Pros:

Since switching to Yasmin from Dianette, I have felt happier and less depressed. Yasmin makes me feel good, made me lose weight and has increased my sex drive!

Cons:

If you take 2 Packs in a row, I get spotting into the 2nd week of the new pack :(

It makes me feel good, Dianette made me very depressed and I am so happy I switched to Yasmin. It keeps my skin clear too, althought Accutane probably did that! But it does keep my hormone levels calm as I don't get as moody as I used to before I took Yasmin.

Cons:

Minor acne, Minor mood swings

This pill has been wonderful. In the begining there was some minor acne but that all cleared up (after two months) I am a little more emotional but im an emotional kind of person so what can i say...

Pros:

lighter period and always on time, milder menstrual cramps

Cons:

less sex drive, decreased ability to clear infection?

Great for menstrual cycle associated problems. Don't know for sure if this is due to yasmin, but for the first time in my life I had a viral infection I could not clear for 2 weeks.

Pros:

Lighter periods, breast tenderness is gone, predictable periods, less pain during period, not pregnant

Cons:

None really...it has worked very well for me.

Yasmin is the third pill i have tried i have been on it now for 9 months. The previous two pills that i tried were microgram and cilest both of which give me breast tenderness. Yasmin so far has been great. I have not put on any weight, however my boobs may have got bigger but this is to be expected with every pill. I think every pill that you are on will increase your appetite and this is something that should be controlled.

Pros:

No weight gain, not pregnant, controlled acne (didn't even get breakouts before period), firmer breasts, no side effects

Cons:

None

This is the first time I use birth control and I was worried about the weight gain. My doctor told me that the pill does not cause weight gain rather it MIGHT stimulate the appetite. So if you over eat you will gain weight if your able to control your cravings then you won't. He also added that people use it as an excuse. For me, it had no effect on my appetite, so I have maintained and even lost a few pounds while on it.That being said, I had no negative side effects on Yasmin. Works great!! I would recommend this pill, however, everyone's body is different.

Pros:

acne clearing up, no mood swings, no blood spotting between periods.

Cons:

Gained a bit of weight.....

I have been on Yasmin for a few months now and my skin has turned out really well. I only went on the pill to help regulate my period and it does a really good job at that plus it basically cut the days in half!! The only down side is I have noticed I have been gaining a bit of weight around the stomach area. Overall the pill has worked really well for me and the weight gain (while I'm not thrilled about) is something that I can deal with because the pros out weigh the cons!!!

Pros:

Controlled breakouts, doesn't make me feel sick like dianette

Cons:

None!

i have had acne for about 2 years and it just kept getting worse, so my doctor finally prescribed me Dianette. After about a month of taking this i kept being sick all the time but i carried on taking it because i was so down about my skin. But after 4 months with no acne improvement whatsoever i went back to my doctor. She said dianette is a very very strong pill and shouldn't be taken for prolonged periods of time and this was what was making me feel ill! So she put me on yasmin and before i even finished my first pack i have no new painful lumps (i had cystic acne) and im not sick anymore! i would definitely recommend instead of dianette because it actually worked for me!

Pros:

Lighter periods, no out break of spots at all, increase in bust size

Cons:

None so far

First time using a pill for BC other method used was the depot jab which caused a slight weight gain of around 5lbs.I have had no side effects as of yet.

Pros:

very light acne, no bloating, no cramps, very light period

Cons:

felt lazier, increased appetite, moodier during period

Great birth control. Affects everyone differently, worked great on me and I will keep using it. Never was depressed, stressed or gained weight due to Yazmin. Avoid Yaz and off-brand prescriptions that claim to be the same thing. Did that when I couldn't get Yazmin for three months, bad idea.
