Proactive specialists tell you how to use it. Many people complain about how it makes your skin dry out or how it doesn't work or how you don't get enough in each bottle ( for the price ). I can't say I've had bad pimples or acne, but I like my face completely clear just like everyone else. The ammount they suggest for you to use is way to much, this is what is causing dryness and irritation. I have purchased this product once and got a sample of it to begin with. The product I purchased myself has now lasted me well over a year. I've still got that one tiny pimply a month on my face. You can't expect any product to have dramatic effects. First I began to use the '' Renewing Cleanser '' each morning in the shower using a fairly good ammount to cover my face and I used my finger tips to scrub only!!. The reason for using it in the shower is because 1. Your hands are clean in there and you won't get dirt on your face causing your pores to get dirty and then swell and turn into pi

Pros:

Works pretty good. It doesnt COMPLETELY get rid of the zit overnight but it does extract redness from it. Try it.

Cons:

Its in a pretty small bottleish container thing.
Takes some time for skin to get used to, just like the whole 3 step Proactiv thing.

-takes redness out -takes some time for it to work -a little expensive for such a small container -Not that great. Try other spot treatments.

Pros:

- feels cool and calming

Cons:

DID NOT WORK AT ALL FOR ME but proactive 3 step system is working well. left redmarks on my face after i took it off
ON THE SPOT from Neutrogena is MUCH more effective

My face doesnt really react to sulfur. So U Need to try this product yourself. I mean look at the feedback on this thing. its crazy!! looks like it works for 90 PERCENT of people. Good luck guys

Pros:

Dries up breakouts and reduces scar appearance.

Cons:

Stinky. Expensive. Drying.

My friend gave me the full size because she gave up completely on proactive, but I will continue to buy this. I heard it's expensive though. It's the only thing from proactive that works. I use it twice a week along with bp and jojoba oil. My skin is clearing up so well since I've come across this site.

Pros:

Fights pimples faster than any other over the counter regimen.

Cons:

Smells Like s*&%

I recommend this product to anyone, like me, who has occasional breakouts. It works in a couple of days, if not overnight, and it's worth getting. If your like me and tried all the over the counter products and they didnt work, get this. It's the best.

Pros:

This product is amazing. It calms my skin when I have pressure-causing acne and when I remove the mask I can see how open my pores are and the oil/plugs coming out of my skin.

Cons:

The price for Proactiv overall is high, but I feel it is worth it. I actually like the sulfur smell, but I might have a positive association with it's affects on my acne.

Get it if you can at all afford it! I use it once or twice a week and you only need a small amount. You can also focus it exclusively on your problem areas (i.e., my chin, upper lip and nose). Also, leave it on for more than the 10 minutes it suggests. Really let it dry up.

Pros:

It doesn't have any wierd side effects and it doesn't irritate ur skin

Cons:

It didn't really do much for me, not worth the 70 bucks.

I've been using the stuff for about 3 years now and i haven't really gotten much of a result. Though its the only stuff that has even the slightest impact on my acne. For me, this stuff isn't worth the 70 bucks i'm finally gonna quit and move to accutane.
