Erythromycin, accutane, tetracycline, etc. are all TEMPORARY fixes. As long as you have a body, it will produce oil and bacteria--you would die if it didn't. There are not any medications in existence that will magically make acne disappear and never return--if there was, no one would ever have pimples again. Antibiotics used in conjuction with proper diet, excercise, and hygiene will minimize outbreaks. It's all genetic.

Pros:

clears skin to a certain extent, depuffs face and lost weight

Cons:

after a few weeks spots started to come back.

when ever i get bad skin the bacteria seems to make my face and nose go all puffy aswell, and after 1 week of taking this it had totally had de-puffed which i thought was really good! and skin wasnt greasy either.i found after the first few months of taking them my skin really improved 75% but after 3 months once the body had got used to them i started to get spots coming on my neck and painfull ones which i thought was wierd coz i never get spots there usually.so i stopped taking them for a couple of weeks to give system a break and have started again and all my spots seem to be clearing up..i have taken these pills a few times now and they always seem to clear my skin and i would say my acne can be quite bad,and ive always struggeled with weight going up and down and can deff say it makes me loose weight it does something where it makes you loose you taste buds i think which i think is good for me haha!!! but also make sure you wash ur face wheneva greasy and drink lots water xx

Pros:

I have been using erythromycin topical solution for about 2 years it has improved my skin Alot, but it does not treat acne scars. It makes a great improvement when using with benzoyl peroxide as face cleanser.

Cons:

Slight burning, face feels oily, looks really RED

I really recommend this product to people with mild to moderate acne to use alone,If your like me with severe acne my face changed dramatically when using a oral antibiotic, and erythromycin topical solution along with prescription benzoyl peroxide. IT DOES WORK.

Pros:

I used this product for over two years. With the help of a birth control pill, it completely cleared me up. Zero side effects.

Cons:

My skin got immune to it after 2 years. When it stopped working, I got the worst breakouts of my entire life.

It's a great product to try, but just remember that your skin risks getting immune to it if you stay on it long-term.

Pros:

Cleared up skin really well and within a reasonably quick period of time compared to other medication i have been on (e.g celeste contraceptive pill)

Cons:

Left my skin free of spots and troublesome blemishes untill my skin became resistent to the medication.

I have taken at least a year off erythromycin and i plan to go back on it within the next week with hope that it will start working again, as nothing has worked as well.

Pros:

It did start to make a difference at first.

Cons:

After being on this for a few months it made no difference to my skin. My skin even got a lot worse, while using this.

This could help some people, but not for me!

This drug didnt work at all for me. Didnt make my spots go-away/stop them from appearing. I also used the cream 'DIFFERIN' which again did nuffin but stilled continued to use it becus i didnt want to risk not usin it, Due to start Roaccatane on the 23/01/07 4 6 months so fingers crossed!!!!

Pros:

Didn't upset my stomach, no real side effects. I took this for years, it always seemed to have a moderate impact.

Cons:

When I stopped taking it I didn't notice any difference in my skin so maybe it wasn't actually doing anything. I don't really like the idea of being on an anti-biotic long-term.

It was alright, but it didn't do much.

Pros:

SO I TOOK THAT AND IT DID NOTHING FOR ME. MY DERMATOLOGIST JUST PERSCRIBED MY CLINDAMYOCIN AND I HAVE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR SKIN. YOU SHOULD ASK FOR IT.

Cons:

TINY BIT OF DRYING IF YOU HASVE SENSITIVE SKIN, BUT IT GOES AWAY AFTER 2 DAYS.

ASK FOR A TRAIL OF CLINDAMYOCIAN
