Pros:

great skin, lighter periods

Cons:

weight gain , tiredness (therefore less sex)

i was prescribed diane35 for my skin (and as a contraceptive). in the 6 months i've been using it, my skin has been great, so to that effect it works terrifically well. however, i have been extremely tired (but its difficult to determine if this is lifestyle related), therefore there's not a lot of horizontal folk dancing going on, and my bum is huge! i can't fit into any of my skinny jeans that i worked so hard to fit into in the first place. even when i weighed more my bum was still smaller, so i have to put it down to diane35 (or the fact i am getting older?) I am also worried what might happen if i go off it.

Pros:

Good method of Birth Control, Clears skin, Weight Loss

Cons:

Been on this for 4 years and just recently been having many yeast infections about one a month

Works very well for birth control. Does clear skin to a degree, but i still get a couple pimples here and there. But I think that is hormonal, Usually only around my period

Pros:

awesome acne drug

Cons:

it is expensive and there is a health advisory warning about this drug.

this was the best acne pill i have used out there. i used to it for my skin and i was on it for about 1 year. i noticed a huge improvement in my skin a couple of days after i started using the pill. however, my doctor advised me not to take the pill anymore because of health warnings. i was on alesse for about one year but i found that it had no effect on my skin.

Pros:

confidence

Cons:

food cravings, deeper acne

i just started my second pack. I feel that my acne have become deeper because diane is starting to work. before they were just simple little ones dissappearing as often as appearing. Now they stay longer, but it almost feels like one pimple now is worth many tiny ones and it is sucking all the infection from the area around it on its own. I am a dancer and weight gain is not a possibility for me, but I do get very intense food cravings now. I am used to eat what I like and not have any weight changes, but now I am a little worried as I crave a lot of sweets... my boobs increased in size, but I don't know if that's a pro - I didn't want that really. hopefuly my skin clears up. I do believe that it will. most of my friends are on diane. so I try not to stress about eating sugar and not covering my face with benzoyl peroxide every night

Pros:

bigger boobs, regular periods

Cons:

didn't do much for skin, put on weight

I have been on this drug for 5 months, and my skin hasn't cleared. i wouldn't recommend it especially because i have read so many entries that say it can cause infertility plus the fact its banned in the us. I dont know it just sounds unsafe

Pros:

during usage - minimum pain during that time of the month

Cons:

post usage - constant stomach pain, extreme acne outbreaks

i am engaged to a wonder man who just simple wants me to have the best in life, and after i told him what the side-effects of taking this pill was, we immediately decided that abstinance was the answer. It stopped my acne outbreaks for about 3 months and after that, i experiened ance outbreaks everyday since. I am now using a treatment - clear.now, which is the only treatment that has proven effective. hope you guys the best and be safe

Looking to forward to trying this out. Diane 35
OK so I haven't tried this yet, but I'm currently on 50 MG of spiro, depo provera and estrofem 1mg. OK here's the thing: Hormones circulate through our blood. So once you stop taking an synethic hormone your body is going to whack. I think if you just detox your body (blood) this would help you a lot in cleansing out the hormones. Even just in general. Also, Im assuming that this bc doesn't contain a progestin? I'm currently on depo provera so that I can take some form of estrogen. I live in the US so I'll have to get it some other way. I was going to get a packet of EE, stay on spiro and depo. But I think Ill switch Spiro for Diane 35 so I'll have the EE and a different form of anti androgen. f.y.I I've read that if you have too much estrogen it can turn to testosterone? This is from a forum: However, if you are not on androgen blockers and start to put oestrogen into your system your body may respond by producing more testosterone.   The higher the E possibly more response to produce T.   Some clinics and some professional are in a habit of reporting information in an inaccurate way to 'receive' your attention. I'll post an update once I start taking it. Wish me luck.
