Pros:

Worked well for me. Easy to apply, blends into skin well & absorbs quickly. No fragrance to speak of which is very important to me as I am very sensitive to smells. Great value for the money.

Cons:

I wish they would go back to the tube container. I travel a lot and the pump bottle does not travel well.

Prior to finding the Acne.org BP product I spent a LOT more $$ on BP products that were smaller, harsher on my skin and often didn't completely absorb. I would highly recommend this BP product over any other.

Pros:

Lotion-like consistency, unscented, dries clear, economical, and effective!

Cons:

Dries skin, will bleach fabrics, itching and/or burning sensation on initial use, some patience is required

This product delivers on its promises! I was a Proactiv user for a while, and had good results, but ultimately stopped because it was too expensive. I stumbled on this product looking for something during a *horrible* breakout. It's very much like the Proactive lotion, except cheaper and more effective. When I first used it, it did start burning and made my skin feel itchy. But over the next few applications that feeling went away. And, a good moisturizer is needed as it will dry your skin. (My skin is oily so it's not too bad.) Using an alpha hydroxy cream has also helped. I've also been careful with fabrics as BP tends to bleach them. I saw few results immediately; it took about two weeks for my face to slowly clear up. I've developed my own regimen based on Daniel's and now my skin is the best it's looked in years! I think overall this is a great product.

Pros:

Gets rid of acne and prevents (even if persistent!). Don't have to wash off. It really works!

Cons:

If allergic to benozyl peroxide, you can't use it (my mom had this problem). Hardens into stretchy glue-like stuff on the tip of dispenser so you need to remove the residue before dispensing (doesn't happen on skin).

This thing saved my skin. For best results follow, Dan's instructions. I had these consistent breakouts in between my eyebrows (I looked like I had a unibrow) and on my forehead that would never go away no matter what I did. I was so annoyed that I decided to stick religiously to Dan's regimen with this thing (I used cetaphil cleanser and Neutrogena's combination skin moisturizer instead and it worked fine. Maybe when that runs out, I'll get his stuff). It went away and never came back even when I relaxed the regimen a little. Admittedly when I got lazy, I'd get a breakout or two if I hadn't applied the treatment in awhile, but that was to be expected. But my skin held out for a surprising amount of time before breakouts started coming back. So bottom line. Stick to his regimen if you never want to see a breakout ever.

Pros:

It works, it's affordable

Cons:

same as any benzoyl peroxide

I recently had a very severe breakout. I usually only have mild acne if I'm using benzoyl peroxide, but sometimes I would switch products with poor results. The last time I did this, my acne flared up badly, & nothing I tried in the past was able to control it. I tried going back to Proactiv, Differin, & all natural stuff, but nothing would work this time. My face hurt so badly that even smiling was painful. I didn't want to go anywhere, just because it was so physically painful to wash my face or put on makeup. Then I found this message board, & after reading the info on here for days, I finally decided to try the regimen. It took some time, & some getting used to, but I am completely clear now. Sometimes I will get a pimple or too, but it's because I haven't used it in a few days. This stuff is so much better than Proactiv. Just give it a try & a chance to work. I use everything they sell, and it's all amazing stuff. This is the clearest my skin has been in 15 years. Try it!

Pros:

Works very well for getting rid of acne and staying clear if used properly. I have never been more clear since I was 12.

Cons:

It burns quite a bit for the first couple minutes, makes my skin really red for almost a half hour. But worst is that it leaves dry skin that even the lotion cannot seem to take care of.

This is real hay maker of the regimen it's what gets the job done and it does it well. I found that for the first month of using it I wasn't leaving enough time in between steps for drying and therefore the regimen wasn't working to full potential. As soon as I was leaving ample time in between steps it started working like a charm. I believe the last time i had a pimple was 2 months ago! There are a few downsides to it but none seem to be much of an issue if I have an hour before I leave the house. Because I am an athlete one attribute I really loved was that it does not come out of your skin white when you sweat, this is especially important if you have to practice before school or work and wont have time to go through all the steps again. Bottom line it's wayyy cheaper than proactiv wayyy less harsh and wayyy more effective. Recommend to anyone and everyone.

Pros:

generous amount of product for price paid, gel based...goes on clear, helps prevent new acne from forming.

Cons:

does dry skin a bit, leaves you with some flakes but nothing a little moisturizer can't fix, only available on-line.

by far, this is one of the best acne treatments i have used! a few months ago, i started breaking out like crazy, to the point where i didn't want to leave the house. saw a dermatologist who prescribed me clindamycin gel, and differin .01%. long story short...happy to say that as of today, i am 99% clear with help from neither medications. came across this site one day and ordered dan's BP. started using it in the morning along with differin .03% at night for a little over a month and the results have been fabulous!!!

Pros:

Seemed to lessen infected acne as it dried up the skin,

Cons:

Made my face burn terrible. hence the pain would make me angry, and I dont like being angry all the time.

Ive used this product for over a year a few years back. -- Dont have oily T-zone, Acne is on checks chin and lips. -- would get papsuals and zite, my zits would become red and infected, but would pop clean if waited 1 week. not many whiteheads as bp would irritate -I used it properly ffollowing the regimine -after worked up to full dosage, would have so much bp on face and them moisturizer, kind of had a layer of junk on face --face would burn tewrribly after put on. Would have to shower to get relief.

Pros:

cleared up small acne growing on the surface.

Cons:

-it caused my skin to breakout with cystic acne
-dried out my skin completely

even with the moisturizer and jojoba oil throughout the course of the day my skin ends up being really flaky with the BP and it takes too much time to do and wait for everything to dry to apply the moisturizer.. I am sad it didn't work for me - but happy to hear it's working for so many! :D

Pros:

actually works

Cons:

took awhile to work, time consuming, dries skin

this took awhile to work for me, i've been using it for about three months. i had the clearing at first and then i would still get a few, but it was still better than before. at first my skin was more dry than it had ever been, but it has gotten better. my skin was never that bad, but there was always something. i use aveeno spf instead of the moisturizer and vitamin e oil at night for the moisture. i still have some red marks left, but the vitamin e is supposed to help with that. it also seemed fairly expensive, but it actually lasts for quite awhile. you don't need to use as much of the face wash as the treatment, i only use about half of a pump of it. start slow at first, because my sister tried this, and she put on more than she should have at first and then her skin was burning for a few days. but if you're patient with it, it will work

Pros:

Cheap, like the soft feel on skin (made me want to put more than I'm suppose to), gives me enough time to massage it onto my skin without drying out, and yet dries within 1 minute after I'm done putting it on. Great product!

Cons:

Sting eyes when put too much on, drying (subsided within few weeks, I used jojoba oil to couple with drying until my skin got used to it).

After 10 years of suffering acne and trying all the OTC and prescription medicines out there, I'm finally acne-free thanks to this product!!! Thanks Dan!
