Pros:

in two weeks i have seen the acne go away i still have like one or two pimples but its only been two wks

Cons:

if you use all 3 products everyday, it seems to cause a lot of peeling and drying

use the products sparingly if you have a lot of peeling and drying and that solves the problem. and for hyperpigmentation you can use step 6 of the nuderm obagi line to clear up any dark spots but i would only use it once a day. I use the whole obagi nuderm line and it took me from a bumpy snow leopard to the smoothest most radiant skin ever. The key with nuderm is use a acne cream as step 3 after your toner and it takes 3 months to work but you see results in 1 month. I only stopped using it due to i got pregnant and i looked like a snow leopard again. So i decided to try clenziderm. I like it but the nuderm seemed to be gentler on my skin and worked better.

Pros:

Worked great for me. I had cystic acne constantly and was also seeing the first small wrinkles under my eyes when I began using Obagi 1.5 years ago. It completely evened out my skin tone and I rarely have a breakout now. When I do, it's so minor.

Cons:

Expensive. Initially, the system only lasted around 2-2.5 mths. After the first 4 mths., I went to maintenace mode and now only have to replace product here and there. I think the retin-a lasts me about 5 months.

Well worth the money. You will use alot of product in the beginning, but you can use less after the first 20 weeks. You will peel and look bad for about 1-2 mths. at first. I only use the retin-a 3x's a week now and rarely peel. If the peeling is too bad at first, just back off on how much of it you use. But if you do that, it will take longer to see results. I just suffered through the horrible skin and now I have great skin. If I want to peel, I use it several days in a row. It is awesome for dark spots. I know about 10 women who use this as well and can tell you you will see results.

Pros:

- Works very well during your first time use.
- Clears acne
- Reduces blemishes

Cons:

- Not good for long term. Your skin colour may darken or redden if you use it for too long
- Acne may come back after stop using.
- Smell

Everyone's skin is different, but for me Obagi was great but with undesired consequences. I do know its effect inside out though. I first used it exactly two years ago. I was desperate for acne treatment because I've tried so many yet none worked. After my doctor told me for years that "it will eventually fade as I age" I guess he felt bad for me because it was worsening. So he gave me Obagi Clenziderm (Normal to Dry). My face is very oily but he said this will do for my first use since it is very strong. During the first few weeks, my skin was crazy. It was extremely red, dry, flaky, and I just wanted to stop using it. But I knew patience was required from experience. So about a month or so later, it started to work. Other people noticed before I did. They complimented my skin! It never happened since I was a kid! Luckily it was during the summer when I didn't have to study. So stress was reduced, increasing its effect. By the time summer was over (3-4 months later), my skin cleared up so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy! No breakouts, and the blemishes were fading!!! After about 8-9 months, my skin was really cleared up and I was satisfied enough to stop using it. But after I stopped, little bits of acne came back and months later, extreme hot and humid weather made my skin horrible so I used Obagi again. But when I reused it, it had little or no effect. In fact, it darkened my skin and now I'm horrified by my changed skin colour... I stopped using it about a month ago, but I started using it again because it's still the most effective for me to clear up big acnes. It's red all over again because my skin's not used to it any more. So I'm debating whether I should continue or not at the moment. My doctor prescribed me clindamycin and differin today, so maybe I'll switch over to them which I have never used yet. So just don't use it in the long term, b/c it still works!!!

Pros:

Smooth, evened out skin, redness reduced, less breakouts

Cons:

take too long to see results!

I basically started this is july, and now it's november, and I still don't see drastic changes. I still get breakouts, and I still have some redness. However, it did reduce a lot of the redness i had, and smoothed out my face! I also get less breakouts. my face used to be bumpy, and rough, but now it's soft and smooth. I think i need to wait a little bit longer to see the realy results. But, if you have oily skin, and have scars and unevenness, this is great for you. this product is not for somone who is impatient, but patience is key to every product out there.

Pros:

I have very oily skin and this is the first product that actually kept my skin from getting oily during the day. Cleared up my skin in 2 weeks.

Cons:

The last step can be drying but I found once your skin is clear it's best to use it as a spot treatment or don't use it everyday.

My esthetician recommended obagi for me and said it would clear up my skin in 2 weeks and she was right. I only use it once a day at night. I love the way the cleanser leaves my skin cool feeling. You can really feel the toner working deep within your pores. The biggest thing is you have to follow it exactly how it says. Once you wash your skin you have to wait for it to completely dry before you try step 2. Then the same for that, you have to wait for that to dry before step 3. They recommend waiting about 10 mins in between each. When you see the results you will see it's well worth the time. I'm very glad I paid the money to try this. It was well worth it to have clear skin and not feel so shiny and oily within 2 hours of washing my face. Every product works differently for everyone but I would definitely recommend you try this one before anything else:)

Pros:

Obagi Clenziderm completely cleared my acne when nothing else worked. You can also see results faster than other products. My acne was significantly reduced in 2 weeks and completely cleared in about a month.

Cons:

It can be somewhat drying even when I moisturize daily.

I have tried pretty much everything that you can buy without a prescription for acne treatment...Murad, Neutragena, Proactive, and even tried salicylic acid peels. Nothing worked until this for my moderate to severe cystic acne. If I miss a few days, switch to another product, or leave out one of the steps then my acne comes back so I religiously stick to the 3 step regimen. I use a moisturizer with SPF in the morning to help with the drying. Overall I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros:

Obagi Clenziderm - In less than one week the kit has dramatically faded the red dots that my acne leaves behind. Oiliness is reduced, too.

Cons:

time consuming to use.

I've had acne all my life and used tetracycline, minocin, accutane, Proactiv, you name it. Proactiv worked like a dream up until 2 years ago when my acne changed. Now (I'm 46) my acne is more cystic - I get very hard round bumps all clustered in one area on my forehead or chin. The breakout lasts about 2 months, then just goes away. The bumps leave behind a red dot that takes a year to fade. I'll be fine for a few months, then another breakout will happen. I've only been using Clenziderm for about a week and have been very pleased. I haven't experienced any drying or peeling. My skin just looks more radiant and less scarred.

Pros:

Dries out oily skin and pimples, tightens enlarged, oily pores

Cons:

Expensive, tedious 3-step process, bleaches clothing

I have had acne since I was 12 (I'm now 32) and once I got into my mid-20's my acne became cystic, my skin got oiler and my pores got larger. I've tried everything under the sun and some stuff helps more than others. I was using Obagi Nu-Derm which really cleared up my acne and helped with acne scarring but it made my skin much more oily so I stopped using it. When my acne returned a few weeks later, I decided to try the ClenziDerm. Typically, my skin has oil dots all over it with 1/2 hour of getting out of the shower. The first day I used Clenziderm, my skin did not become oily for about 2 hours after I got out of the shower and even then, it was about 1/4 as oily. My skin felt really tight and my pores looked smaller. My skin was somewhat itchy but it's not been peely or red. I don't have any new zits, either, which is great! I'm only on day 5 but so far, I'm loving it!

Pros:

Smells great!! Leaves skin feeling verry smooth

Cons:

Price is outrageous

I only use the face wash and I only use it everyone in awhile. I love the smell and I love how my face feels baby soft afterwards. My skin has a tendency to get used to a product very fast and will stop it from working any longer for me. I will say though however I do find myself going back to this face wash more than any others.
