Pros:

it makes me feel refreshed and clean.

Cons:

it caused me to have more acne.

i used to only have minor pimples along my t-zone but when i started using this i have them all over. they are red and hurt. someone told me that dermalogica makes the acne worse before it makes it better..but how long will that take?

Pros:

It cleared and brightened my skin for the first few days. (I used anti-bac).

Cons:

After a few days, my skin felt really tight and itchy and DRY~ Then i broke out really bad.. way worse than it was to begin with. I stopped using the product.

I don't recommend it as it made my skin worse. Maybe if I kept using it, it would have settled down but my skin was too dry and itch, not to mention the bad breakout.

Pros:

This product does work. i have sensitive skin as well as adult acne and although a little drying in places it has been succussful. it also feels very good on the skin.

Cons:

Not available everywhere. i buy dermalogica online.

If this dermalogica product suits your skin you need to make it part of your dailygrooming routine. you can not use it sporadically as it does not work that way.

Pros:

Smelled nice

Cons:

Caused severe cystic acne around mouth
Made skin itchy and dry
My skin was far too sensitive for this product

I used this product along with the moisturiser and oil control lotion - Within three weeks of use I broke out and it just kept escalating from there. The combination of using all three caused my light/moderate acne (as in, a few pimples every few weeks) to ruptured into painful pustules and huge, painful cysts all around my chin, mouth and cheeks. I'm talking cysts the size of 20 cent coins... they took MONTHS to go away. I had always been acne prone, and this was when I was 16 so I'm sure hormones also contributed to it - clean and clear made me break out some years before. But it was NOTHING like this. I didn't want to leave the house, look anybody in the eye, it was horrid. I'm sure this product will work for some people, but I will never touch this stuff again.

Special Cleansing Gel may not be suitable for acneic skin types.

Pros:

Lasts for 6-8 months. Twice a day.
Good lather.
No salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide or sulfate.

Cons:

doesn't clear acne for most
skin reacts when switching derm cleansers
Expensive

Many of my clients love special cleansing gel. I prefer the clearing skin wash for hormonal acne. I have had great results with the clearing skin wash. I switched to the special cleansing gel to see how my skin would react. I started it around my menstrual cycle and used it for 2 weeks after. I noticed that I had a continuous pustular break out on my chin and lower cheeks. I discontinued the special cleansing gel because it seemed to not work for me. It's so hard to recommend products to people because everyones skin reacts so differently even though people have similar skin types. I've had people tell me that they break out from Active Moist. It's an oil free moisturizer. It's frustrating. I say "just stick with whatever works for your skin"! I hope this helps.

Pros:

sensitively cleanses skin.
prevents breakouts

Cons:

a bit over-priced, but you get what you pay for!
Of course, I would use multiple bottles of the "cheaper" products and go through the more quickly, therefore in the end, the price balances out. it's just the initial blow.

Know your skin and what reaction(s) chemicals/ingredients have on it. Of course, it's also what you put in your body that has a huge influence on your skins reaction!!!! Try it...if it works.. BUY IT!

Pros:

It feels good going on the skin, and very light.

Cons:

my skin produces more blackheads than ever before. My adult acne is worse than high school.

I've been using Dermalogica's Medibac line for six months- including 7 Medibac facials at the salon. I have very sensitive skin. My skin looks worse than ever! I would not recommend this product to adults with sensitive skin or severe acne

Pros:

Keeps oiliness away, helped clear my skin up.

Cons:

Is quite pricey

I was put off using Dermalogica because of the price, but I got the travel pack for Christmas and will be using the products from now on. The three products for my skin type (normal/oily) are just gorgeous, I love the toner its so refreshing. I did not experience any side effects when first using it like most products.

Holy grail cleanser
My fave cleanser ever. Before this, I was over washing my face because my face never felt clean and that was making my acne worse. Been using this solid for 2 and a bit years, occasionally in conjunction with the dermal clay cleanser also from Dermalogica. Amazing stuff, is so gentle but really does clean your face and helps calm everything down. Holy grail product.

Pros:

My skin was hydrated and felt smooth the first two days. It was refreshing and my skin seemed more pliable.

Cons:

I broke out in little tiny bumps all over after two days. It started near my eyes and then my entire face was covered in what appeared to be almost like impetigo like bumps. It was itchy and my skin was the worst it's ever been.

I believe that there is some type of mega allergin in this product because I've read some other reviews that are very similiar to mine. The only other thing I could think is that this is not a product for adult sensitive skin. I believe it to be allergy though...I did a mini allergy test on my arm w/ all products from the sample kit and the biggest reaction was from the face wash and the mosturizers. My face burned a little when I used the toner.
