Pros:

contraceptive, clear and less oily skin, reduced cysts on overies

Cons:

slight mood irritability, slight weight gain mostly due to water retention, tender breasts

In the broader spectrum, this is a very good pill in comparison to the other contraceptives on the shelf. I have not yet developed signs of jaundice where with my previous pills I developed severe jaundice. I have cysts on my ovaries, which have already reduced in size and soon they will be non-existent. my skin has completely cleared up!! iv picked up a little weight, but thats my fault, the continuous chocolate cravings sometimes out rules my controlling spirit... but if you control what you eat, little to know weight gain will be experienced.

Pros:

Very effective control of acne, no more cramps during my period, regular "periods", higher self-esteem because of clear skin

Cons:

Nauseous, moody, weight gain

The first two months of taking Diane 35 I was very very nauseous but stuck through it because my skin was really affecting my self-esteem. It was hard to look people in the eye because I felt like my skin was so horrible. I just entered university and I was breaking out like crazy! I got on the pill and was determined to stick through it. I endured sprawling on the bathroom floor next to the toilet waiting to puke during those first two months (this intense nausea happened about 4-5 times during my first two months). But after that I only got stomache aches when I took a pill without food. My skin got SO much better, it got SO clear and it was unbelievable because I thought that I would never be able to go back to clear skin after breaking out. BUT I found that my calves for some reason are so much chunkier, I've been upset more then I've ever been in my life and I feel bad that I am abusing my body just for my skin. I am trying to get off of it soon.. but it really does work for skin.

Pros:

shorter and lighter periods, my skin is less oily.

Cons:

I have some hair loss that is worring me.

I think Diane is a good medication for people that don't develop side effects, I haven't developed much of them (only the hair loss). I have tried other bc pills and this one really works for me. I haven't gained weight.

Pros:

It cleared up my skin and decreased the amount of oil in about a month of taking it. My periods aren't as heavy and are always on schedule.

Cons:

I workout 3-4 times a week and eat healthy but I have gained weight in my hips with 2 months of taking Diane. In addition, my breasts have grown considerably.

I'd rather have some acne than be 10lbs fatter and have over-sized breasts. So not worth it!

Pros:

Works well as a birth control pill.
Cleared up my face more than anything else I tried, although still got breakouts, just not as bad and not as often.

Cons:

Excessive weight gain... I lost 30 pounds before going on the Dianne 35 when I was 18, and after I got on it, I gained the 30 back, plus another 30. Even with plenty of exercise and healthy diet, it is very hard for me to lose the weight while on it

Worked okay for my face, didn't clear everything up, but it was not worth it for the weight gain. I didn't have to pay anything because I have a health plan that covered it, but if I did have to pay, $50 is not worth it, especially if you're just going to gain weight!

Pros:

headaches (in the beggining), hairloss

Cons:

beautiful skin

If you major concern is acne (mine was not severe, it was medium) then it might be a good idea to start on Diane 35. You have to use it for more than six months to see results. But once you stop using it, the acne comes back only two months after you stopped. The hairloss was not good. I had a beautiful waivy strong hair and now it's less full and straight. But my skin? Gorgeous!! Therefore I recommend it only as a acne treatment, not as a birth control pill.

Pros:

Skin was great! Periods were very regular and experienced less cramping.

Cons:

Weight gain, no sex drive, moody.

For those of you who have gone off of Diane 35, how long did it take for you to get your period naturally?? I have heard of women being 'late'. Were you late, and if so, how long??? I just went off Diane 35 and I am 2 weeks late now. I am just wondering if this is normal and how long some other women had to wait. Thanks to anyone that can help me!!

i was on Diane for 7 months. As soon as i started taking it i instantly noticed a diference in my skin. No more pimples. ive had bad acne ever since i was 14 and now im 21 and nothing else has worked. If only this was the case. Nearly every day of taking the pill i was nauseas and just felt ill all over. I didnt think it was the pill but as soon as i got of it, the sickness stopped. Straight away ive had very irreguler periods. Its all messed up and all over the place. Oh and the pimples are back!! I recommend not to use this pill as it will onnly make u worse in the long run.

Pros:

No period pain, lighter periods, clear skin, regular cycle, bigger breasts

Cons:

extreme anxiety, depression, extreme hair loss, suicidal thoughts, low energy, mood swings, weight gain -approx six kilos -mostly around mid-section, expensive

I initially went on diane35 for severe period pain which was so severe I'd lose all feeling in my legs and become delirious. I also struggled with acne, having tried every over the counter product, as well as natural remedies and therapies such as homeopathic treatments and chinese medicine. I have been on this pill for 2 years, my period pain and acne were gone after finishing the first pack. However I finally realised that it is this pill that has given me extreme anxiety, depression and hair loss. Worse than this are the suicidal thoughts. For so long I thought I was losing my mind due to family issues, but i now know for certain it's due to diane35. I'm really annoyed it has taken me 2 years to finally work this out, but i'm glad I know now. After doing all my research on the internet I can't believe it's still allowed to be prescribed in Australia or anywhere else for that matter. for anyone thinking of taking diane35 -DON'T. Do your research first. You will be shocked at the SEs
