Pros:

Definite Improvement

Cons:

Caused liver problems- had to discontinue

If you are going to use this medicine for any length of time I would suggest regular blood tests.

Pros:

-clears up most acne

Cons:

-insurance doesnt cover it so I have to use the coupon cards
-takes two weeks of taking it to start working
-doesn't help with blackheads

The first two weeks I used it my acne was terrible! It pushes all the pimples under your skin out but after those two weeks it prevents pimples from forming under your skin and my skin cleared up a lot. I still get a pimple or two but they are usually not very big. I can't imagine not having this medicine!

Just bad scars :/ and it didnt cost much cause insurance but idk how much for sure cause my mom goes and pays lol

Pros:

I was reluctant but it actually cleared up all my pimples even the the big huge bumps!

Cons:

It costs alot to some people but money is not an issue to me (500 dollars )

If you clearly have been trying many medication and wasted like 100dollars or more in buying that stuff. Go to your derm ask how solodyn is for you. Than Get it. If money is an issue get some samples pills from the doctor that will last atleast 2 weeks. I started it like saturday and now its wednesday and my face is totally cleared from all those small pimples to those big huge pimplees

Pros:

after about 4weeks my skin looks clear...minor breakouts. doc says that it will take more then 8 weeks to see total results.

Cons:

i was on accutane a few years back and it worked..to many side affects and the pipmles always return. solodyn works but you must be patient :)))

besides accutane ( which i really dont want to go on again...it eats your liver, etc... ) i have tried EVERYTHING!!!!! i think this pill is a new advanced medicine that can work if you give it some time....really! i have not experienced any side effects besides some dry skin and i already have major dry skin. give it time :))

Works... But not for me
I've been using Solodyn for about 3 weeks now. My dermatologist has me taking half of a 115mg Tablet once a day along with Aczone and Acanya. It's definitely cleared up most of the inflamed acne but everything else is still present. I think this is because I have extremely oily skin so my pores are constantly being clogged. Before this I was on Doxycyclin for a little while which did absolutely nothing. Then Aczone and Acanya with little improvement. Hence the reason why my doctor threw in Solodyn. If cystic acne is your main problem then this will probably work for you. But personally I'm just waiting on my follow up date so that I can beg for Accutane.

Doxycycline literally did absolutely nothing for me either!
