Not good
I've taken erythromycin for over a month now and it has done nothing. When I first started taking them I had the worst pains in my stomach, headaches, and nausea however after about 4 days it stopped. Once I began taking them I found my skin breaking out worse than ever (although that could of been due to me not taken the lymecycline tablets anymore) anyways my acne usually came mainly around my time of the month but since taking these I have had constant breakouts. I used these tablets along with benzoyl peroxide and I found that didn't help either. I have now decided to stop taking them and go back to lymecycline

Pros:

It was starting to work.
Its easy for me to swallow tablets.

Cons:

Made my skin dry from the first two applications.
Gave me headaches, dizziness and bad stomach aches.

It works amazingly and i could see a difference in a few applications. Its probably better to take the tablets after having a meal because it absorbs better. Its good thought because got the tablets FREE because i got it from a prescription from my doctor. It is a good antibiotic because im not even a teenager yet.

Pros:

Worked for 2 months.

Cons:

Developed antibiotic resistance and had painful out breaks

It worked for me for almost two months, and significant improvements were made by the med. However, until three weeks ago, the med stopped working, my acne came back and they are more painful and red then ever before. Now I am so embarrassed that everyone at my workplace is telling me to clean up my face :(.

Pros:

having been on many other types of medication, this is the first one to give me significant differences where i feel my skin is beginning to win the battle against acne. It is easy to take (in the form of capsules) and is very quick!

Cons:

it does cause some stomach discomfort however weighed against the benefits i feel it is a positive outcome thus far. It has made my skin dry but only as much as any of the other medications. Less side effects but less effective than roaccutane.

very positive medication with great results. I would use if you have had little success with previous medication and are looking for a real change and are willing to go through some of the mild side effects :)

Pros:

This product has reduced a lot of the redness that used to be on my skin and has eliminated at least 30% of my acne and I have only been taking this pill for 4 days!

Cons:

Although the product works pretty well it makes me go to the bathroom a lot and rarely gives me chest pains.

I've had moderate acne for at least 2 to 3 years and to see that one of the many products I have used has finally worked makes me feel really good. You will see a huge difference in your skin just days after trying this product.

Pros:

worked at first..

Cons:

been on it for two months and my chest is now coverd in pimple.... i'm so dissapointed because in the first 4 weeks my skin became perfect and my confidence soared. now i am jst miserable again looking for another way to help my acne.

it's a quick fix, not a long term treatment. Oh and i had thrush in the first two weeks.

Pros:

cleared up acne within 2 months, skin was completely clear.

Cons:

stopped working after 6 months acne is starting to return did not have any sickness or tummy upset

It took 3 weeks to kick in my skin was completely clear with not 1 spot for about 5 months. Then docs took the amount down and it started to come back so i put it back up but i think im immune to it now, as acne is returning. Was not expensive either. Going back to docs this week to find an alternative.

Pros:

Reduces redness, clears spots

Cons:

Dry skin in morning, greasy towards the end of the day :( Oh and it takes forever to dry - which is anoying in the morning before school.

When i first started using Steimycin topical solution, it really worked and my skin was practically clear in a week and was really happy with the outcome. Then my doctor prescribed me tablets (Oxyteterine?) And this mademe break out in EVEN MORE than i had in the first place. So i went back to the steimycin and it is a very slow process but you do see a gradual impovement over the weeks, i would recommend this product. Im 15 years old by the way.
