Pros:

*FOR ME*...NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS WHEN IT COMES TO ACNE! except it prevents pregnancy.

Cons:

made me break out worse than ever before in my life. I gained about 10 pounds in water weight the first 2 weeks. I was really emotional and moody and the weight and brake outs didnt help that AT ALL.

I will never take yaz ever again. Personally my body reacted very negatively to it. it definitely messed with my hormone levels and broke out in my hormonal section of my face worse than ever before. I gained about 10 pounds in water weight the first 2 weeks. I was moody and depressed and ive been off it for a little while now and am still in the process of healing my skin. and still getting brake outs but nothing like when i was taking it. I am now on cephalexin(antibiotic) and going to start spiro in the next couple days b/c im still getting hormonal brake outs and spiro should regulate and balance out my hormones so im counting on this one! I am also going to a tanning salon which is helping dry them out and getting regular facials and peels but this pill definitely sparked something and i had a reaction and its a battle trying to get my skin back to normal. if you have regular hormonal break outs like me yaz could make it worse. but everyones body reacts differently.

Pros:

none

Cons:

It did nothing except make me miserable, I seriously had to stop after about 2 weeks. I could start crying at any given time, it's just not worth being depressed and having bad skin.

It's unfortunate that pimples and acne can really put a damper on one's life. I've only had this problem for the last couple of years, from having completely perfect skin. I feel for everyone who's going through it and I wish there was a perfect solution. Bottom line, it may not work for me, but it might work for someone else. All you can do is try.

Pros:

NONE..BIRTH CONTROL PILL FROM HELL

Cons:

MADE ME NAUSEOUS AND COLLAPSE

I AM A COLLEGE STUDENT. I WAS TAKING THIS PILL FOR 4 DAYS ON THE FOURTH DAY I ALMOST COLLAPSED WHILE STANDING IN CLASS. MIND YOU I DONT SMOKE, DRINK OR TAKE ANY OTHER MEDICATION. PRIOR TO THIS i STARTED CRYING RANDOMLY AND FEELING LIKE I WANTED TO GAG. SIPPED ON SOME WATER AND COULDN'T EVEN KEEP IT DOWN. I STOPPED TAKING THE PILLS RIGHT AWAY AS THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE! BEWARE! I UNDERSTAND EVERY FEMALE IS NOT THE SAME BUT ANY PILL THAT IS MESSING WITH YOUR BODY CAN DO LONG TERM DAMAGE. IF U ARE CONSIDERING TAKING THIS PILLS PLEASE DO UR RESEARCH AND CONSIDER OTHER PILL/METHODS OF BC...GOOD LUCK!

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Depression, mood swings, crying, sudden bursts anger, no sex drive.
2-3 months after I got off of it, I started breaking out with small white bumps ALL over my face. Some turned into pimples others have just stayed for 6+ months of being off.

Don't use it. I never had serious skin problems before this medication. Not only did it make me crazy for the 2 months I was on it, I now have serious acne on my face, jawline, shoulders, and right along my spinal cord down my back. Worst medicine I have ever taken. Biggest regret of my life.

Pros:

none

Cons:

- it gave me severe acne all over my face
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Expensive
- made my boobs huge

I went on yaz primarily for my acne. I was told by my doctor to wait three months before seeing results. During those three months my skin got progressively worse, it never got better. My skin has never looked so bad. I have red scarring all over my chin and cheeks. I am very upset because before going on yaz my skin was clear... i would only get a few pimples around the time of my period.I would not recommend yaz to anyone.

Pros:

Regulated my cycles & much less painful periods, didn't get pregnant, no change in appetite no weight gain. Made my skin a lot less oily.

Cons:

Really messed with my emotions! I felt depressed while taking this pill, which I have never experienced before. I decided to try Yaz because of it's skin clearning benefits for my mild acne. Instead, my skin broke out terribly for the 3 months that I took it & I had to quit.

I took Yaz for the recommended three months, but I didn't see any improvement in my skin, it appeared to get much worse over time, and it was not worth the crazy emotions it was putting me through. However, I know a lot of women have luck with this pill and it did a good enough job of regulating my periods, so I would still recommend trying it.

Pros:

Shorter period
No weight gain
No moodiness

Cons:

Made me break out A LOT more than usual
The progesterone component of this pill (and Yasmin) has a higher risk of causing blood clots and liver problems, etc. than other pills
After about 3 months I started feeling sick every time I would take the pill

Yaz was okay for birth control and PMS for me... other than that it was a pain in the butt. It made my acne a lot worse than it was! Here's a tip for everyone starting on this pill... if your acne actually seems to get better when your on your period. Then this pill isn't working for you. Plus the adverse effects are just nasty, I was reading about many women who had to be sent to the hospital with pulmonary embolisms, and blood clots or who's liver was damaged, and they had been on other birth control pills that had not caused those things. Thats just scary! Everyone's body is different, Yaz apparently just hated my face :( Hopefully it works better for others!
