Pros:

Clearing up skin after not even one full week of use!

Cons:

None for me - BUT - if you or anyone in your family is allergic to sulfur, possible bad reactions to this drug!

This was my derm. last effort before accutane, and it has dramatically reduced cystic acne. I break-out on my chin mostly and have had only 2 minor pimples and I'm only in the first week of Bactrim/Generic. I also use Retin-A every other night, along with Benzoyl Peroxide wash morning and night. My skin is really sensitive and has been peeling/flaking a lot - so I am going to cut back a little on the Benz. Peroxide wash and see if this helps. Good luck to all of you guys!! I know we can all find something that works for us. : )

Pros:

It cleared up my chest & back within a week

Cons:

Side effects can be scary...I went off of this after researching more about it's effects. And it makes you very sun sensitive, which I didn't like b'cause I like to keep a little tan - the healthy glow seems to make my complexion brighter.

I believe this drug will clear you up if you are willing to risk the serious side effects. I saw improvement within a week, but didn't stay on it long enough to really see. Prior to this, I was on Minocycline which helped, but it didn't help THAT much. And next up is Cephalexin - the side effects are much less severe and I'm hoping that it will work much better than the Mino. Wish me luck. I'll keep you posted.

Pros:

pores smaller

Cons:

headache and nausea

I have only been on this product for 2 days. After reading all these reviews, and trying EVERY acne medicine possible (isn't that everyones story?), I am excited to see how everything will work out. It's only 2 day but I can already notice my pores getting smaller. I do not have cystic acne but I do get about 3 pimples a day. So far, pimples still arriving, but I'm hoping that the medicine is just getting all the bad stuff out. We shall see! I'm going to give it a week and give an update. (fingers crossed)

Pros:

It is was helping. Been on it for almost 8 months, but after 6 months

Cons:

I notice that i was getting strange blistering bumps on my forehead and then it became more and more..like it was spreading. I believe it's because of this meds, because before and

i think you have to keep trying and stop right away when you see signs of side effects.
