Vaseline is amazing
So I suffered a lot of pimples and bumps along my forehead and some were starting to get scabby and bloody and you could just notice them so easily I hated It so I went to the pharmacy and brought a pimple reducing scrub but it made matters worse it made my skin feel really dry and flakey and my nose and forehead started flaking so I just stopped using any products until I heard a lot about Vaseline my sister told me about this and so I did abit of testing myself. And it did wonders in one night or in one day my scabs were gone there was no more redness and there were just a few bumps and it leaves your skin feeling sooo smooth. So just test it out your self to see if this works for you I really hope you try it. Directions If you are. Smear a thin layer of Vaseline over where your pimples or acne are leave it on there for the night I recomend you tye your hair back for the night so nothing sticks. And when you wake up in the morning get a wet cold cloth not a hot cloth a COLD cloth and just gently remove and wash away the remaining Vaseline. Once you've don't that your pimples should have gone down :) I use Vaseline everynight

It really helped.
For me personally I used this a lot when my skin is dry or have acne. I put this on my face over night and wake up with soft glowy skin and my pimple shrinks, redness goes down and dark scars starts to disappear. It works wonder! I love it. It may be sticky but that doesn't bother me.

Doctor's advice...
After hearing a doctor's advice that Vaseline was brilliant treating scars, I decided to try and apply Vaseline topically on my pimples and acne scars. The results were good and I could tell the effect was good on the skin.

Pros:

Moisturized skin
reduced redness & peeling
improved skin after "drying" acne treatments & winter skin
lessed acne aggrivated by skin flakes
cheap
anti-aging
great for chapped lips & eyelashes
over expensive creams, this is used by many celebrities with beautiful skin

Cons:

thick
heavy
greasy
messy/spreadable
seems to "sit" on skin

I have acne due to very dry skin (esp. in winter) and PCOS related hormonal imbalances. Acne washes & creams dry acne, but also overdried my skin. Skin flakes were making my acne worse. This product worked very well to remedy my dried skin, & I have not had an issue with it clogging my pores. Other moisturizers produced a rash & allergic reaction, or simply did not work. It is best used after washing my face & slept in, sometimes paired with pure olive oil . FYI Tyra Banks & Marylin Monroe use/d this for their skin as well.

Pros:

+ great moisturizer for flaky dry skin
+ soothes red burning skin

Cons:

- seems to sit on skin
- doesn't soak into skin

Occasionally I get super red flaky skin on the skin under my eyes. I use Vaseline on my dry skin overnight and by morning it's literally gone! I use this regularly during winter too to prevent more dry skin. It's inexpensive and I love it.

Pros:

Made redness go away.
Made eyelashes longer,
Made lips less chapped.

Cons:

If I put it on all of my skin gave me pimples. Can cause pimples if not used the right way

Okay people only dry skinned peeps can put this on all of their faces, Teens like me cant. Just put it on red pimples and only on the pimple or you will get more. Put it on lips and after ten minutes wipe with wash cloth slowly and put on eyelashes for longer eyelashes. I know this is a acne website but I needed to do that. If you get it on your acne free parts WARNING: WASH IT OFF put it on crusty or red or cyst pimples four because it broke me out when I put it on wrong

Dry, damaged skin
Allows me to protect my skin from the elements and prevent it from losing moisture, which most acne treatments really sap your skin of! Vaseline helps prevent the acne I get caused by dry skin. I really load up on it in the winter, applying it after my aveeno daily moisturizing lotion. I detracted one star because it can be really tricky to use under makeup. I recommend a primer and a mattifying foundation. Even then, it tends to get greasy and doesn't have the same coverage. I'll deal for how good this is at preventing dry skin and breakouts. It's also cheap and easily available.

Pros:

Moisturizes quickly
Leaves necessary oils on face
Great if you have a dry face from using things like acne gels, etc.

Cons:

can be a little too greasy sometimes, especially if you have a really oily face

Works well as a moisturizer (it's been said that Marilyn Monroe actually smeared vaseline all over her face when getting ready in the morning), however can cause breakouts if you tend to have very oily skin, but overall is great if you need a quick fix for extremely dry skin
