Choose from 1 to 5 stars

Pros:

leaves soft skin- used for all skin type
creamy

Cons:

don't lay near anything smelly- it smells weird later on
costs alot for a bar of soap

I need this soap if their body reacts horribly to soaps- this is the soap to use. I stopped using it for a few months- my body felt rough, my face had acne- all the cleansers i bought did not work. So buy!

Pros:

Helped to clear up spots on my chest within a week. My usual soap was making me broke out. I changed to dove and it cleared up!

Cons:

I've read somewhere that it clogs pores.

It definitely worked on my chest!

Pros:

Lathers well
Cleanses thoroughly
Washes away nicely

Cons:

Not good for face (body wash only)
Smell is a bit strange
wish it came in another form besides a bar

This was recommended to me by my dermatologist after I broke out in a rash all over my body from Dial. This cleared up the rash nicely, and I continue to use it because its cheap and works well. I dont care so much for the smell, but it keeps breakouts at bay, although I wouldnt recommend for a facial cleanser as I found it clogged my pores.

the old dove sensitive skin bar has been discontinued. im using the new dove sensitive skin UNSCENTED BAR. I never tried the old one due to all the plant oils it had in it but this one is great!!! it has worked wonders on my skin(combined with neutrogena acne defense lotion with 2% salicylic acid). i was having a hard time finding the right cleanser for my sensitive skin until i found this. its amazing and it also helps control oil.

Really good. People say not to use soap on your face...yes well, acne medicated washes are way harsher than this soap. The trick is to be gentle. Lukewarm/tepid water, make a lot of lather (thick) and massage this on your face. I like to leave it on for a bit, then wash off with more tepid water. Do not use scrubs, meds or anything. You will see an improvement. I personally find the white orginal works well too.

Pros:

Easy to Use
Smells Nice
Gentle
Helps Dry Acne
Removes Makeup
Not Soap

Cons:

Drying
Leaves Tight, Residue Feeling
Doesn't Prevent Acne
Possibly Less Sanitary (Because it's a bar)
Can Be Messy

I started using the Dove Beauty Bar about 4 months ago. I used it because Retin-A really made my skin awful, and I wanted to switch to something without chemicals for a while. I used the bar every single night, and almost every morning. And I didn't use anything else on my face except for moisturizer when needed. I really wanted it to work for me, but sadly it didn't. I have oily skin, but it made my skin really flaky, worse than normal in the winter months. And it didn't do much about my acne, in fact it made it a little worse. And my skin always felt like it had a residue on it when I was done washing. I hoped it would work for my acne if I stuck with it, but I'm calling it quits on this one! I just switched to a medicated facial cleanser and I hope that clears things up!

Pros:

great for the body

Cons:

clogged pores, caused more breakouts

my doctor at one point recommended dove soap for my acne prone skin and while using it I was constantly having breakouts, my pores were always clogged and my skin just didn't feel clean. I figured it was just my skin and now the soap causing that since my dr and dermatologists all recommend this soap for acne. I recently switched to Spectro Jel and my skin has never looked better. for the first time in months and months I have my smooth clear skin back. I'm sure it works for some people but unfortunately it just caused more problems for me.

Pros:

smells nice, and cleans face well, only to be used in shower once. Does dry out my face, but i guess thats good because i have oily skin. At night just rinse my face with cold water, and repeat the same process in the morning.

Cons:

None

This soap is very good to use in the shower in the morning or later on in the afternoon after work out. At night I just rinse my face with cold water, and repeat the same process in the morning. I use a scrub every 3 days, and a mask every sunday evening. I do not use any astrigents or toners because once washing my face with dove soap bar, all the dirt and oil has already been removed so i would need to make my face any dryer because i will just make my face produce more oil. Anyway bottom line try dove :Dx
