Pros:

cheap, effective cleanser/toner, great for oily blemish prone skin, get 100% witch hazel from superdrug and its pure, no additives or chemicals

Cons:

none

its fab stuff, natural product that used after cleansing will clen pores, help heal spots and tone the skin, personally I have very oily skin and this really helps me out when used twice a day. The witch hazel gel called witch doctor is great too applied to any spots overnight

Pros:

Pretty affordable, works quickly, natural, evens skin tone

Cons:

Smell isn't pleasant, but nothing I couldn't get over.

I am 25, and my skin has recently (in the last year) gotten bad. I have tried creams, gels, soaps, with salycilic acid and without, and nothing has worked. I have used name brand toners and pimple creams. I had heard about witch hazel for years, but have always had the mindset that 'natural' doesn't work as well. So I finally decided to try it. I have only been using it for 3 days, twice a day, and already my acne has gone down. My skin tone is much more even, redness is gone, and there are far fewer bumps on my face. So far, I would say this works!

Pros:

Since I started using witch hazel, my skin tone has really evened out. It's also gotten rid of previous breakouts, and seems to be keeping them at bay as well. Surprisingly enough, it's also been clearing up old acne scars.

Cons:

The smell isn't all that great, but after a few uses, you really don't notice it as much.

The bottom line is that witch hazel has been great for not only clearing up and preventing acne, but it's also done an amazing job at evening out my skin tone by calming down my usually red cheeks. Add all of that to the fact that my old acne scars are all but gone and it's inexpensive price, and this is definitely a product worth trying.

Pros:

Clears up small breakouts fast, evens my complexion nicely.

Cons:

Smell is weird, also dries out my skin just a little, but that's probably in combination with the other washes I use.

A teacher actually suggested it to me, I'm an art student, and didn't have much problem with acne until I started using charcoal. The charcoal got in my skin, and wreaked havock. When I complained about my sudden breakouts, my teacher mentioned he used it before bed. I figured "What the hell, it's a few bucks" And I've used it ever since. It really helps clear everything off the face and clear up acne. my skin is super sensitive too, and I've never had a problem.

Pros:

Doesn't dry out my skin! Very gentle and works great!

Cons:

none

Very cheap and effective product. T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel is much better than the generic brands (believe it or not). I had been using Hannaford's brand with no good results then I bought Dickinson's which has an amazingly different effect on my face. Makes my face actually look 'dewy' and moisturized not dried out. I am very happy with this!!!
