Pros:

Exfoliates skin; makes it smoother and less bumpy.

Cons:

It might burn if you scrub harshly, have severe acne, or just sensitive skin in general.

It's very good at cleaning your skin and it keeps the whiteheads and blackheads at bay. One table spoon of salt water with just enough water to get it all wet and lather it on your face and leave it on for about 1.5-2 minutes. Maybe try to scrub it in gently, but we don't want any damaged pores!

Pros:

Great exfolliant (especially when used with olive oil - 1-2 teaspoons of each, mixed).
Cheap and easy to get.

Cons:

Gave me tiny zits on my forehead.
Wouldn't recommend it as a mask because it is aggressive.

Use it as exfolliant (preferably with olive oil) 2-3 times a week. Avoid areas where it gives you irritation or, like in my case, tiny zits (on the forehead).

Pros:

cheap, easy, convenient

Cons:

my skin gets irritated for about 30 min. - 1hr after application

It works. Skin feels soft, supple, non-oily, and looks smoother. It won't rid of your acne completely, but is nice to add to your regimen.

A nice addition
I only use sea salt dissolved in water a couple times a week and sometimes follow the application with moisturizer, depending on how my skin feels, but I believe the sea salt helps with my existing pimples and also tempers upcoming acne. It's such an easy-peasy thing to try that while it hasn't vanished my acne, it was definitely worth a shot. Contrary to my expectations sea saltwater didn't sting/burn, made my face horribly red, or make my skin unbearably dry. Just one more little piece in the puzzle of controlling my acne, and I'll take all the pieces I can get.

Pros:

Kills bacteria. cheap. Convenient, since I live at the beach. Can be used as an exfoliater but you have to be VERY gentle

Cons:

Made my face dry. Might be a little too harsh to people with sensitive skin

It's a good alternative. It's very cheap and there's no chemical side effects. If your face can handle it, do it.

Pros:

Cheap.

Cons:

Doesn't work. I used Dead Sea Salt to bathe my face in +- 15 mins a day for about 2 weeks, and saw no real improvement. In fact I had huge breakouts the first couple of days I used it. At first I thought my skin was purging, buy apparently it was not

You can always try, but it didn't work for me. It's messy, too.
