Sure you can laugh, but don't dismiss it until you've tried it.
I have (no, had) severe cystic acne, blackheads, whiteheads, red bumps, dark purple bumps, every type of pimple ever named, and a whole lot of scarring. Like so many others here, I would say I've tried everything, from salicyclic acid, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur ointments, Proactive, everything you can buy OTC, Retin-A, every which type of prescription retinoid creams, doxycycline, clindamycin, cortisone shots-- everything short of Accutane…because, Accutane. Over the course of my life, I've seen more than seven dermatologists. Urine therapy is that thing I had been hearing quite a bit about but always passed on. I don't think I need to explain the dread and reluctance. Finally, desperate and at that point of no return, the dark night of the acne-ridden soul, I decided I would forego personal dignity and just do it for three months to see if it'd get me anywhere. If not, then I'd go for the Accutane. Every morning after cleansing my face, for the first pee, I'd double sheets of toilet paper, fold it, soak it with mid-stream urine, and then dab it on my face. I did that daily. That's right. Every morning. On days I didn't leave the house, I'd do this topical urine dabbing three times a day. When I was on my period, I'd wait until the stream cleared of any blood, then collect the urine for topical treatment. In three months, all existing acne was completely gone, I wasn't getting any new ones, and all I had left to do was clear the scarring. But bear in mind that for the first month, I really didn't see any noticeable results. Good thing I didn't give up and persisted. It wasn't until the third month that my skin exponentially jumped in improvement. I also found my skin to be softer and suppler than it had been my entire life (I'm now in my late 30s). My face was noticeably radiant and by the five-month mark, I went from pounding on thick layers of expensive full coverage foundation you could cut with a knife and still not touch skin to just some light dabs of concealer. Cystic bumps had cleared, I looked more youthful than ever, and at the five-month mark, still my only concern was just leftover scarring and minor pigmentation. I literally went from being one of those people you'd look at, cringe, and say sympathetically, "Oh, I'm so sorry," to genuine remarks of, "Wow, your skin is beautiful! You're so lucky! What's your secret?" (By the way, I never tell.) I never ended up having to go on Accutane. Topical urine therapy can work wonders. Just remember that it isn't overnight magic, so you do need to be patient and persistent with it. Though urine is mostly water, it contains trace amounts of urea and creatine, both considered miracle ingredients for skincare. Tons of high-end Korean and Japanese beauty products contain urea and/or creatine. Then there's sodium chloride, which is an astringent and anti-septic, and potassium helps bring electrolyte balance to the skin. I will say that your diet makes a noticeable and measurable impact on the efficacy of topical urine therapy. When I'm eating a mostly vegetarian, dark green leafy dominant diet with lots of fruit and plenty of water, those weeks of urine therapy are borderline miraculous on my face. When I slip and eat mostly junk food and fast food, I've found that urine therapy still keeps the acne away, but my skin will be a little oilier, I start to get some blackheads and little white bumps, but again, the cystic acne, dermatitis, and red bumps are totally kept at bay. In addition, be diligent with cleansing your face. I learned that I had to avoid oil-based cleansers and coconut oil, no matter what the makeup gurus said about it being okay for acne-prone skin. I continued using a toner for acne-prone skin, which before didn't really work all that well, but now supported by topical urine therapy, went the extra mile for keeping me clear. If you're still reluctant about trying urine therapy, look, I get it. I really do. I think everyone here gets it. But if you're experiencing that dark night of the acne-ridden soul and nothing else seems to be working, you're sick of spending so much money on junk or popping pills that just keeps you on that hamster wheel, and your dermatologist is out of options for you, then give this a try. It's totally free and you don't have to tell anybody about it. Hell, I haven't.

Pros:

FREE! Skin responds quickly. Doesn't dry skin. Altogether, a great treatment!

Cons:

Can have an odor.

Just try it! It really helped me and I've tried seemingly everything to clear up my face! Once you get over putting pee on your face, it's easy! I use fresh urine. I catch it on a cotton pad and put it on at night before bed, and leave it on all night. Once it dries, there's NO odor, if there was any to begin with. I drink a lot of water, so odor is typically not a problem. Then I apply it again in the morning (again, fresh urine) and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes before showering. My skin is less irritated and it feels smooth! Also, I don't have a problem with dryness, which is typically an issue with every other product I've used. It hasn't cleared up my blackheads, but it's definitely helped keep the zits at bay! Yay! I will never, ever try drinking it! The ick factor is too great there. But I can handle applying it to my face. Just try it!

Pros:

Works really well. Totally natural. Doesn't dry out skin.Free!

Cons:

Smells a little funky.

