Pros:

-Works pretty well for moderately severe acne.
-Great cost for amount given (hard to find a better deal).

Cons:

-Drying
-Stains cloths
-I find it hard to do more than 1x/day do to extreme dryness. My body never did get use to it.

This is the best product I have come across so far and I have been using it for years. It helps with about 80% of my acne. I am sure it would be more if I could do it 2x/day, but it dries my skin out way too much. I tried it for months thinking my skin would get use to it, but it never did. But with 1x/day I am happy with the results - Not perfect, but much better than if I went without. I have noticed that some batches I order are better than others, but for the amount of product I received for the price, I can't complain. I use this in combination with Dan's moisturizer too. I wish there was a product that worked equally as well and didn't stain my cloths though :-( I use it on my chest and back as well and any time you sweat, you can kiss your cloths goodbye.

Pros:

Clears Acne
Easy To Apply

Cons:

Burns In The Winter (for me anyway)
Smells Toxic

If you have the 160z bottle, you never finish all the product. The bottle stops pumping it because it is so thick. Just buy 2 8oz bottles

Nothing is perfect right? At the least it cleared my skin up for the most part.

Pros:

Smoother skin

Cons:

Redness
Flaking
More hyperpigmentation/scarring
Sun sensitivity

Despite sticking at it religiously for 6 months, BP just didn't work for me. However, this BP is definitely the best I've found in terms of having the least redness and flaking. It also absorbs better. Generally, I think if BP actually works for you then this is the best one to go for, but I had sensitive skin that was still red after 6 months.

Pros:

It. Works. My skin went from about 10-15 pimples at all times to 0 (maybe 1 if I skip a day or around my period). I can go outside without makeup and not feel like a horrible ogre. Not harsh on my skin because of the low BP%.

Cons:

Bleaches certain fabrics/dyes somewhat. All products with BP do this, and the lower % BP in this product makes it less of a problem than over the counter BP (typically 10%) or Proactiv, which bleaches EVERYTHING.

I'm 28 and I've had moderate acne and sensitive skin since I was about 13. When I was in high school and college I tried so many products. Everything over the counter containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, and my desperation finally convinced my mom to order Proactiv for me. All of these products were way too harsh, especially the scrubbing proactiv cleanser which would make my skin red and peel, and resulted in more pimples from irritation of the skin. We even went to a dermatologist and tried prescription topical treatments, and finally, antibiotic pills. Nothing worked, and mom drew the line at Accutane. A few years after college I had resigned myself to my fate when I came across acne.org. By that point I'd realized that my skin was also sensitive. The quiz helped me realize ways I was irritating my skin, and how to treat acne like a wound: touch it as little as possible, avoid irritation, don't mash it (yeah we all know that one), treat it gently. But I always said I wouldn't touch it if it wasn't there. And now... thanks to a less harsh treatment that doesn't irritate my skin but still kills those pesky bacteria... it isn't there.

Pros:

I can't say enough about this product. It clears up my cystic acne.

Cons:

Drying.

After many derm visits, wasting a lot of money, and trying a lot of products, I took a chance ordering this product and it is the only product that has product has cleared cystic acne! I only got cystic acne in my chin, but after using this product, I barely get any. So happy I discovered this product. I've been reading reviews that BP is bad for your skin, but i haven't experienced any discoloration on my eybrows. Only bad this is the dryness, which I'm handing with a good moisturizer.

Pros:

Product cleared my skin. Unbelievable results. Have tried everything literally...been to doctors, tried everything under the moon at drugstores and all the popular products that are celebrity endorsed! Nothing has ever worked like this! I can't stress enough on how important it is to use this as directed. I can not say enough positive things about this line. The lotion is amazing and is a must. The benzoyl peroxide is very drying the first month but honestly it's better than having acne.

Cons:

Dryness but honestly what acne product doesn't cause dryness. The lotion will really help with this. Please don't let the dryness deter you from this product. It's honestly works miracles!!!! It's the only thing that has ever actually cleared my skin!!!!

