Thumbs all the way up
I've tried every product under the sun including two rounds of Accutane, acne always came back. This regimen is the BEST REGIMEN I've ever came across. You follow the exact directions, and week after week you WILL notice a difference. I'm really happy with this regimen. I feel normal. I don't have to put a pound of make up to hide my skin, let alone feeling like hiding from the world. I'm so glad I gave this a chance. It's been a year and a half and this is a part of my DAILY routine. Just a heads up - GET WHITE PILLOW CASES! It will bleach any colored sheets & pillow cases.. but clear skin is SO worth it. Remember there is NO cure for acne - not even Accutane - the key to clearer skin is consistency, patience, and FAITH that it will get better. I hope that all of my fellow acne suffers get clear because I know how it can take over your life. You will feel so free when it goes away!

Use with caution! Real experience for me.
Hi, I was a long time regimen user from 2006 - 2011. My face was breaking out horribly when I was 17. I tried a lot of over the counter acne products and skin care (which made things worse) before trying the regimen. After trying the regimen for a month, my face cleared up dramatically and was left with only red marks and little bit of whiteheads. I used a gentle cleanser, full amount of bp, and cetaphil lotion. I was getting compliments of my skin and I had a fabulous skin until December of 2010. One day I woke up in the morning, my face was really red, cracky, puffy, and full of whiteheads and postures. I was so shocked! I thought the regimen was gonna keep me clear until I become 30 or something. I thought I didn't put enough moisturizer so I kept using the regimen with a lot more moisturizer. It only made things worse. At that time, I stopped using the regimen and went to different skin care places to find cure for my skin. Found out, I became very allergic to bp after five years of usage. Even if I dap a little bit of bp on my face, it became red, flaky, and itchy. After trying to find the new way of dealing with acne, my skin was worse than before starting the regimen and was breaking out with cysts every morning. Then I had a thought. What if I use something simple with sulfur and salicynic acid? I did a lot of research and began to use coral kavi soap and cerave lotion. After few weeks of use, My skin cleared up with no marks! I was so surprised by the result of simple regimen! I didn't have to spend two hours of life everyday to put massive amount of bp and moisturizer! I kept the same regimen for 5 years until a month ago. In December of 2015, my face started breaking out a little bit. The symptom was the same except it wasn't as bad as when I got off from the dan's regimen. I had pimples here and there and with help of cetaphil cream, I stayed somewhat clear. But then one day when I woke up, I looked in my car's mirror and my right side of my face was full of white heads. I knew something was wrong. I kept using it thinking that I don't even know what I need to do at this point. Things were staying the same except I was getting painful pus filled pimples again. Then I realized Whenever i overuse a harah product for a long period of time, things just stop working and makes my skin condition worse and irritated. Starting two weeks ago, I started using purpose soap to wash my face, put Keeva tea tree oil, and moisturize with cetaphil cream or lotion. Now I added Dead Sea mud mask pack for weekly cleansing and am going to try garnier's moisturizing gel for day time moisturizer and thayles witch hazel as a toner. This time, ever since I quickly got off the kavi soap, my face looks and feels a lot better and I stopped breaking out. I'm just dealing with what was left behind for the last few months. Thing are looking positive and am experimenting and researching for a more less irritating and natural way of dealing with acne. This time is a lot better since I became a little older than when I got off bp. By the way I'm 27 years old now. For some people, regardless of whatever regimen, your skin is gonna be irritated and going to see worse results after long period of use. I know that dan's regimen worked great for me. But if I think about it now, it was only a temporary relief from the acne. It was dealing with acne, however, it didn't deal with the overall health of the skin condition. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try the regimen. It works! However you should lessen the usage and dosage once you become used to the regimen. For any harsh acne dealing product, you should lessen it and find a better way of dealing with acne. I decided to write a review here to share my experience with the regimen and my acne history for the last 10 years. I'm back to browsing the Internet trying to find something that's gonna keep me clear. This time, something less irritating and more natural.

Amazing product
I have been on this site for years and I've always seen the acne.org regimen advertised, but always thought it was just a sales ploy to get people that come here to buy a product that doesn't work, boy was I wrong! My acne has slowly been coming back after a third round on accutane and I thought I would give this a shot to finally control this lifelong problem. Especially since while accutane has worked for me, my acne has always come back. I've used this regimen for about a month and I'm completely clear! I don't have one pimple. I seriously can't believe it. The only complaint I have is that it makes my skin very dry, especially when I try to use make-up but I've been experimenting with putting more jojoba oil into the moisturizer and its helping a lot! Also, I can't recommend enough how important it is to start SLOWLY. I'm sensitive to benzoyl peroxide, but I started very slowly and the moisturizer balances out the benzoyl peroxide. This is a time consuming regimen but I don't even care. My skin means everything to me and I'm so happy. My skin looks like it did while on accutane and I hope it stays this way. :)

Holy Grail of acne remedies!

