Pros:

Lovely and smooth, non-greasy and non-drying.

Cons:

Price of post and packing to the uk, but i think the product is well worth it.

I am 25 and have more or less grown out of my acne but i still continue to get stubbern mild acne. My treatment history is long and any results temporary. I have actually been useing BP2.5% for many years with ok results however i always hated the feel and it stripped my skin and left my complextion looking dull. On reading about Dan's regime i gave it a try useing my old brand of BP, it sorted the spots but my skin couldn't handel the BP and i was forever starting and stopping. Dan's BP has transformed the regime for me, it's given me great results with none of the negative side effects, my skin is looking smooth and soft and can even handle the gel without moisturiser. I love this product.

Pros:

This is a very good product. It goes on smooth, clear, and absorbs well. I noticed it helped clear up/shrink some acne even after the first day and I really started to notice it working after 10 days. One tube lasts over a month for me.

Cons:

The only bad thing is that it slightly dries out your skin. But that's to be epxected with benzoyl peroxide.

I will never go back to cream-based benzoyl peroxide products again. They work, but don't go on clear and take a long time to absorb. This product does on clear and absorbs fast and it really does work without drying your skin too much, so I highly recommend it. Also, the tube might look small in the pictures, but it lasts a very long time. I've been using it for 4 weeks and I'm only 60% into the tube. I expect it to last at least another 2 weeks. One $8.50 tube lasting 6 weeks is a really great value. If you have more severe acne, one tube might not last as long though. Either way, I highly recommend this product.

Pros:

It works and its in a big tube

Cons:

The price of it with SHIPPING!

It's the best BP I've used so far! But the price of shipping was just flat out insane. The cost to ship 1 tube(not including the tube)to Vancouver, BC on UPS was over $35(in US)! So all together came to about $50 canadian! But luckily there are a few places in Vancouver that carry it and can be purchased for less then if you ordered it online with shipping. Also this way you do not need a credit card as most of my peers at school including me don't even own a credit card yet.

Pros:

Price and size

Cons:

Did not work

I truly wanted this to work for me. I've used Neutrogena BP and Proactive BP, both worked well for me. I tried this because of the price/size, but, it did not work. I really wish it would have. I used it for over a month, breakouts increased as I used it, breakouts went away when I switched back to Neutrogena. As a side note, I have extremely temperamental skin and have had acne for 18 years. It's never completely gone away, I can just manage it. I'm sure it may work for others whose skin is not as bad as mine.

Pros:

less drying and irritating than other BPs (proactiv), absorbs well when used as recommended, great price.

Cons:

none, other than the standard initial complaints about BP.

If you follow the regimen every day, exactly like Dan suggests, it will work. The begining is tough because BP irritates the skin and its hard not to want results immediately. Once your skin starts clearing, you have to have the time and patience to rub the BP gel in, even though it takes a while. I started the regimen with proactiv, because I already had it. I switched to Dan's gel after about a month and the difference was huge. This gel absorbs better, is less irritating, and is more effective. Its also cheaper than other options that won't work as well.

Pros:

Good consistency, excellent packaging, cheap price, fast shipping.

Cons:

The regimen is perfect in theory, but runs into problems in practice.

This product works well. This is my 2nd month using it for the regimen. When I am able to take care of my face in an incubated environment (at home, when the boyfriend is out of town, when I'm not working out as much, when I use a clean pillow covering each night), the result is magnificently clearer skin than my normal complexion. However, the problem is that in going about my normal life, my face is subjected to things (pollution, kisses, lots of sweat) that void much of my efforts. Sure I do the regimen w/ careful application of BP twice a day, but sometimes it's not possible to apply BP after my face is subjected to extra bacteria. In theory, BP works for 12 hours between applications but only if you don't move... I can't wash my face after getting kissed on the cheek, talking on the phone for awhile, or wearing a hooded jacket in the middle of the day. It's those things that spread new bacteria which stays there until I can catch it with my next BP application.

Pros:

Did clear up many of my blemishes and a few that did appear were noticeably smaller.

Cons:

I found it super drying, even with the Cetaphil moisturizer. Even when I went down to applying every other day, my face reacted badly, peeling, itching, and flaking. I don't think it's specific to this product, might just be a reaction to BP.

Would work well if you have oily skin, not the combination/dry skin of someone in their 30's like me! Great that there is no animal testing.
