Its not the answer to acne.

Pros:

This product works incredibly fast. Even after one day I noticed a difference. It's also affordable.

Cons:

It kind of irritates your skin the first few times you use it, but is otherwise a good product.

Well worth buying, one of the best products you can afford.

Pros:

The fragrance is good and alright price.

Cons:

Made my skin go quite red, itchy and showed no improvements in terms of acne.

I heard all these greats things about it and how it was 'dermatologists #1 recommended acne fighter'. I'm quite a sucker to advertising so I went and bought it. Didn't seem to do anything for the first few days. All of a sudden my skin started getting extremely itchy and flaky. Stopped using it after a few weeks. But I guess different acne products work for different people.

Pros:

Smells great, prevents pimples

Cons:

Dries skin

I have mild/moderate acne. This cleanser's been around for a long time, my parents used it when they had acne. It helped them, and it has helped me. It did dry my skin out, which is actually fairly normal (despite the acne). I'm probably going to buy a hydrating treatment for my dry patches, because I can't stop using this...it's just too great! I'd also like to say that if it doesn't work for you at first, don't be discouraged. Finish out the bottle, and if it still hasn't worked, then find something new.

Pros:

Works for the first few days

Cons:

Destroys your skin thereafter; leaves it painful and cracking and uncontrollably breaking out

Victoria from Iowa-- I suggest you be on the watch since you've only been using this product for four days. At first, it cleared my skin, and I thought, hey I'll just use gatsby paper to get rid of the copious amounts of oil that appeared after I washed, and then apply moisturizer. So I did. After about a week, Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash turned against me and started destroying my face. I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and used it for about two more weeks. Big mistake. I had to contend with attending my first year at UCLA with very bad skin. Now my skin is doing much, much better. For daily wash, I use Origins Checks & Balances. To treat breakouts, I use BenzaClin. I use Origins Swept Away with Activated Charcoal to exfoliate about twice a week (it is the gentlest exfoliant anywhere). I will also try Olay Deep Cleansing Mask by Monday.

Pros:

gentle
smells good

Cons:

dries skin
doesn't clear acne like you want it to

This product is best used in conjunction with other forms of treatment, like lotions, pills, etc.... This will NOT clear up your acne by itself, but it's a nice cleanser that has a great natural exfoliant, Salicylic Acid, but is still gentle on skin. It is a little drying, so be sure to treat that accordingly.

Pros:

made my face feel clean, kept it from being oily

Cons:

didnt really clear up the small breakouts i had... and the smell annoyed me

Try it if you have oily skin, but if you're looking to clear a breakout dont buy this.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Within seconds of using this product, my face broke out in a rash. 24 hours later, my entire face is red and swollen. I am 65 years old and have never, ever experienced such an adverse reaction from an OTC product! I'm going back to Cetaphil!

If you have sensitive skin, avoid this extremely irritating product. My dermatologist provided a sample for me to try and now I am miserable.