It's great. Even if you have your doubts try it! It's free and it doesn't cost anything to try it out. But it kinda stinks because you can only do it at home unless you carry around cotton balls. Just pee in a cup. Dip half the cotton ball in and wipe it on your face. Easy and Simple. I use it three times a day.

Pros:

It's free! :o
Natural
Works instantly.

Cons:

When I first did it,I chickened out and threw the cotton ball out the window(gross,I know) but then I became desperate. All in all,I'm glad I'm doing this.My skin is glowing and the pimples are shrinking.I'm going to do this 3 times a day.

I found that if you drink a lot of water, the pee doesn't stink! I will report back in a week/few days. =)

It sounds insane but it somehow works
I was extremely skeptical at first. Why should pee do anything for my skin? I was wrong. Strange and gross as it may seem, it did wonders for my skin. I began trying it about a week ago. Already, my acne flareups have reduced, I get less pimples, and my tone is a bit more even. I'm not saying you should replace your entire routine with urine therapy. Not even close. I haven't done that (though I have been using my other skincare products a bit less just to make sure it was the urine helping and not those other products). But in conjunction with your normal skincare routine (I'd advise doing UT first, before any other skincare), it seems to help, at least for me, and a lot of other reviews here seem to agree. If you're wondering, here's how I do it. First, I collect the urine in a container. I usually do the "clean catch" method, which means I don't catch the start or end of the stream, just the middle. Then, while it's still fresh and warm I dip a cotton ball or cotton round in it. I rub it on my face thoroughly and wait for 15-30 minutes. Then I wash off, do the rest of my skincare, and use a little perfume. By then the smell is totally gone, but I use the perfume to ease my paranoia about smelling like it anyway. It's working wonders and I will be continuing. Try it!

This stuff is amazing!!!

So few days ago. I found out about urine therapy. Someone on a facebook group mentioned it. She said it removed her friend's scar and made her look younger after using it for more than a year. She also drank her urine. I was shocked when I first find out about it but I did a bit of research. I also saw amazing reviews on the book that she has mentioned... "The Water of Life".

I was willing to try it. I could only put it on my skin though. Not sure if I can drink it.

I finally tried it today. I used some cotton balls. Surprisingly...it did not smell. My urine usually smells but when I peed in the cotton ball. It was white and didn't smell. I was a little nervous but still proceeded to put it on my face. I was like wtf..this doesn't seem so bad at all. It's not even disgusting or anything. It did not even smell bad. I thought it would be really disgusting but doing it felt so easy? Putting other products with strong and harsh chemicals felt more risky to do. So yeah. I felt really relieved and I can see myself doing this daily. After 30 minutes..I put another urine on my face using cotton balls. Again it did not smell and the skin easily absorbed it. It did not leave any smell.

It's only been an hour. I am so shocked with my results! Before doing this. My face looked haggard. I have no acne but I have chicken pox scars. I have terrible dark circles and dark lips. I just looked really old, haggard and stressed. Now my face looks clear, I look a bit younger and my dark circles/dark lips have lighten a bit! My face is also glowing! :') I am really shocked with the results! I've only tried it twice! This is my first day doing this and I think I would definitely do this everyday! I am willing to try this for a year or maybe for years if it works so well. My chicken pox scars made me really depressed. I wish this urine therapy can get rid of scars..no matter how long it takes!

To anyone who wants to try this. Please just do it! With so many amazing reviews..I think there is a great chance that this would work on you too! It may take more time for people with acne though. I felt scared doing this but I wish I've knew about it sooner! Doing it felt so easy. Trust me it isn't so bad! I am not even sure if I would still buy skincare products(the ordinary products) If this urine therapy continues working..I may not need any other products lol. This stuff really amazed me! I also ate unhealthy breakfast today. Fried, oily processed meat and rice. I wonder if the results would be way better if I eat healthy. From now on I'll eat healthy, drink lots of water and maybe take some supplements too. I wish supplements wouldn't affect the results negatively.

I would definitely do this everyday. 3-5 times a day. The results is so amazing! I may put this on my other scars too. All I wish is this would continue on working and this would get rid of my scars like how the facebook user's friend's got rid of hers. I may update after a year.

I apologize for any grammatical errors. I am not that good in English. Good luck to everyone who wants to try this! : )

Amazing.

When I heard about this, I wasn’t really freaked out. This was pretty sound information to me. The human body creating something that would be of benefit to the body?  I wanted to know more.

I tried it 2 years ago. I loved it.

I got a jar and peed in it. In the shower I washed my face with it and my body. Right after the shower my skin was noticeably softer as if I moisturized it.

I started doing it every morning and my skin was clear from all pimples, blackheads and was smooth. The texture looked plump and the scars didn’t seems so prominent.

I drink a lot of water but I do eat a lot of fast food. And I gotta say I did see a huge difference after using the urine.

I hope this helps!
