The worst break out I've ever had
Even when I was a teenager I haven't had anything so bad. It took over 1 year for my skin to heal, but there're still lots of scars on my chin and on my forehead. Before that, I never had to use makeup everyday, it was awful, I've never seen my face like that. If you have a sensitive, acne prone skin, STAY AWAY from this sunscreen!!!! It took me a while to figure out it was the sunscreen that was causing this. This year I gave it a second chance (but instead of using on my face I applied on my chest and back)' terrible idea. (Before that I used ROC Minesol and it was pretty good!)

As cliche as this sounds, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! so true...

Pros:

high SPF

Cons:

Most terrible rash/acne break out ever!

Hesitant on buying this moisturizer while grocery shopping knowing i'd be in trouble if my skin care teachers at school found out, i proceeded to anyways.. it was a great deal with a high SPF so i thought id give it a try. I used product after using Neutrogena Grapefruit Scrub for 3 days. I NEVER breakout, have never had acne in my life! My chin feels tight with dry scabby patches of burning skin, which is tolerant. The 25 tiny pustules on the other hand is not. It looks as if i have baby acne and feels absolutely terrible. Yesterday was the first day i woke up with it, I used a chemical exfoliant from well-known Dr.renaud called "vegetale" along with "penaten" as a night time cream, also used for diaper rashes. Its better today and starting to dry up more but i havent stopped popping the hideous zits. Not sure how long this will last :(

Pros:

Might prevent a sunburn

Cons:

Will still look like you have a sunburn b/c it turns your skin into a red rash

Don't buy it, even if the dermatologist recommends it (as mine did). It can definitely cause an allergic reaction. I don't typically have acne (unless I accidentally eat soy), but I do have it when I use this product.

Cons:

My 14 year old daughter used this when we got to the beach. Within 24 hours her face was red, flaky, swollen and I had to take her to the ER. She was diagnosed with contact dermatitis. I definitely would not recommend this product for anyone, but especially those that have somewhat sensitive skin. She can use Aveeno sunscreen without an issue; so I don't think her skin is extremely sensitive!

Bad product...ruined her vacation!

Pros:

The scent smells nice, and the sunblock doesn't feel oily.

Cons:

I applied the sunblock on my arms (SPF 30), and a rash broke out the next day.

I am really surprised that I developed a rash, and it's still irritating me. I have normal/combination skin, and I have never developed an allergic reaction to any skin products that I have used, until I used this sunblock. I currently use another Neutrogena product for acne wash, and that works fine for me. I see that other users have developed similar reactions to the product, so I wonder if there is something peculiar about the sunblock.

Pros:

It sprays on easily and feels cool. Inexpensive at Costco.

Cons:

In Arizona in March I broke out into a major rash on arms and legs; dried skin, patchy bumps, itchy, flaking skin for almost two weeks. Used it again in Seattle a few days ago and same thing happened. Dentist asked me if I was allergic?

I just came back from my dentist. I have tooth pain, severe over the weekend, and X-rays showed teeth in perfect condition. Dentist asked: "Have you used any new products that could be causing an allergic reaction? Why, yes, Neutrogena SPF 45!! Not certain that is the cause but my arms are now flaking like in Arizona. I have no allergies, period. It certainly could be Neutorgena. Will never use again.

Pros:

non greasy FEEL, dry touch

Cons:

it doesn't say it's oil free. i read the front and back countless times and it just says wont leave a greasy feel but it does have oil. i would squirt it out and some nasty oil would come out first and it causes clogged pores

i live in vietnam and it's hot here and when i sweat i see the beads of the sunblock seeping out. which is so not good. and my freind who used it got two major zits two days after using it

Cons:

Terrible skin rash, red & painful. Scabbing to skin.

I used this on my 3 children and they all developed horrible rashes on their skin. I thought at first it was chemical from our swimming pool but after more research and experimenting, we found this sunscreen to be the culprit. I will NEVER use this product again and just hope I can get their rashes under control. My poor little kidlets- it breaks my heart to see this :(

Pros:

didn't burn!! :)

Cons:

Broke out after two days of use on vacation...now sitting in condo taking benadryl orally and applying it topically.

DO NOT BUY THIS STUFF!!!! I am broken out worse than I ever did in high school...ONLY on the areas I put the neutrogena 45(face and neck). Used a different sunscreen on the rest of my body. I am NOT one to have allergic reactions of any kind.