Best acne product I've ever used!!!! It actually works!!! Please please try this if you have acne!!!! It's honestly amazing and a game changer! I'm 25 and have had acne since I was 18!!!! I'm so happy that this product cleared me up. I hope it continues to work I've been using it for 5 months.

Pros:

-2.5 benzoyl peroxide as apposed to 10%, works just as well without severely drying your skin
-Simple ingredients, so for once in your life you know what you're putting on your skin
-A lot for little, the bottle hardly fits in my bathroom cupboard

Cons:

None

I've been dealing with moderately severe acne (which has progressively gotten better over the years) since I was twelve, I'm nineteen now and believe me I have a lot to say about it all, but I'll focus on this treatment. I was a 10% Panoxyl user for about 3 years up until two months ago when they started having production issues. It was a great product, I would highly recommended checking it out if you have moderately severe acne, but the reason it is inferior to Dan's treatment is mainly for just how drying it can be. My skin constantly cracked up and peeled, my skin could just never build a tolerance to it and I'm positive the irritation made things a bit worse, but it was still better than having pimples on every inch of my face. With Dan's treatment it comes with just 2.5%, that's a lot lower than something like Panoxyl's 10% so I always wrote it off, but reading some studies provided here and looking at Dan's regimen I decided to give it a shot. I think really though Dan's tactic of using more benzoyl peroxide to combat acne was the key. In conjunction with this light simplistic formula it makes that possible, which is ideal and damn does it work. Also, the fact that this treatment stays on your face as apposed to being lathered and washed off really guarantees your skin will absorb the benzoyl peroxide. So overall try it out for a month, but look into how Dan uses it on this site. I can really see why a lot of people are having issues. And by the way, you have to stick with this stuff. Its benzoyl peroxide, its going to have the potential effect of initially making things worse and drying skin just as any other product but if you really want to rid yourself of your acne that's what it might take. Benzoyl peroxide is hands down one of the best treatments for acne according to studies and polls and I think this product utilizes it the best.

Pros:

-Less burning than higher BP levels you find in drugstore products
-Prevents new cysts from forming on my jawline
-Any zits that do get through because of stress or hormones never get very big and go away within a couple of days
-A lot of product

Cons:

-Flakiness (way less than drugstore BP, though)
-Stains clothes (as does all BP)

I started following the regimen about a year ago and cleared up my acne using drugstore products with five or ten percent BP, which burn like crazy. I switched to two percent but could only find it in tiny little tubes, so when I ran out of my last little tube of drugstore BP I decided to order the Acne.org version. It's great - it goes on smoothly, clear, and wears well under makeup as long as I use plenty of my Cetaphil moisturizer to combat flakiness. I actually only use the treatment once per day, at night, unless I feel the familiar 'twinge' of a cyst about to pop up (I tend to get big, painful ones on my jawline that last for weeks). When I feel one coming up I start using this twice per day and it keeps them from developing and flaring up. I haven't had a cyst like that in months. This product does what it's supposed to do. As with all BP, this can bleach fabric, so I recommend getting white sheets and towels or just towels that you don't mind bleaching. It's part of the lifestyle and a small price to pay for clear skin.

Pros:

Works

Cons:

Bleaches clothes

I noticed the complaints about bleaching as well as reddening and flaking of skin. I have been able to combat both of these issues after using this product for 4 years now without a break. For the bleaching I literally only own white towels now as this has become part of my life and I needed to adjust. I also only sleep in white shirts and own only white sheets. This was no big deal once adjustments were made and now everything looks bright and clean. Clothing wise if I wear a colored shirt I tend to wear a t-shirt underneath to prevent transfer. For the reddening I invested a whole $4.00 for a bottle of aquaphor and put a tiny bit around my mouth and creases of my nose BEFORE applying BP. I have zero burning. I use CeraVe for my moisturizer which I use lightly and pat on and that seems to protect my eyes from burning. My skin is not scaly or dry even while using this product twice a day. Remember, all good products TRAVEL in your skin. Even if you are not putting something directly on your eyes or lips the product will travel or transfer from your pillow onto those areas. Protect with moisturizer.
