Pros:

short periods, hmm thats about it

Cons:

didn't clear acne. hair loss (yes I said hair loss!)

Taking this pill is not worth it. I have taken it for 4 months and it has not taken care of my acne. It reduced it some, but I am not willing to use it any longer since I am losing tons of hair in the shower everyday. Girls out there - Beware - hair loss is a common side effect that they don't talk about much...

Pros:

light periods
no cramps
consistent periods
breasts are more firm

Cons:

occasional breakouts during periods

does what's it's suppose to, but I don't know about the acne management. I had acne before the pill and thought I might give it a try. Yaz did little to no difference with my acne, but I thought i be on it anyhow to practice safe sex. I am going on YASMIN next month. It's has a little bit more estrogen than Yaz and is suppose to help with acne, so hopefully this goes well.

Pros:

Lost a few pounds; that's about it.

Cons:

Depression & irritability. Sleeplessness--always tired. Did nothing to improve my menstrual symptoms. No improvement on acne.

Different people react to different medications. My best friend is on this, and loves Yaz. For me, there was nothing good except I lost a few pounds. I felt low throughout the month, and always tired. I couldn't sleep. I was also irritable. Isn't this what Yaz is supposed to prevent? The lack of sleep was the worst of it. I wonder how many women have this as a side effect and don't realize it's from the birth control. I had the same problem with Yasmin. To top it off, it didn't calm down my period or improve my acne! I expected to at least have that covered with this stuff. Nonetheless, birth control is odd; you literally have to try it to test if it's for you. It's just not for me! If birth control just doesn't settle well with you, don't be surprised if Yaz isn't any better. I think it was the worst of any I've tried.

Pros:

NONE

Cons:

Everything!! DO NOT TAKE THIS PILL!!! Oh my, I am horrible with this medication. I have only been on it a few months, but I will not take it any longer. Will be going back to my old pill. Constant crying, not myself, blurry vision, lack of hunger.

Almost lost my boyfriend, the very reason to be ON BIRTH CONTROL!! This pill does the exact opposite of what it claims to cure. I have been horrible since I started it. Take my advice and choose another pill. I am calling my doctor today and getting something diffrent.

Pros:

None that I know of

Cons:

mysterious leg pain a week into taking it

I bought into the stupid ad's and switched from Yasmin to Yaz to see if if would really help my mood etc. A week into taking it I got a mysterious pain throughout my left leg. This could have been the very beginning of a clot. I'm a healthy 24 year old non-smoker with no history of anything like that - i went off it immediately and the pain went away within a few days.

Pros:

none that I can think of

Cons:

Irritability, low libido, cramps, nausea, spotting 3rd week before period to begin, fatigue etc etc etc

This didn't work for me, I actually had a sex drive after the baby was born, this killed it...I am currently on Alesse - which is not really any better...(doctor gave full "samples" of both Yaz & Alesse so it didn't cost a thing yet...)

Pros:

i took yazmin and it cleared my skin beautifully. it was as clear as a photo shopped picture.

Cons:

extremely high appetite. weight gain. severe emotional side effects including depression, anxiety and anger. ruined relationships. wished for death regularly (and my life isnt that bad!!)it was terrible..oh my god terrible

i took yazmin tho-not yaz. i wanted to say majority of people who come on these blog sites is to talk about bad experiences. very seldom do happy customers think to come to these sites. everyones body is differnt--so try things out--never assume your body works the same way. and the cons will always outweigh the pros on these blog sites. yazmin was terrible for me--but has worked wonderfully for many others. at least i got clear skin outa the deal!
