Pros:

I really had zero side effects.

Cons:

It may be pretty expensive for some people . Regularly it is $500 but my insurance covered most of it so it was only $11.

I got rid of all my acne except for a ocassional pimple. And it really did help to reduce the oil production in my skin.

Pros:

It works as long as you keep taking it.

Cons:

The price if you don't have decent insurance or the discount cards. Some people complain of dizziness and weakness.

As long as you get the right MG it works. At least it worked for me. I've had acne for over 17 years and this really works for facial acne. I had slight dizziness and weakness when I first started taking it but it didn't effect my workout at all. I've been on the RX for over a year and just got another year RX from the derm. She didn't seemed concerned at all regarding the time I've been on it. No liver problems, no dizziness anymore, and no redness. My derm was kind enough to also give me a handfull of discount cards although I've already paid the $300 deductable for my crappy RX plan. Make sure you try to take it around the same time everyday with at least some water.

Pros:

It cleared the redness of my face within about one week :D At one point i thought nothing was going to work on my face because i tried everything in the stores. Solodyn is amazing, and i recomend it to anybody in their teens.

Cons:

the first few times i used it it made my stomach super sick, still get a few pimples here and there.

if you have really bad acne, this is the stuff for you. It isn't like all of the stuff you buy at the store, it actually works. It gave me my confidence back :)

Pros:

None.

Cons:

Pimples did not improve, side effects were terrible

I took 90 MG for 2.5 weeks. I started to have difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, but I didn't attribute it to the medication at first. I started to get red rashes on my face (my doctor said it wasn't from the medication bc an allergic reaction wouldn't be localized on my face). When I didn't see any improvement, the doctor increased my dosage to 135 mg. I took it for 2 days, and it felt like someone was stepping on my chest the entire time. Breathing became a voluntary act, not an involuntary act. After I stopped the medication, I experienced increased heart rate for several days. After that, for the next couple of days, I was OUT of it, I couldn't concentrate on anything, I couldn't focus, I couldn't enjoy anything. It was a very frightening experience and I wish I never took solodyn.

Pros:

Clears acne quickly you see good results in just a matter of weeks!!

Cons:

So far none but minor headaches but worth it!!! If you have no insurance expensive.

This is a great acne treatment if you take it as prescribed. I have only been on this close to a week and have seen great results.

Pros:

-clears up acne
-new breakouts (if any) are small and go away quickly

Cons:

-makes acne worse BEFORE getting better
-takes some time to work
-pretty expensive

It took about a month of me using Solodyn before I started noticing a difference. When I did notice a difference, it was because my acne had gotten worse. Then, my face started peeling really bad. I exfoliated and exfoliated and finally got rid of all the nasty peeling. My face looks better than it has in 2 years. It is still dry and alittle flaky but I just use lots of moisterizer. I would rather it be dry than have acne!!

Pros:

None! Hasn't done anything for me!

Cons:

Second and third week I got terrible headaches very single day, and got really tired in the middle of the day. That stopped within the fourth week though. Has not done anything for my acne, if anything made it worse.

Have been using it for 7 weeks, will give it 1 more then swicthing to Doryx.

Pros:

It cleared my face up very effectively. I have mild acne but I still had a lot of clogging and I have an oily face. This medicine works very well!

Cons:

It took a while. I've been taking it for 4 months now. It is pricey too if you don't have the coupon.

Take it. It works and it's definitely worth the wait.

Pros:

Didn't make me sick or anything.

Cons:

EXPENSIVE!
Didn't work.
Made things worse.

I used the 90mg pill once a day for 3 months and just got negative results from it. It made my face even worse, gave me pimples on my body where I usually don't get them, and I think made the pimples more inflamed. I use BP once a day and just started taking Zinc. I'm going back to my old treatment for Doxycycline.

Pros:

Doctor gave me a rebate card so it cost me only 10 bucks.

Cons:

VERY expensive if you do not have rebate card. I found it did nothing.

My derm told me to use solodyn for max 3 months. I did and am now off. I feel it did not clear up my skin at all. Not sure if I should ask her to continue to use it past 3 months. Maybe it takes longer than I think to see results.
