingers, and stomach. While in the past I put my acne concerns on the back burner, recent events have made fighting this acne a much higher priority. It's at least somewhat socially acceptable to have acne on the face - or on the back and chest - but not other weird places. It's just scary and frustrating to think that I might not have any c

The Night Is Darkest Before The Dawn

Today is day two, and I have to say that despite being in an absolutely foul mood; I'm proud of myself. I was able to go the whole day without picking. However, due to the fact that I am in a bad mood I am going to keep things very brief. - Didn't pick today in the shower, which is one of the main places that I pick. - my GP is a useless, unprofessional twat. (I don't really want to get into details but he basically treated me like an idiot and was rude the entire time.) - Got home from wo

Day 1 - Make It Stop

Sigh. I'm back. Again. I had a blog here before, however my picking has not gotten better, in fact, it has gotten worse, and now I have done so much damage to my face that it is starting scar. I fairly good skin, though I do get break outs from time to time, but that's not really the issue. It doesn't really matter what my skin is like because I will ATTACK it anyways. I have to say that it has definitely gotten worse since my accident in last august (2013). I cut my toes off with

    Help with my acne please!!

Hi there guys I was just wondering if someone could tell me what severity of acne I have. I have had acne since I was about 12-13 much worse than it is now. Currently I use epiduo every night with aveeno moisturiser afterwards and I use a black pore mask once a week. However despite this I continue to suffer with large red pimples under the skin that are painful and take a long time to go away. Does anyone have any tips to help get rid of these because they make me extremely unhappy and make me
