Pros:

WORKS WONDERS, great skin, control over my period, got rid of acne withing two months

Cons:

Spotting for two months straight

This is a great little pill. My skin decided to Freak out over the summer and after 2-3 months of taking this pill I was totally clear.I was also taking 100mg of Minocycline and using epiduo (epiduo is expensive but is just the combination of Benzoyl peroxide and Adapalene)

Pros:

kept break outs to very minimum

Cons:

-i was on yaz for 2 years,,then i stopped taking it because i couldnt afford it, now my face is covered in cysts that will not go away!! ive never had this in my life, my dermatologist says this is common with yaz and yasmin .. ive never been more depressed and embarassed in my entire life my face is ruined. im a crater face now. ;/ i guess im goin to have to try accutane soon.

ive been back on it for a week now after 5 months of not being on it.. im trying anything to get my face back to normal!! but what does this mean i have to be on yaz for the rest of my life ??! this sucks.. it is this only pill that cleared up my face so i guess i recommend it for acne?

Pros:

keeps my acne at bay (only few pimples during that "time of the month"), boobs increased from small B to full C cup, no cramps, light 4-day regular periods, no more bloating/water retention, no pregnancies

Cons:

no cons for me, but each person's body will react differently to various birth control pills

Yaz for me has been wonderful. I was on Ortho-tri-cyclen-lo for 3 years before switching to yaz. Ortho was suggested to me for the low dose hormone and promising decreased acne (it helped somewhat-still had to go to a dermo for perscription acne topicals) but Yaz has helped with my acne far better and I no longer have the cramps and water retention I had on ortho. An added plus is that I no longer need to see a dermo for harsh topicals. Since I still fear my acne returning and feel I need some type of treatment for the few pimples I do get, Proactiv is working good for me.

Pros:

Improved skin; weight loss; shorter periods; bigger bOObs :)

Cons:

None so far

Every woman is different, so results vary. I was previously on ortho-lo for five years and switched to yaz a few months ago. My boobs grew, I lost weight (from the lower hormones), and my skin - although not clear - has definitely improved and is continuing to do so (2 months in). Shorter periods too. I know women who have been on it (or yasmin) for years without any problems and women who have tried it and decided it wasn't for them. As for me, I'll continue using yaz for now. Like ortho - ordering through my health insurance makes it only $20 a month, and that works for me!

Pros:

Works very accurately, periods are very short, not pregnant, very easy to use/remember to take, NEVER makes me gain weight, clear skin

Cons:

Breast swelling

I have used YAZ for almost 6 years. I have been placed on it just to control my bleeding during my periods. I have never had an issue. I have not gained weight, my periods are 2-3 days long, I never have any serious mood swings (normal ones, just because men drive us crazy), it is very affordable and I have never once had an issue with it NOT working (no pregnancy scares at all). My periods are lighter and very workable, my cramps have diminished too. No bad things to say about YAZ

Pros:

NOTHING has cleared my skin up like this! I no longer had oily skin after being on Yaz for a little over a month. My moderate cystic acne cleared up.

Cons:

I did notice a little weight gain but I cannot be positive it was the Yaz.

I made the mistake of letting my prescription run out because Ididn't have time to get back to the dr. My horrible acne came back! I hadn't had huge cysts since I had been on Yaz! I am getting back on it asap!

Pros:

prevents from pregnancy, didn't make my acne worse, reduces cramping.

Cons:

Four out of the seven months I've been on this pill I've had my period for 2 weeks. I am extremely good at taking the pill at the same time each day, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. It didn't clear my acne either so now I'm back on acc.

I'm getting off it now because I can't take having my period for 2 weeks. It's depressing.

Pros:

My boyfriend noticed that my boobs were bit bigger. Lighter perios.

Cons:

My acne remained the same, it didnt get any better or worse. I still experienced new breakouts, which I thought yaz was going to get rid og.

It doesnt work as well as Ortho-Tri, but I was WAY TOO emotional when I used Ortho-Tri. Yaz didnt make me emotional, it kind of helped with the acne, but not as much as Ortho-Tri. One huge pro was that it made me have a slightly bigger bust... but that was it.

Pros:

Tapered the belly button hair growth I got from Alesse, short, predictable periods, no acne problems.

Cons:

I was an emotional mess, depressed, crying, and angry all the time. I had NO sex drive and was dry all the time. 4 months after I got off of it, I started breaking out with little white bumps all over my face, which later progressed to cystic acne.

Works great for some people, but NOT for me. My face is now disgusting and I used to have beautiful skin.
