Pros:

Easy, cheap, healing, soothing

Cons:

Messy

I use non-iodizined table salt, it's super cheap. I mix 1/2 tps with my mild face wash and gently exfoliate morning and night. I have mixed it with honey to create a mask and wear it while I soak in the tub (messy, but who cares, you're in the bath). I have a highly concentrated solution of salt and water in a bottle. I apply a dab before bed and sleep with it all night. I have very, VERY sensitive skin. Most things cause my skin to react, burn and peal. I have had no problems with using salt. My skin is smoother and far less irritated. It has brought any cysts to head and reduced blackheads and whiteheads

The ONLY thing that helps me!!
I'm one of those cliche people that have tried "everything." I have hormonal acne which is sometimes cystic, most of the times just painful zits that eventually come to a head after several days. Also, since about May, my cheeks have become extremely dry. Like thick, chunky dry skin. Which is odd for me since I've always had oily skin. I was reluctant to try this sea salt remedy because I didn't want it to dry my skin, so I started using it as a spot treatment. It works WONDERS. I've struggled with hormonal acne since I started my period in high school and I've NEVER found anything that helps me. I find that if the zit is small, like a tiny clogged pore, it dries up before my work day is over. If it's a cystic or larger zit, I apply the sea salt water about 3 times a day and it will be a head by the next day. I'm from the south so even on perfect days, the humidity is at 70% or higher. I recently went to New Mexico and whatever dry skin I had amplified. I started using sea salt water as a toner twice a day and my dry skin is GONE. This remedy may not help prevent acne 100%, especially hormonal. Personally, I dont think anything can prevent hormonal acne at those times of the month. But it definitely helps when you do get acne and helps with dry or fungal problems you may have. I give this a 5 star rating because it's the ONLY thing that topical that has EVER cleared my skin!

So glad I decided to try this
I don't apply the water/sea salt solution all over my face but in areas that I get the occasional cyst or whitehead and they'll be gone within 1-3 days :) I'm glad I opted for this and ditched the harsh cleaners to just treat certain areas (my cheeks mainly). I've been using gentle cleansers and this to kill any acne bacteria and my face has been improving nicely ^^ Still got a slight hyper-pigmentation problem but most of those marks have faded

Pros:

Everything
Cleared my back acne COMPLETELY
Confidence boost for bikini season
No irritation on my back
Drying in a good way
Easy to use

Cons:

Wish it could've got rid of scars but that's ok, they're not that bad, and the acne is the most annoying anyways.

Let me start with the fact that I used mediterranian sea salt. I soaked a lot in water, added a few drips of tea tree oil in it (about 6), and put it in a spray bottle. Right when I get out of the shower AFTER SHOWERING WITH NATURAL BLACK SOAP I put on my clothes (don't dry off with a towel, it leaves lent on u). I spray this all over my back and leave it on till my next shower in the morning. I could promise u that in a freakin week my back was acne free. I was able to enjoy being in a bikini. After u get the results u want u can stop using it. Just make sure to shower daily and with good soap. Maybe a few bumps will come back when u stop; just do it again and in a day or two they're gone again. Please try this if you've tried everything for your body acne.

Pros:

Has totally cleared up my skin!! All pimples have been reduced in size and if any come up they come to head and dry out almost instantaniously! Also, since I have combination/oily skin this keeps my face dry overnight.

Cons:

If you have dry skin, this will make your face drier so you may need to try this in combination with a good moisturiser.

FANTASTIC!! Every night after I cleanse my face, I spray my face with salt water (3 tablespoons of rock sea salt in a spray bottle, dissolved) so that it is dewy, but not dripping. Let dry and sleep!!

Pros:

natural, easy to use, dries out acne, doesn't over dry, clears blemishes quickly, inexpensive, effective

Cons:

need occasional moisturizer, but nothing that can't be solved with an application of moisturizer

After spending a couple of days at the beach this past weekend, my face has significantly cleared up so after coming home I decided that I would try to simulate the ocean water with sea salt I found in my cabinets. I made a mixture of sea salt and water which I use as an astringent three times a day and right before I go to bed. In the mornings, I take a pinch of salt and mix a couple of drops of water in the palm of my hand and gently apply to my face. This become a more concentrated version of the astringent. I leave this on for a couple of minutes. Ever since the beach, my face has been consistently cleaner than ever before, not counting those lucky hours before just another acne breakout.

Pros:

Works Well
Cost

Cons:

Burns a little, nothing one cant handle though
Dries out, must use moisturizer

My 14 year old began using Sea Salt along with her Proactive regimen. Not that the Proactive didn't work, because it did, just not perfect enough for her. We are about a week & a half into adding Sea Salt & her face is as clear as ever.

Pros:

easy
cheap
worked for me

Cons:

none

I've been using this method more than a week now and it's amazing! It almost cleared my skin and it gets better every day. You will see the result after 1-2 days. It doesn't hurt to try and you probably already have it in your house. So what i do is i dilute in water as much sea salt i can and using a cotton pad i apply it all over my face after cleansing. I wait about 30-40 minutes and rinse it off. And don't forget to apply moisturizer after that. You should cleanse your face two times a day: in the morning and before bed (just in case you didn't know). Good luck :)

Pros:

Amazing! Almost completely got rid of all acne in one treatment!

Cons:

Dries face a little, but moisturiser fixes that. I use Marula Oil.

I went to the beach and noticed my face was looking great, so a couple of days later I took a trip to the pier and filled a bottle with sea water! Sounds a little odd but I soaked my face with a face cloth full of it and focussed more on the newer pimples with cotton balls. If it gets too dry, moisturise it whenever you need but this is the only thing that's EVER worked for me. Such a great find.
