Pros:

-prevents infection
-heals popped pimple

Cons:

-allergic reaction

Unfortunately, I am one of the unlucky people who are sensitive to the ingredient in neosporin, and I developed a big red area when I applied it to my popped pimple :( But it did help to heal it.

Pros:

It works!!

Cons:

People with severe acne should stay away from it because if you use it too often or in large areas your skin will soon build a resistance to it. It is a very strong antibiotic.

I occassionally have the big zit on my chin. I dab some neosporin on it and by the next day, it's reduced to nearly nothing. INCREDIBLE spot treatment. Nothing works like it. I've been using it as a spot treatment for years and love it. I swear by Neosporin.

Pros:

Neosporin + pain relief cream works great & I love it! I see significant improvement after years of wasting money on acne products. Simple is better.

Cons:

Don't overuse because you may become resistant to the ingredients.

After I became an adult, I started getting acne. I have spent thousands on acne products, dermatologist & prescriptions. After nothing worked, I began praying that God would cure me from this horrible problem and spirit spoke to me and said stop using anything made for acne. If you think about it, ACNE PRODUCTS DON'T CURE ACNE! The acne product companies would be out of business cause if they did because there would be no need to keep buying the creams, cleansers & lotions. Just like illnesses & diseases vs. prescriptions & treatments. So I began just using a simple cream cleanser (Olay Definity Illuminating Cream Cleanser) not made for acne. I don't use my hands to wash my face, I use the daily facial cleansing cloths & I put the cream cleanser on the cloth. One cloth usually lasts me about 1 week since I hang it to dry after each use. And while my skin is still damp, I apply a fingertip of the neosporin cream to my skin & I rub in every other night or as needed. Give it a week or

Pros:

I used it on this crazy, unencapsulated cyst that had overtaken my entire chin and it was noticeably smaller the next day.

Cons:

Had to be careful when sleeping that I didn't smear it off on the pillow. Greasy.

Haven't tried it on face allover, but will definately use it for acute issues again. It kinda felt prickly, itchy when I first put it on clean, dried skin.

Pros:

heals acne FAST

Cons:

a bit greasy

I have had mild acne for 5 years now and tried everything from proactive to azaleic acid to murad to natures cure ..EVERYTHING, you get the point. but i cannot praise neosporing enough, although I've only been using it for 3 weeks, my acne has drastically reduced.. it has completely cleared my skin. and when i notice a zit coming on, i have applied it, and it is gone in 2 days. TRY IT!!!!

Pros:

Good on scars

Cons:

Oil base

It worked well for me on scars that were left due to earlier pimples. But havent tried on zits that have just occured.

Pros:

- Dramatically reduces size and redness
- Helps heal the scars acne leaves behind

Cons:

NONE!

I use Proactiv (which works wonders for me) but I would still get one or two HUGE blemishes on my face that would take days to reduce in size and, since of course i couldnt help myself and popped them, would leave behind dark scars. I decided to try Neosporin and IT WORKS WONDERS. I bought those little circular bandaids and I put a dab of Neosporin on and then cover it with a bandaid before bed and the next day the pimple is either reduced to almost nothing with little redness or the blemish is completely gone. I also apply it to residual scars from previous acne and it helps lighten them as well. NEOSPORIN IS A MUST-HAVE!

Pros:

I have used this on my face at night for years and it was just okay. My friend told me about Mederma and I STRONGLY suggest everyone go read the reviews for that. Works SOOO much better than neosporin for acne scars.

Cons:

This product doesn't really work well...it does prevent scabbing but it so greasy and gets all over my bedding.

Bottom line: READ THE REVIEWS for MEDERMA!! I made the switch from neosporin to mederma a few weeks ago and i see MAJOR results. My old AND new scars are way less visible and it actually helps to reduce redness on new pimples!!!

Pros:

helped my skin get back under control

Cons:

doesn't completely clear it up by it self

you might get a resistance if you use it to long

i recently had a horrible breakout and nuthin would help it!!! it was bad so i decided i would use neosporin all over my face (like dan uses the BP) for just a few days and it got my skin under control now i'm drinking 6 cups of green tea and my skin is continuing to clear up

I was looking around for some information on neosporin and I found a website that said neosporin should not be used long term because it actually kills the agents that help the skin resist bacteria. so DON'T depend on it to treat acne because it will be harmful in the long run! You can take a look at the article at [link removed]

I need to add this comment for you too, because you are yet another person who has no idea what you are talking about because you have never tried it. DO NOT review something if you haven't tried it. You are ignorant to the subject.
