Pros:

wow this stuff was amazing and my skin was clear in two weeks! my oil was gone, my pores were clear, i was so happy until week 3.

Cons:

i'm highly allergic

i started getting sick and really dizzy and nauseated after week 2. so i went to the doctor because i couldn't even get out of bed. she said i had a sinus infection and a viral infection, so i stopped taking the pill for a week and tried a different antibiotic. when i stopped using that, i went back to my sulfa pill and i had an allergic reaction. i ended up passed out at school about an hour later and they rushed me to the hospital. that thing nearly killed me. :( this pill is amazing, it SUCKS that i'm allergic. :(

Pros:

it does not induce redness at all on my skin. no irratation.

Cons:

takes awhile to work. not immediate results

if you are tired of having to go through the same cycle of burning off your acne and then treating the flaky residue...take klaron. its very complimenting to the skin. your skin will love it.

Pros:

Works great and is really easy to use. It does not smell or cause any other side effects.

Cons:

I think that after a few years it loses its effectiveness.

I am in the Army and so I get a generic sodium sulfacetamide for free. It is not that well known, but I have kept a stash of it. I started breaking out again after a year or so of clear skin. I think I have developed a resistance to it or there is something in my new location that is causing me to break out.

Pros:

plexion cleanser is wonderful. At first it dried my skin, but after a weeks the dryness went away. Also, buy the plexion sct mask. You wet your face, and put the mask on evenly, and it dries quickly. The mask really tightens up on your face.

Cons:

nothing nothing nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

The cleanser is a great product. after a few days the dryness from the cleanser goes away. If your a woman and you wear makeup. The cleansers drying effect goes away quickly so your foundations and whatever will go on smoothly

Ovace Plus and Differin
I used to have moderate acne about a year ago, then i started using adapalene .1% at night and Ovace in the day. This worked wonders! After a period of dryness for about a week or two, my skin started to clear up. I started this treatment in October, and I was 100% clear by April. I would still get a pimple every once in a while, but my cysts and scars were gone! I definitely reccomend this product!

Klaron, Mexar, Ovace, Ovace Plus, RE 10 Wash, Sulfacetamide skin wash
Loved the above products and have been using them for years. Today I was told by the pharmacy that they have been taken off the market. Did anyone else hear about this and why???

Fantastic
I was taken off of a strong antibiotic for my acne (Solodyn) because it was too dangerous to take for more than a year. I was put on a much weaker and much less efficient antibiotic. My skin started looking the worst it has ever looked, even though I was on Tazorac and Aczone as well. Marks, horrible texture, cysts, dark spots, and breakouts regularly. Finally, I was put on the Sulfacetamide skin wash, and over the course of 6 months, all of those problems have practically vanished. None of the other products helped me as much as this $15 skin wash has. I have found that you HAVE to make sure you exfoliate every once in awhile, or else the product works a lot less. I still use Doxycycline, Tazorac, and Aczone, just because my acne is so severe, but part of me thinks that I might not even need to be on those anymore.

Pros:

Works when nothing else will, no smell, dries quickly, makes you happy!

Cons:

None.

I tried a bunch of different products....and my acne progressively got worse. Klaron cleared it up right from the beginning....and just got better, and better, and better. I promise it works!

Pros:

It works ! Control oil very well, which is usually the cause of acne. Easy to use.

Cons:

It smell....who cares !

I prescribe this to my clients along with The RX Systems Glycolic home care products. I see GREAT results for mild to moderate/semi severe clients. I also do glycolic peels and micros occasionally to further the results.
