Pros:

-Shrinks zits
-Shortens the life length of zit

Cons:

-smell

OK, so some people apparently use the ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) all over their face to get rid of red marks or whatever, but I personally just use it as remedy for pesky zits that appear every now and then. All I do is take a Q-Tip and dab it into the jar of ACV, I then add wet the Q-Tip w/ a tiny bit of water, so that one end of the Q-Tip has water and ACV fused together. And voila, it usually makes them disappear overnight, or a couple days.

Pros:

extremely effective, cheap

Cons:

smell

For at least 10 years, my skin has been super oily and constantly broken out. ACV seriously cuts down the amount of oil on my face. Now my skin feels balanced, healthy, soft--no more shine (finally!!!) I use it twice a day as a toner, diluted 50% with water. Adding a few drops of tea tree oil helps cut down on the smell (which you get used to anyways...doesnt bother me anymore). I have only had a few new spots since starting (they were hormone-related), and I am so happy to have found this. plus sad that I didn't discover it earlier! Plus, it's ridiculously cheap. Try it--you will love it!

Pros:

cheap, natural, simple, works, kills the bacteria, safe

Cons:

the smell to some, but I don't mind it

The modern man made humans fat. The modern man more than likely created acne also. Humans aren't meant to be flawed after a certain period of time. If you lived in the jungle away from all cosmetics you would not have acne. It comes to my attention that more and more people have acne this day in age, when so many products are out there! When our grandparents were children this is the way they treated it. Naturally! Natural is the way to go in growing out of acne. Think about it. Do you really think these companies want you to grow out of acne and them lose you as a customer? Hell no. Go natural people! Use acid balanced products so you don't harm your skin and make your acne worse. PS I use rice vinegar as it seems to work better for me.

Pros:

Quick, easy, effective, cheap

Cons:

None

I use pure White Vinegar on my face. While not completely clearing it up it sure as hell works just as well as salycic acid spot treatment cream. I put some in a cup and pour it on both sides of my face. While not fantastic it does the same job as salycic acid if not better. Have only tried this for a couple weeks on and off but it works. I imagine continued use will erase 90% of my acne.

Pros:

made skin look and feel smoother...

Cons:

...at first my face went all red and blotchy...i panicked and put lots of cold water on my skin and some aloe vera...now, after about an hour it's all fine and prettyful :) (however, that may have been down to the aloe)

try it, but dilute it (to make sure you don't get the same reaction as me)...if you do go red just put something calming on it and wait, it'll even out nicely eventually :) ...i think i'll be using it again, but diluted this time...

Pros:

Smoothes out skin, rids of dead skin, aids red and white pimples. Really effective, works fast!

Cons:

Your face smells after you use it, but by morning it is gone, other then that nothing

I use the ACV as a toner @ night and it really makes a big difference, that combined with fish oil pills 1200Mg 3X daily. This has cleared up my skin ( 23 still suffeing with off and on moderate acne prior) and it only a $10 a month cost, compared to hundreds wasited on antibiotics, creams ...ect

Pros:

I'm a college student so I need something cheap that works. This is that item. I've only used it once and I can already see an improvement. My skin is taking on the tone I remember having when I was about eleven. This stuff is awesome.

Cons:

.......? Some people don't like the smell but I don't mind. No cons. This stuff is great. Warning: I put it on without watering it down and it made my face RED! It went away but just be careful. Your skin is delicate, especially if it's sensitive.

Try it. Try it. Try it. It's so cheap so even if it doesn't work for you, just put it on a salad! I love this stuff. I'm confident that if I use this regularly, I'll have the best skin I've had in years. I'm so excited. I finally found a solution to my acne problem after about nine years of just putting up with it. The problem I have is that my skin is fair since I'm Celtic and Germanic so my acne itself doesn't last long, but the coloring does. This stuff corrects that, dare I say even reverses it. Again, careful if your skin is sensitive like mine. Don't overdo it. Try mixing with water to make it less potent if you can't handle the basic 5% vinegar content.

Pros:

Did not further irritate skin.

Cons:

Smells terrible, did not clear skin.

Have to say, this is just another disappointment in the long list of others, as far as I'm concerned. I applied it topically with a cotton pad every night for a week. Nothing happened. Literally. Acne did not get worse, did not get better. I feel like it made my skin a little rough, if anything. Like the feeling you get when you haven't exfoliated in a long time. It just wasn't at all working for me, and given the awful smell, was really no point in continuing.

Pros:

for me, helps keep zits at bay, along with an acid serum from face reality (they are awesome!) and 5% BP. I mix it 1/3 to 2/3 herbal tea (lady's mantle at the moment), freeze into ice cubes, and rub right after cleaning morning and night.

Cons:

Doesn't smell great. But only until it dries.

I recommend a gentle dilution as a way of evening out skin Ph after cleaning, especially if you are already icing your skin.
