  1. Hello everyone! I'm Tyler and I'm going to be chronicling my journey on Accutane (Isotretinoin). First off, let me give you so background information. I am 16 years old, a male, 6'2, and 165 lbs. I'm very active, with basketball taking up my days almost everyday after school. I've had acne since (my guess) 6th grade. I think that is when someone first said something to me about my acne, and man did it feel belittling. But people get older and more mature and people stop saying things!
  2. Hello there, I never though I would arrive to this point but you'll find out why. Long story short : been suffering since 10th grade, I'm now 2nd year in college. I have them all over my face and they're absolutely horrible but I always had a positive attitude, and they never brought me down. Social effects : lots of friends , only girl problems, I don't want them to be with me looking like that, so I don't bother trying. Psychological : at first I had a negative attitude towards th

    Acne Regimen (After 6 Days)

So I added Clean and Clear blackhead eraser scrub to my regimen. I had noticed a horrible amount of blackheads on my chin. I usually get them on the sides of my nose and on my chin. I love this scrub! It makes my skin feel super clean and leaves a cool feeling. After two days of using the scrub, the blackheads and pimples on my chin are completely gone! The worst area with pimples *my forehead* has improved. The pimples have decreased in size but they still remain. I am adding peppermint oil as

It’s been 3 weeks since I’ve started Rosccutane, and from now I’ll be trying to update this journal everyday for the rest of my time on the drug in question. Side effects so far: > Dry skin (obviously...) > Dry lips (obvious, again...) > Back pain > Dry/Sore eyes >Nosebleeds Wednesday 14th Feb 2018: had a small nosebleed at school. Lips have been fine,

    My Daily Facial Care Routine

okay so ive been getting a lot of questions from people asking what i use exactly and when so here it is My regimen is: Wash face with a mild clinique soap Pat dry with clean towel Clean off dirt and whatnot with neutrogena daily cleansing wipes Pat dry Apply clyndamycin on my face, (I have the alcohol based one though, I heard it works better than the cream/gel) Wait for my skin to absorb it Use the neutrogena rapid something 3-1 moituriser As I go through my day I use the clyndamyc
  6. Hello! I was hoping to get some ideas from others routines, so if you would be so kind as to tell me what you do in the AM and PM as far as skincare, that would be great. 7. From the album: My "Personal" Acne System

i use this after washing my face with the clinique bar soap. i gently stroke my face for about 20 seconds or until i feel that i got my whole face. i use this about 2-3 times during the day. depending on what im doing. this costs about $6-$8
  8. Personally, my skin is so oily that it has quite the buildup after only an hour after blotting/washing. I usually make frequent trips to the bathroom to blot with toilet paper or toilet seat covers (these work best), because toilet paper can suck moisture from your face and leave it flaky. I tell people I drink a lot of water if they notice the amount of times I'm visiting the bathroom. I also keep a safety blotter in my back pocket in case I'm out somewhere and need to blot but can't get to

    My Skincare Routine!

Whadup skincare routine! I thought I'd share with you my skincare routine (for both morning and evening) in the hope it can help you guys out there who are still suffering from that bastard we all know as acne. So, on we go: Morning LUSH Coalface Cleanser - I use this with an exfoliating pad I bought from Target. I cut little pieces off the block of cleanser and work it into a lather with my hands. I then apply to my face, wet the exfoliating pad, and "buff" the cleanser into my skin.
  10. Hello! I recently started using the Atralin gel at night and Acanya gel in the am. I've noticed a bit of a difference when it comes to my skin clearing up but it's still not that clear. I'm looking for recos of of moisturizers and cleansers to use while using these 2 RXs. If you are on the same regimen please let me know what you are using and how it's working! Thanks in advance...

    Starting My Acne Regimen!

So for a few months my skin was beautiful. I had a blemish pop up occasionally on my chin but nothing to worry about. Until I tried an Olay product. *Go Fresh shine eliminating cleanser* I got it free as a sample and used it for two days. Literally the first thing I saw when I woke up was more then 20 pimples on my forehead, pimples on my cheeks, and everywhere! I tossed that nonsense in the garbage. Good thing I did not buy it! So here is my new regimen! 1.Wash face 2x a day with Clairisil

    Ziana Log

Hi ya'll. So I visited the dermatologist the other day. Ever since I started college my back and chest have been breaking out in these really painful pimples on my chest and back (not cystic, nodular I think.) I tried Mario Badescu Cleansing Lotion O and the Neutrogena BodyClear grapefruit wash (which smelled amazing but didn't do anything.) I've been on doxycycline 150 mg for a few months now and my face has been relatively clear. The dermatologist prescribed me Ziana for my chest and

    Claravis Daily Log

So after reading through a lot of these Accutane blogs, I've decided to start my own. This is my first blog about acne and my all around first blog. I'm 15 years young, a sophmore in highschool, with mild to almost severe acne. I have a lot of black heads all over my face and back, and a lot of under the skin pimples. I'm really excited to be finally taking Claravis because even after all of the side effects, I will have beautiful skin. I've been taking Claravis for about three days now and w
  15. Dear all, I have been consuming 25 mg Zinc Gluconate daily for around 2 months now. It definitely does a little help to my mild acne, usually closed comedones. But I want to know what is a recommended amount? I am 21 this year standing at a 4ft11 , how much of zinc is the appropriate amount I should take? Please advise, thank you.

    Daily Acne Journal

Very soon, I will upload my personal acne journal that I have kept for about a month. In that month I kept a daily written log of things I ate- stress levels, and the overall appearance of my skin. I also kept a video log so I could go back and view my skin from each day. I did this to see if food actually played a role in acne or if it was more of a hormonal thing. Have you ever wondered- Is the food/acne connection real or a myth? Or is there something to say about diet and acne? Well, I "cure
  17. About me: I had horrible hormonal acne around my chin and up my cheeks- was a mixture of deep, blind, cystic pimples and these tiny little "clogged pore" colourless clusters of pimples everywhere. I didn't want to leave the house for months because my skin was so bad and being a model and actress I wasn't able to control the makeup products being put on my skin and it was crucial to my job to have nice skin! Disaster. Anyway, I created my own routine based around skin care and health on my que
