Pros:

- reduces inflammation
- makes existing pimples smaller (cysts)
- fades old scars (kinda)

Cons:

after i put it on, my face gets really tight and i find it hard to even smile.

i used the mild version of it, and so far i havent experienced any of the redness, itchiness or flakiness... and its working really well for me.. i can really see my pimples getting smaller each day.. (I have moderate acne..) (the reason why i bought it for only 3 dollars is because of insurance)

Pros:

Amazing makes my skin look younger, fresher, removes dead dull skin, it helps with the acne by unclogging pores.

Cons:

Sometimes skin gets dry in winter but I fix that with unscented Aveno moisturizer with oatmeal (Walmart sells a less expensive version) or aloe vera gel, or just don't apply gel for a few days till dryness goes away.

Great results with Stievamycin gel, it works extreamly well for me. I think I have been using it for 5 years now. I sometimes only use it 2 evenings per week, before I retire on clean skin, make sure your skin has time to dry (15 min) before you apply it, don't apply if skin is still wet from washing. I think important to apply very very thin layer of gel to skin, skip a day if it irritates too much. A small tube 25g will last me 4-6 months.

Pros:

-quick and easy to apply
-Skin looks better

Cons:

-dries out the skin quite a bit
-sometimes it stings, but nothing too bad

I was told I had to be patient for this to work, so I have been. I've been using stievamycin fo about 7 weeks and I've noticed an improvement, but by no means is my acne all gone. I had little bumps all over my forehead, and there are definitely less now. If I feel a zit coming, applying this to the spot seems to dry it out before it get to big. So far it seems to be slowly looking better and hopefully it continues to improve over the next few months.

Pros:

it prevents breakouts, peels away dead skin (2 much sometimes)

Cons:

really blotchy and red skin, over dries skin, makes it really sensitive to sunlight, skin also peels excessively from time to time

its the most effective thing out there because i have literally tried everything! and i mean everything and this is the best results.

Pros:

drying up acne
removing marks

Cons:

slight dryness
slight flaking
slight burning and irritation

I've been using stieva (free) for exactly 15 days along with Phisohex ($20.00). I am 30 years old and have had very mild acne over my years until now its mroe moderate. I used Stievamycin in high school and it worked well then so my sister suggested I go to the doctor and get a prescription. It does leave a clear film and it did clear bumps on my nose to reveal nice clear skin but made me right cheek a little red and blotchy...I just woke up one day due to stress and life changes and trying some new cream to see the sides of my face, forehead and chin were covered..when over the counter treatments stopped working, I started crying and people were asking me what happened to my face I knew I needed a prescription....so far it seems to be drying up the acne, but the marks seem more noticeable..I am trying to be patient and everyone here who left positive comments have helped.

Pros:

Definitely making a noticable difference

Cons:

I think it takes a while to have fully satisfying results

I've only used this product for 3 days on a bad breakout of acne i got on my chest a few months ago. After the first day, i had a mild breakout of a few whiteheads, which i heard is normal, but they seemed to rub off pretty easily. I'm now on my 3rd day and i've gotten no new breakouts, although there are alot of red spots, they seem to be shrinking, and calming down alot. Seems to be on pace as something that will have a noticable effect within a week or 2.

Pros:

at first burns and make skin red and flaky. Give it 2 weeks and pimples will be gone.

I use this, i take 350mg of saw palmetto, and I use neutrogena healthy skin lotion spf 15 in the day. All acne has stopped and only post acne marks are left (which are fading). Please go to this website and say this prayer... it is amazing. Thanks to St. Therese I am cured! [link removed]

I've had constant breakouts since about my second year in highschool (15-16) and I'm 21 now and it hasn't stopped. My face isn't horrible but I'm so frustrated with ALWAYS having to wear makeup. Anyways this is the first time I've been prescribed any kind of medicine for my face. My doctor wanted to put me on some oral antibiotics but I wouldn't allow it because of some horror stories I've heard about extremely dangerous side effects. I've been using the gel for about a week now and I have to agee, my face is REALLY dry and itchy and I do have red spots. What I've noticed so far is that it has reduced the number of pimples I notice on a daily basis so that's a bonus. But I'm also wondering if this has to do with the point I'm at in my menstrual cycle as well since over the years I've noticed my breakouts are closely related to that. I'm going to continue using it, I know it will take some time. Got my fingers crossed! Anyone know what kind of moisturizer I can use during the day?
