Pros:

Acceptable fragrance, distributes easily and evenly

Cons:

Causes allergic reaction on face

My mother really loves this product, going as far as to recommend that I use it as my new daily moisturizer. I applied it twice a day for several days. I was elated on the first day to have found daily UV protection that seemed grease-free and left me with soft skin. On the evening on the second day, I noticed the beginning of a breakout on my forehead and teeny tiny bumps all over my chin. I also had slightly swollen eyelids that morning. On the third day, I woke up with those tiny bumps ALL OVER my face, accompanied by the sensation of STIFF skin. Can't wait to see what happens next -_-

Dangerous product that can permanently scar sensitive skin
I started getting a similar reaction to this product as many of the other posters. Now I have extensive, permanent scarring that looks like second degree burn marks with bumps on my neck and both hands (very ugly). It is terribly itchy and does not respondent to steroid treatment or psoriassis lotions. I have to use thick makeup to cover the scars. Stay away from this product. The reaction is so strong that I would't be surprised if it is recalled.

Cons:

I had a very severe reaction to all areas where I applied the sunscreen. It's been a month and I'm still dealing with the pain and discomfort.
I will definitely be contacting the company.

I suffered a severe burning reaction for over 3 weeks. I applied it to the part line of my scalp, as well as to my nose and forehead. I've been using "Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture SPF15" as my daily facial moisturizer for years, and love it. I was going to be going on vacation and wanted a higher SPF that was non-comodogenic to use on my face, and thought Neutrogena was a name I could trust...BOY WAS I WRONG! The following day, I woke up to a severe burning of the scalp. The pain was soooo unbearable, red and warm to the touch. I also had small bumps on both the tip of my nose and forehead - they're still there. I've never had a reaction to a sunscreen in the past, and have been applying Coppertone Oil Free SPF 30 and 45 to my part line for years...especially on days where I know I will have prolonged sun exposure. I purchased this product at the beginning of July. The LOT number at the top is 2918L. Due to the number of recent posts, I'm thinking a recall may be in

Rash (see June 23rd post)

Follow-up on June 23rd's post: My rash lasted over two weeks, and I was getting these enlarged, red goosebumps all over my arms, which looked really scary. My arms still itch from time to time (and even right now, as I'm typing), and it has been over a month since I used the sunblock. My pharmacist recommended that I use Hydrocortisone Cream to deal with the itching and take Benadryl-like medication to deal with the allergic reaction (I think another reviewer used the same meds, so thanks for sharing the info). For the first week, the Hydrocortisone Cream seemed to work, but for some reason, my rash started to get worse, so I stopped applying the cream. I think it was the Benadryl that worked for me in the end. Now, I have little scabs and freckled-scars over my arms from the scratching. I do not recommend using this product at all.

Pros:

None, given the cons.

Cons:

Developed a rash & symptoms similar to those mentioned each time I used this product. The initial rash prompted a call to a doctor, thinking it was a reaction to a medication. This is the first such reaction EVER to a sunscreen.

Something's going on here folks - save your $.

Pros:

Very light.

Cons:

Causes contact dermatitis! Red, small, blistery, itchy bumps all over my face and ears where I had applied the sunscreen! Awful! Do not use especially if you have larger pores or sensitive skin!

DO NOT BUY!

Pros:

None

Cons:

I used the Neutrogena Sunblock, Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 55 sunscreen this past week on my arms and face. My face did not break out but my arms ended up with a bad rash all around the very next day. I stopped using the sunscreen and now my arms have scabbed up and are healing.

Would not recommend this sunscreen at all, especially after reading more people's same reactions in addition to mine. Definitely contains something that irritates the skin!

The worst break out I've ever had
Even when I was a teenager I haven't had anything so bad. It took over 1 year for my skin to heal, but there're still lots of scars on my chin and on my forehead. Before that, I never had to use makeup everyday, it was awful, I've never seen my face like that. If you have a sensitive, acne prone skin, STAY AWAY from this sunscreen!!!! It took me a while to figure out it was the sunscreen that was causing this. This year I gave it a second chance (but instead of using on my face I applied on my chest and back)' terrible idea. (Before that I used ROC Minesol and it was pretty good!)

As cliche as this sounds, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! so true...

Pros:

high SPF

Cons:

Most terrible rash/acne break out ever!

Hesitant on buying this moisturizer while grocery shopping knowing i'd be in trouble if my skin care teachers at school found out, i proceeded to anyways.. it was a great deal with a high SPF so i thought id give it a try. I used product after using Neutrogena Grapefruit Scrub for 3 days. I NEVER breakout, have never had acne in my life! My chin feels tight with dry scabby patches of burning skin, which is tolerant. The 25 tiny pustules on the other hand is not. It looks as if i have baby acne and feels absolutely terrible. Yesterday was the first day i woke up with it, I used a chemical exfoliant from well-known Dr.renaud called "vegetale" along with "penaten" as a night time cream, also used for diaper rashes. Its better today and starting to dry up more but i havent stopped popping the hideous zits. Not sure how long this will last :(

Pros:

Might prevent a sunburn

Cons:

Will still look like you have a sunburn b/c it turns your skin into a red rash

Don't buy it, even if the dermatologist recommends it (as mine did). It can definitely cause an allergic reaction. I don't typically have acne (unless I accidentally eat soy), but I do have it when I use this product.
