Neutrogena : Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 45

Not recommended. I used the SPF 55 and had a similar allergic reaction as reported by others with red itchy/burning bumpy-like rashes on both of my arms. So glad I did not apply it to my face. It's very uncomfortable and noticable. I will definitely be contacting the company. Have been using Hydrocortisone to try and help. Will also try Benydryl as others have suggested. Wish I had seen these reviews before buying and using this product.

My mother really loves this product, going as far as to recommend that I use it as my new daily moisturizer. I applied it twice a day for several days. I was elated on the first day to have found daily UV protection that seemed grease-free and left me with soft skin. On the evening on the second day, I noticed the beginning of a breakout on my forehead and teeny tiny bumps all over my chin. I also had slightly swollen eyelids that morning. On the third day, I woke up with those tiny bumps ALL OVER my face, accompanied by the sensation of STIFF skin. Can't wait to see what happens next -_-

I started getting a similar reaction to this product as many of the other posters. Now I have extensive, permanent scarring that looks like second degree burn marks with bumps on my neck and both hands (very ugly). It is terribly itchy and does not respondent to steroid treatment or psoriassis lotions. I have to use thick makeup to cover the scars. Stay away from this product. The reaction is so strong that I would't be surprised if it is recalled.

I suffered a severe burning reaction for over 3 weeks. I applied it to the part line of my scalp, as well as to my nose and forehead. I've been using "Neutrogena Oil Free Moisture SPF15" as my daily facial moisturizer for years, and love it. I was going to be going on vacation and wanted a higher SPF that was non-comodogenic to use on my face, and thought Neutrogena was a name I could trust...BOY WAS I WRONG! The following day, I woke up to a severe burning of the scalp. The pain was soooo unbearable, red and warm to the touch. I also had small bumps on both the tip of my nose and forehead - they're still there. I've never had a reaction to a sunscreen in the past, and have been applying Coppertone Oil Free SPF 30 and 45 to my part line for years...especially on days where I know I will have prolonged sun exposure. Follow-up on June 23rd's post: My rash lasted over two weeks, and I was getting these enlarged, red goosebumps all over my arms, which looked really scary. My arms still itch from time to time (and even right now, as I'm typing), and it has been over a month since I used the sunblock. My pharmacist recommended that I use Hydrocortisone Cream to deal with the itching and take Benadryl-like medication to deal with the allergic reaction (I think another reviewer used the same meds, so thanks for sharing the info). For the first week, the Hydrocortisone Cream seemed to work, but for some reason, my rash started to get worse, so I stopped applying the cream. I think it was the Benadryl that worked for me in the end. Now, I have little scabs and freckled-scars over my arms from the scratching. I do not recommend using this product at all.

Something's going on here folks - save your $.

I used this on our recent trip to Hawaii and although it seemed good (absorbed well etc.) by the end of the 10 day trip my nose was covered in tiny little pimples that took weeks to go away. I don't normally get that and was using no other new products so it was definitely the sunscreen.

DO NOT BUY!

Would not recommend this sunscreen at all, especially after reading more people's same reactions in addition to mine. Definitely contains something that irritates the skin!

I was happy with this sunscreen until I woke up the next morning itching on my face, neck, shoulders, and back. There were a lot of bumps and it was red.
