Highly recommend

Gentle non stripping and with salicylic acid that helps with removing some oil and dead skin cells. Like with any cleanser you must gently massage it on to skin for 45 seconds to allow the acids to have an affect. Wash every morning and night to see improvements. Also recommend Alba acnedote and Burt's bees (both with salicylic acid). Follow up with gel moisturizer

Changed my skin life

I'm in my late 20s, and I've been on a skin care journey over the last 2 years. I had pretty significant acne when I was younger, my skin cleared, and now over the last couple years I've had some adult acne, probably due to not being good about washing my makeup off at the end of the day (I wear a full face on almost a daily basis) and not really curating a skin care routine. At the start of this journey, I was using the acne.org system religiously. I saw great reviews of this online, and I have no complaints about those products. It's a simple system, and it works. I'm just sometimes a little last minute with things, and I like being able to just run to the store and pick up my cleanser if I run out. I used the Cerave PM moisturizer (morning and night, it's not too heavy for me in the day) as well as this cleanser. I've been using them for probably about 6 months, and I have no complaints. My skin has never looked better. If you have normal to dry skin, this might dry you out a little, so definitely load up on moisturizer, but for my oily combo skin it's not too bad. I love this product, and I'll keep using this as long as it's available.

TL;DR Good luck finding a better ingredient list for this price XD
Wanted to try something other than Cetaphil, which worked well for me, but contained parabens. ¯_(ツ)_/ ¯ CeraVe lathers up very mildly on my face--almost more like a cream than a regular facial cleanser that foams. I've heard that some people were unable to wash off their makeup using this SA cleanser, but it seems to do the job for my light daily makeup looks. =) Favorite part of this product is the fantastic ingredient list, with BHA exfoliant salicylic acid, skin-plumping ceramides, and anti-aging hyaluronic acid (not a skin priority at my current age, but you can never start too soon!): a real powerhouse ingredient list, especially for the drugstore. XD Also love how hydrating the formula is--save for the rare dry patch by the nose or chin, I'm able to get away with applying no moisturizer at all, and enjoy a shine-controlled complexion. With frequent use affected areas of my skin noticeably smoothen out and soften into a delicately dewy finish. (^_^)

Holy Grail!
This stuff is great. I use every morning before putting on my finacea cream. Doesn't irritate skin if you use once daily. Has helped keep acne at a minimum (as much as any wash or topical can do). Has worked better than anything else I've ever tried. ****UPDATE 8/5/2016 So I still love this SA version, but did some research and found out that the SA doesn't really do much in this product. You are basically washing it right off so that would make sense. That said, save a dollar and purchase the regular cerave kind for normal/oily skin and it will do just the same for less money spent.

SA in any cleanser works. For products that you have to wash off I recommend leaving them on for at least a minute, like for a cleanser with an acid I recommend gently washing your face with the cleanser for 30 - 45 seconds