Pros:

Clears skin/great price
lightens hyperpigmentation/ evens out skin tone
leaves skin soft and smooth/ do not need any other products

Cons:

I didn't hear about it earlier!
Can be a little drying in the begining (goes away)

So I had never had acne until I reached my thirties, and it seemed everything I tried made my skin worse, I tried these product after watching a few of the videos. I can't express how wonderful these products are, not only did they clear up my severe acne but my hyperpigmentation is almost completely gone. I made some rookie mistakes in the beginning trying to add some of my old products in which cause new breakouts. When I only used acne.org products I got back on track and have completely clear skin. I have been using it for about 5 months and my skin has a glow that it hasn't had in years. I couldn't be happier with it.

What's happening?!

Pros:

Works fast

Cons:

Loses effectiveness

I started this regimen in September of 2012 and was absolutely amazed with the results. I had very severe cystic acne all over my face and it started really clearing up within the first couple weeks. In three months all I had left were my scars and one or two breakouts at a time, which I pretty much maintained but did not mind at all compared to where I came from. It lasted over a year and I was sure I found the answer, but now my skin is starting to flare up again! I'm still using the regimen but I think I am going back to where I was! I'm so sad right now and I'm wondering if others have experienced this and what they did! I have not changed the way I do the regimen yet it is seriously losing it's effectiveness. It worked great for a little over a year, but now it's not working at all! However, I would certainly say it's more than worth a shot!

The ULTIMATE Acne Cure

Pros:

It WORKS
It's EASY
NO adverse side effects

Let me preface this review by first stating that I seldom (if ever) write reviews for any of the products that I use on a daily basis (or write in all caps, for that matter); on the rare occasions that I DO comment on product it is in light of the product's extraordinary virtue or unbearable flaw. In this case, it's the former. This review is lengthy, but supremely worth it! Do read. Daniel Kern's "The Regimen" is a marvel. It is the single most effective acne treatment system in existence at the moment. It bears the fewest adverse side-effects, comes equipped with a knowledgeable and supportive community, is genuine in its approach, and flat out works. I should know, I've tried every acne treatment system in existence. I've consumed every antibiotic known to man at near megadoses, I've used every cream, lotion, and astringent on the market with zero success, and I've ben subject to 5 rounds light treatment with costs totalling $2500 ($500 a shot). None of that stuff worked, like, AT ALL!. The only treatment I was fortunate to avoid is isotretoin (more on that later). In fact, to give justice to the product, I think I'll extoll the virtues of the "The Regimen" piece by piece. (1) The Cleanser: The best cleanser period. It's odourlessness makes it the best smelling cleanser out there, it foams (AWESOME!), it's gentle, and it's substantial. In fact, my whole family now uses it because it's so darned good; it blows the cetaphil stuff right out of the water, and that's saying a lot. (2) The Treatment: It's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide done right! I consider myself a BP connoisseur (I went all the way up to 12% at one point, yikes!), and the Acne.org BP is the finest stuff you'll ever find. First of all, the format of the container (I use the 16 oz.) creates the essential "The Regimen" psychological framework: just when you think you've used too much, USE MORE! The amount of BP I used initially would overwhelm most, but it was essential in my process. Furthermore, the fact that the Acne.org BP is an a gel based medium (as opposed to a cream) is incredible; it means that it doesn't have to be applied with the speed and agility of a jewel thief, because it won't immediately dry on the face, it goes on with a soothing sensation and, most importantly, WILL NOT turn white when exposed to moisture (i.e. perspiration). Alas, I can indulge in a mid-day tennis match without excusing myself to wash my face before hand. (3) The Moisturizer: I dare you to find another moisturizer out there with licorice root extract, and no that $10/oz. designer stuff you find online or at the department store DOES NOT COUNT. This stuff is rich without being greasy, and readily penetrates the skin without dissipating too quickly. I mean, this stuff is pretty sweet! A few drop of Jojoba, which in my opinion is not essential to the regimen and that I've only recently introduced to my routine, takes it to a whole new level. In conclusion, "The Regimen" cures acne. In a few months it did what years (!!!!!!) of antibiotics and 10% BP creams could not do: it eliminated my cystic acne. The very first picture I took of myself the day I started "The Regimen" still induces fear, anxiety, and a sense of shock at the individual I once was; acne truly did dominate my life at one point. Remember, earlier in this post I mentioned how I avoided the wrath of isotretoin? Well, it's true. Now, I know isotretoin is a treatment that works for many people, but, after having read the horror stories, I was resolved to never touch the stuff. After a 5th dermatologist telling me that isotretoin was my last resort, I turned to the interweb and found Acne.org. I'm glad I did. "The Regimen" was my last stop before isotretoin. But it worked! "The Regimen" worked for me because it is just that, regimented. It employs the best products, ensures that you apply them correctly, is free of serious adverse side-effects, and comes with a supportive and informative community, free o' charge. It has given my the gift of glowing skin and the confidence to behave in a fashion consistent with my own personality and life goals. Thank you Acne. org! -doctor neutrino Male, 20

