Pros:

contraception, it's curing my acne, body hair grows very very slow, my hair is less greasy and doesn't fall anymore

Cons:

none!

I'm 26 and my acne is hormonal, I've always had a pimple here and there, but developed a cystic acne in the last year or so. After trying beauticians, chinese herbal medicine and cosmetics without success, I went to a dermatologist and gynaecologist, did blood tests, unltrasound, nothing major was found so I ended up with Diane 35. I've been using it for 5 months now. The first 3 months I was also taking antibiotics, which I regret, cause there was no effect at all. Actually my skin got worse, I guess the underlaying cysts were pushed to come to the surface. During the forth month there wasn't much of an improvement, but during the fifth month I saw changes literally every single day. I don't have painful cysts anymore, some are totally cured, others are currently curing but on the surface. Occasionally I get new pimples, but they are all small and don't last. I'm planning to take it for 6 more months and then stop it and try to have a baby, but I'm afraid of the bad acne coming bac

Pros:

I went off Diane 35 in December because of bad headaches that pain relievers wouldn't help.

Cons:

Amazing skin for the first time ever. Little or no facial acne, no backne, nothing... and fabulous for oily skin which I despise!

I'm going back on it, at least for the summer. I'm covered in pimples on my back and chest, less on my face, which I am grateful for, but the oilyness is horrible... I use tons of the oil blotting sheets every day and have spent hundreds of dollars on over the counter crap that just DOES NOT WORK. These companies take advantage of our desperation. I'll accept the headaches to not have to hide all summer!

Pros:

Clear skin, fuller breast, thinner hair, *weight gain-- I could use it since I am so skinny*

Cons:

Mood Swings, but nothing drastic

Since, I suffer from PCOS and some horrible symptoms associated with it such as acne, and excess hair. I have used this for 8 mnths now and I must say it does wonder. Prior to being diagnosed with the disease I tried everything such as proactive, murad until I was told it was due to PCOS and nothing seemed to work. This pill is definitely worth the try. I was apprehensive about going on this pill because there are definitely side affects associated with it. Make sure you do research before taking this pill and see if you want to give it a try. Luckily, so far I have been spared of the cons and just had good experience with the pill.

Pros:

Clears skin up excellently, regulates periods and PMS, as well as blood flow. Big difference in body hair which is thinner and lighter on Diane.

Cons:

Water retention, weight gain, very swollen and enlargede breasts. Possible complications with smoking.

Use it for effective clear up but do not stay on it for long. Use it only if weight gain and breasts swelling does not concern you.

Pros:

Clear Skin, Dryer skin and hair.

Cons:

Anxiety, Mood Swings, Vaginal Dryness, Low Libido

For the first 8-10 months or so that I was taking Diane 35 everything was perfect. It regulated my acne and dcaused significant drying in my hair and skin (as it was severly oily prior to starting Diane). Now, about 14 months in, I have perfectly clear skin, but my hair is unbelievably dry (I'm talking I could not wash it for weeks and it wouldn't be greasy) and flaky skin. However, my skin is not the only thing drying out as my boyfriend and I have discovered extreme vaginal dryness. I am about negative 100 on the libido scale, which is frustrating as I am still very young. Also, I find that I have mood swings, from being very happy and personable to being very easily aggrivated or saddened and reclusive. This is very unlike me as I am usually very extroverted. I have an appointment this week to discuss other birth control options. REMEMBER- You are supposed to change BCP 3-4 months after your acne clears up when using Diane35. I should probably have taken my own advice!

Pros:

Birth Control, Bigger fuller breasts (from AA to C) and wider hips, Less unwanted body hair (slower growth), 99% clearer smoother skin, lowered sex drive ( this is great news for me) and can choose whether or not I want a period.

Cons:

First month came with slight nausea, temporary water retention and the occasional pimple.

Great for birth control, severe acne and excessive hair growth. My brother took Acutane for his morbidly severe acne/bacne and got depressed, lethargic, dry and couldn't drink alcohol because of the burden Acutane put on him. I decided to go with a more moderate for of acne treatment. Turns out I had a hormonal imbalance (which inherently made me a very masculine girl) and that Diane 35, which triple as a birth control pill and hair growth treatment could regulate it. I've been on it for 5 years and I feel like a woman with the loss of body hair, larger breasts and hips and clear skin ans back. Finally can wear a bathing suit without feeling like I shouldn't :D Finally, I did experience a major loss of sex drive. For most, I think this is undesirable, but I was worst than a teenage boy! I affected my relationship with my bf could could barely keep up... now we are at the same level and sex has stopped being a source of disagreement :)

Pros:

less oily skin, improvement on the skin, less acne compared to 2 months ago, regular periods

Cons:

having the hunger all the time, constantly eating.

I've had bad acne for 8-9 years. (21 now) I've tried a wellknown pill for 6 months when i was 16, at first it worked, but after 1.5 years acne came back. before taking all the acne treatment, i suggest you to have your hormons tested. they are the biggest problem and no medicine for acne works. thanks to diane, i started to have a better skin, and regular periods, and of course higher self esteem.
