Pros:

None. Didn't see any improvement.

Cons:

Constant diarreah. Waste of time, money.

Why waste your money. It doesn't work. Have your doctor perscribe Bactrim or Minocycline. These are the only things that have worked for me.

Pros:

Its cheap

Cons:

Did nothing for me

Although it is cheap it has done almost nothing for me except stomach growling every couple of hours, gas, loose stools for the past two months i have been on 6-10mg per day. If i were you i would try zinc it has made my oily skin less oily especially around noon when it is an oil slick.

Pros:

Really decreased the oil production in my T-Zone.

Cons:

Made me breakout on my forehead worse than I have in years at about week 6. Getting better now. The loose bowel movements and diarhea are incessant and really annoying. I'm about to lose my patience with this trick.

I started taking VB5 about two months ago. My forehead was perfect but my T-zone had issues. After about 6 weeks my T-zone was very stable with no breakouts at all but my forehead had a horrible breakout. By week 10 forehead has cooled but there are still areas that seem unaffected by the dosage. I take 4G per day, I've just upped it to 8G. I'm almost terified of the diarahea getting any worse with a higher dosage so I will see. The product is priced moderately but taking this many pills every day is quite a hassle. I'm looking for other alternatives. Lastly, I read in another post that the person had panic attacks. I'm as cool as a fish, have a fast paced life and love stress in general. However, I've noticed a heightened sense of "caution" lately to stimuli that would never have fazed me before. I found this quite odd so I'm taking notes. And I think 2 in 3 of these posts are real, the 3rd is being posted by someone other than a person with acne for some other purpose.

Cons:

I feel a lot of the people writing reviews are plugging it so they can get sales for their products.

I was on Vitamin B5 for about a year and even though it did reduce oil it gave me A LOT OF SIDE EFFECTS!!! A lot lighter hair; brittle, fine, falling out hair; strong tingling/buzzing sensation in the left foot; constant tiny muscle twitches in the calves; bloating/stomach discomfort after lunch; intense restless legs at night; some fatigue; sore and swollen tongue; mouth ulcers; tooth impressions down the sides; intermittent diarrhea; a rash of dermatitis round the nose; occasional panic attacks; acne also came back once I stopped taking the pills!!!

works but hella expensive

The place I bought it from must have figured out it helps us and decided to rip us off. It costs literally £99 for a pouch. When I first bought it it was only around £20 (which is still expensive really). It works but you break out extremely badly with cystic spots and lots of them, on face and body, when you first start it. Then it calms down but if you stop or miss a day or few you will get cysts back again. I wish the medical community would look into this and explain why. It's not only clear it works but the cysts being caused by stopping the treatment is even weirder. This can make it even more of a commitment, chore, and disruption to your life. I had to stop it due to the price as I couldn't get any more obviously. I didn't see any hair loss but I didn't get to the mega megadosing stage yet. Do be careful if you want to do this long term, because we don't know if it's harmful or not. You can't overdose on B5 as it's a water soluable vitamin, but why would it make some people's hair fall out? This is similar to oral zinc in my experience. The skin changed to a nice clear and even looking colour on my cheeks, it's hard to explain, like the pores were smoothed out and I could actually see my skin for once. You can buy capsules and open them but be careful as mine also had a bit of calcium in them and it made the powder inside chewy (I don't swallow pills). Now foods is a good brand and you get a giant pot of it for cheap. But you can't really buy it in the UK. Do not buy from amazon or ebay unless you know the seller is a proper shop and trusted place. Pantothenic acid.

Pros:

Much less oily already! I can work a 9 hour shift and my face is still not shiny! I have only been taking for a week and am only up to 7 grams now but it seems to be working. Old pimples are slowly clearing and not many new ones coming up.

Cons:

nothing yet. the first time i tried B5 i got diarrhea, but not this time.

I didn't want to try it because it's so expensive to get all those pills but then i found Puritan's Pride...they sell 100 count bottles of 500 mg B5 for $3.27!! So a whole month's worth only costs me 20 bucks, and their shipping is cheap too. I will update again once I have used the stuff for a few months, but good results thus far.

Pros:

Easy to use, Tastes great.

Cons:

none yet

I recently posted a comment under "Acnezine" stating that i had just started to use it and that i would comment back after i had used it for a couple of months. Well it has been almost 3 months that i have been using it and it does NOT work!! what a waist of money. I stopped using it last night as my "SkinB5" arrived in the mail last night. I have heard so much positive feedback in regarsd to B5 that i thought that i would give it a try. Last night i started to use SkinB5 and so far things are looking positive. I will continue to use it and then each week report back to let you all know how its going.

Pros:

I saw results in a couple of week. My skin was realy bad and I felt hopeless after tring so many different products with no success and then tried B5 and I have to tell you it has been God sent. TRY IT IF YOU WANT TO SEE REAL RESULTS!!! TRUST ME!!!

Cons:

NONE

IT REALLY WORKS, I HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE NOW WITH THE WAY I LOOK AND DONT FEEL I NEED TO HIBERNATE FROM THE WORLD.

Pros:

This definately works for me, every time i stop taking B5 my ane comes back, you do need large doses and you must take B-complex with it or it wont work!

Cons:

be careful if you are taking B5 in the form dicalium pantothenate, because you are overdosing on clacium too, which puts a lot of strain on your kidneys! take pantothine to resolve this problem.

this stuff saved me.

i had tried everything from clean and clear to differin, and nothing worked, and the differin made my face extremely oily. i read about vitamin b5 somewhere and even though i was a little skeptical, i ordered the vitacure brand. they are like little miracle pills. i am no longer oily at all, less oily than i was before i even started on differin. and i'm not dry either...my skin finally found a happy medium. i'd say my face is about 95% clear, and the little bit that i do still have after only two months of using vitacure is just some little bumps on my forehead, not one big pimple. if nothing else is working for you, then this stuff is definitely worth a shot!
