Pros:

Feels clean.

Cons:

My face has broken out very badly for the first time in months since I started using this product. Dry skin and peeling, which I haven't had this badly using any other BP product.

I'm definitely going to keep using it and hope that my skin starts to react better to the gel. I've only been using it for a few days and I'm hoping that this is my skin getting used to the product or purging. Just stopped using Benzaclin and started Persa-Gel. I would definitely give the product a try and stick with it for a few months before making any final decisions.

Pros:

Quick and easy to use. Just dab some on at night and you're ready to go in the morning! This stuff really works if you're skin can handle it.

Cons:

Tends to dry out skin if you use to much and can leave a layer of white residue if you use to much.

This gel is more like a cream in my opinion and it works realllly well. If you use a small amount after washing your face in the morning you'll notice results by the end of the day. At night, wash your face again and add a little more cream and you're skin will be so much clearer by morning. I lovee lovee lovee this stuff! Its well worth the money!

Pros:

I promise you, if your skin can tolerate it, there is nothing more effective for fighting mild/moderate acne than this gel.

Cons:

It can dry out your skin and leave a white film if you apply too much. Start off with a low dosage. Use more at night when you are in private.

I have been to 2 dermatologists, and have been prescribed Duac, Retin-A, Differin, Doxycycline, exfoliators, etc, all for extended periods of time. Every time I was unsatisfied. For 2 years I have been struggling with acne, often embarrassed enough to stay in weekends when it got really bad. This stuff saved me.

Pros:

It clears up acne so quickly!

Cons:

It can dry skin, and you have to be really religious with this product.

I used this product for about two days and immediately I saw results. I was very satisfied and my skin was really clear. I was confident enough to start taking pictures of myself and go out more -- I wasn't so insecure. The only problem I had was how often you have to use it and you have to be really dedicated to it. Not using it for just a day can cause a lot of problems. The dry skin really wasn't a problem; oil-free moisturizers are a good troubleshooter.

Pros:

gets rid of zits SO QUICKLY. for those big, annoying ones: sometimes overnight!

Cons:

drying and irritating to the skin

It works really well to zap away pimples, but does make your skin dry, flaky, peely, etc. But anything with BP does that.

Pros:

Kills off nasty pustules and red spots. Dries out oil from the skin. Makes skin feel cleaner.

Cons:

Redness, Flakiness.

The side effects of the gel are preferable by far to the acne that it treats and can be managed with a moisturizer. For me, this 10% Benzoyl Peroxide gel is significantly more effective than the 2.5% concentration. It varies from person to person however and skin sensitivity must be taken into account. This gel cleared stubborn acne that I had for years. In the past, shaving has triggered my acne, so I use OXY shaving cream, which contains 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide.