A miracle!

Pros:

Fast clearing
No smell
Works!

Cons:

Dryness
Itchyness
Flakyness

I suffered with serious breakouts on my forehead for about a year. It was absolutely embarrassing! I felt so unconfident in my appearance. I didn't even want to go to school! I tried every drugstore product out there and nothing worked for me. One day when I was on YouTube, I came across a video that changed my life! This girl was raving about these products and I was curious about them so I checked out the website. I ended up ordering it which I was hesitant about at first but i'm so glad I did! The Regimen cleared my skin in less than a week!! Yes, there was some dryness here and there but other than that, it was amazing! I am so happy with this product and will continue to repurchase it again and again! Thank you Dan! You are a lifesaver.

Pros:

Gentle, fragrance free, inexpensive, really works

Cons:

None

At 40 years old I started having severe cystic breakouts along my jawline, the side of my cheeks and occasionally around my mouth. After googling 'acne' a million times trying to find answers, I clicked on this site that kept coming up and started reading. I was skeptical, but had nothing to lose. If I had before and after photos to show I would! This has been a miracle really, I am so grateful to Dan. I nave never written a review on anything, but I feel this is so important! The regimen works!

Pros:

easy to use
showed results in 2 weeks!
it works!

Cons:

NONE!

so it has been 1 month since i have started using the regimen and holy crap! it really does work! i first discovered this product by watching some of my favorite youtube beauty gurus and thought what the heck ill give it a try. i have tried so so so soooo MANY products throughout my life since i was in 8th grade and just decided to give up because none of them were working. i lost hope trying to cure my acne. i am now 22yrs old and i have now found my holy grail for acne! i have used products ranging from proactive, neutrogena, clean&clear, acne free, dermalogica, and Obagi acne products and NONE worked. i am so glad that i decided to try The Regimen because i was reluctant at first, but i got results within 2 weeks! even people at school were noticing that my skin seemed more smoother and clearer. of course they asked what i did and i said "go to acne.org!" haha. the only downfall is that it makes my face dry and flaky (i have an oily face), but thats what i expected because thats what the info said that it will do. another is that it is time consuming with the wait in between the products to apply them, but hey The Regimen works best if you wait for each product to completely dry to apply the next one. now my only problem is my acne scars. anyways, thanks Dan!

Pros:

Actually works!

Cons:

Extreme dryness at first and flakes.

I have been using the Regimen for approximately 4 months, and I can't tell you how happy I am with the Acne.org products. Like most people, I've tried many different acne products, and none seemed to really work all that effectively. I've never had severe acne, but when I got into my twenties, I started having persistent breakouts that just wouldn't clear up. I did a lot of research on the Regimen before trying it and was really concerned about the harsh effects of the benzoyl peroxide. Let me just say that when you first start the Regimen, you will have a really hard time. It's no picnic or walk in the park. If your acne is anything like mine, it will become worse before it gets any better... And this worsening process will take place AFTER the first week or so you start using the BP. It takes several days for the dryness to set in. Follow the Regimen instructions EXACTLY until at least month three. After month three, I started changing up my morning Regimen use. Here are some of my tips to make the process easier. Go SLOW with the BP. Let your skin get adjusted. Go ahead and buy the Jojoba Oil and AHA. You won't need the AHA right away, but the product is SOOOO helpful for flaking later on. Use as much moisturizer as possible at night (2 pumps or more of Dan's moisturizer). Don't touch your face! Your skin will be more susceptible to injury when using the BP. What I'm trying to say is, don't mash your face because it will leave after marks that take at least a week to go away. Be consistent. Consistency is so critical for this to work. If you wear makeup, find something that goes well with the BP. I think liquid foundation is better, but that is just my opinion. (I like Revlon Colorstay) Other than that, keep reading the reviews and the forums from Acne.Org. They help so much. Oh, and keep this in mind...once you're clear, it is the best confidence booster you can imagine. The few weeks of sacrifice is by far worth the results.
