Pros:

Less oily skin and hair withing 1 month, cleared acne within 2 - 3 months. Increased breast size slightly (though I started using it at 17 yrs so breast increase may have been a natural occurance at that age). No real weight gain, no mood swings.

Cons:

Frequent Spotting mid month, more of a hassle than anything. Other than that, no other cons.

Used it since I was 17 (now 25). Have switched to Nuvaring for 8 months and saw increased acne within the first two months. Switched back to Diane and skin cleared immediately. Tried Alesse recently for 2 months, got acne immediately and some weight gain. Just started back on Diane again, skin is already clearing some. The spotting is something I'm willing to deal with as long as I don't have to deal with acne. Have done research on the added stroke/clot risk however do not feel that I'm high risk (non smoker, exercise, good diet) so I'm going to continue using Diane. May try Yasmine in the future however everytime I try a new pill, I get acne again and have to hide behind makeup for a couple of months. Much happier on Diane. But again, it works differently for everyone, luckily it works for me. Is expensive so price below is what I pay for 3 months when covered by my health plan.

Pros:

Clear skin

Cons:

when you quit taking it the acne starts again

I have never had acne as a teenager but it hit me hard at about 22. I had a very long fight with acne using everything available from antibiotics to diet and alternative medicine. Nothing worked. I tried Diane for 8 months and it worked great. Totally cleared my skin. Then I quit and guess what? 4 months later I start getting them again. I do not know what to do? It is so embarassing to have acne and scars all over your face but I do not want to stay on it forever? My doctor told me that if I do another 8 months that maybe enough, but who knows. Though I should say that I did not have many side effects while taking Diane, no gain loss no mood swings, my sex drive did go down a little bit, and my breast did not increase at all, I wish it would.

Pros:

My periods are like clockwork now.
The acne has decreased significantly.

Cons:

I take Diane 35 with another medication called androcur which both have to be taken at specific times of your cycle which can be confusing at time.

I like the treatment, very effective.

Pros:

Had no cystic acne.

Cons:

Continued to get zits, zero sex-drive, severe depression.

It was free because it's covered under my extended medical as an acne medication. I took it for three months and during that time my sex drive fell so low that I didn't want to be touched at all or even kissed. Right after I stopped taking it the PMS was so bad I had to sit in the back room at work and cry for no reason at all. The depression was pretty horrible and I am still suffering the effects. This medication is very androgen-inhibiting and will likely make you fatter, get bigger boobs and have no sex drive. It may help your face but are the side effects worth it? Definately not for me!

Pros:

it cleared up my skin considerably, increased breast size, had no period pain

Cons:

Made me severely depressed, moody, cry all the time; i lost my libido, and had suicidal thoughts frequently/ You also need to be on it all the time as the Acne comes back so much worse after going off pill. Also gained weight

i have suffered severe acne (cystic) for more than 12 years. Went on Diane 35 for 3 years and found that, while it worked very well on my skin, the side effects made it very difficult staying on it long term. My constant bleak outlook on life and extreme depression plus loss of libido made me realise it was not worth it for gaining clear skin. It got to the point where it wa slike those tablets took over my life and made me into an emotional mess. Only realised it was all because of diane 35 when i looked up the side effects one morning 2 months ago. Stopped the tablets there and then and havent looked back since. Have broken out worse than ever but have managed to keep things in control by adjusting my diet and ridding junk food/sugary food consumption. My mental state is heaps better and i am slowly getting back in control of my emotions. Suicidal thoughts with a clear complexion or cheerful old me with my cystic acne? Give me happiness anyday :)

Pros:

Porcelain skin, bigger breasts

Cons:

Quite expensive; if you want to stay beautiful forever, you have to take this pill until the day you die. Once youe get off Diane 35, your acne will be much worse than before you started taking it.

Beauty has its risks and price. If you want to feel confident, enjoy life and look fabulous, stick with Diane35 for all eternity.

Pros:

Cleard my skin completely in the first 2 months of use. Bigger rounder breasts are a plus.

Cons:

Increased anxiety, mood swings and a littl depression. also a slight dizzy feeling

Ive had moderate acne bothering me for the last 9 years and none of the topical creams or clensers i tied really worked. After 2 months on Diane i feel much prettyer when i look in the mirror because my skin is the best its been in years, plus my breats are bigger! but... i have definatly noticed an inability in controling my emotions. Havent really felt happy or enegertic since taking it. and the more i read about its side effects and dangers on the internet the less i want to continue, im thinking of stopping and changing to minocycline or another treatment.
