Pros:

Great moisturizer for the body.

Cons:

Not recommended for the face.

I find this moisturizer to be too heavy for my face (it did clog my pores a bit) but it is fantastic as a body moisturizer as it cures the dryness. I notice that I am not breaking out anymore on the shoulders since wearing this moisturizer (the fragranced stuff is deadly for me). A little bit goes a long way. I also use the cleansing bar in the shower as a soap replacement.

Pros:

moisturizes

Cons:

Burns

This product burns sooo badly... I don't know why. I usually have non-sensitive skin. It does moisturize well though.

Pros:

It really does moisturize. Oh, how it moisturizes. Given how much the BP seems to dry out skin, the fact that this stuff does its job, and well, is a point not to be ignored.

Cons:

It is indeed thick, and it does indeed leave one's face as shiny as freshly poured olive oil.

If you do not mind being on the shiny side, then this stuff is just fine. It doesn't seem to be an irritant, all leaving you with more acne than it takes away, but oh man SO SHINY. I can't say if it made my skin red, or if that was the BP. It's a good moisturizer, but seriously, it really does make your face like a biological mirror (which is to say, shiiiiiiny).

Pros:

Works really well for dry, flaky sensitive skin

Cons:

Does make your skin oily, but I have found if I only use it at night and use a sensitive skin SPF 15 lotion during the day (like oil of olay, which doesn't clog pores) it works like a charm.

Definitely recommend it....I'd rather have slighty oily skin that's clear than dry skin with breakouts mixed in

Pros:

Went on smooth and quickly absorbed into my skin; easy to use; fragrance free!

Cons:

It left my face a bit oily

I had never really considered that my skin was sensitive when I reacted badly to other soaps and moisturizers. It wasn't until recently when my skin was left feeling like leather after changing face washes that I was desperate for something that would no longer irritate my skin but give it the hydration it needs. This was it! The effect was almost immediate. After a few minutes, the dry flaky skin had almost completely vanished. I'm sticking with cetaphil from now.

Pros:

Affordable, great moisturizer for people with over dry skin

Cons:

If you have extremely oily skin like I do, keep looking.

After reading all the reviews for this product, I thought I would try the generic brand Equate. I compared the ingredients and they were exactly the same. Unfortunately, the generic brand is just as greasy as the Cetaphil brand. I have extremely oily skin and I do not like the feel of this product. It moisturizes great but I cant get past the oily feel and I sure cant use it in the morning before going to work. DAN, where is that moisturizer you are working on? There's a conspiracy to discontinue the few good moisturizers out there for people with acne prone skin.

Pros:

This does moisturize well and does get rid of flakiness. Plus it's a huge bottle and lasts a while.

Cons:

I only use this at bedtime because it makes my skin look so greasy that I can't imagine using it during the day.

Works well, but I would use it only at night. I let it absorb and it was fine for a few minutes. Then my skin became an oil slick. Atleast it doesn't appear to make me break out.

Moisturises well

I use this alongside the Cetaphil cleanser and I have combination skin. I have found, using it AM and PM, that it complements the cleanser well and is absorbed into my skin without feeling greasy. [redacted]

So far so good
I've been using the clean and clear dual action moisturizer for about a 5 years, which is about the same length that I've been dealing with my acne. I have very dry/oily acne prone skin so I'm scared to try new products, but I decided to try this cetaphil moisturizer because after washing my face with my cerave face wash, my face always got dry even after applying the clean and clear. Anyways, it's my third day using the cetaphil lotion and I haven't broken out at all, I've only woken up to a few small white heads (which is kinda normal for me) so nothing major and I think it has actually calmed my skin down a bit. I guess I wasn't properly moisturizing my skin this whole time. I was nervous to try it because people said it broke them out terribly, but every skin type will react different so I would give it a try. However, I recommend only using a tiny bit because it does leave your face feeling greasy and tacky if you use a lot like I did at first! Also I'm not sure if I like how makeup applies after I apply the lotion because of its tacky-ness.

Pros:

Non-greasy
Doesn't irritate sensitive skin

Cons:

Wish it was more moisturizing for my dry skin

I use this because I have very sensitive skin and can't use fragrance. It's non-greasy and doesn't clog my pores. Just wish it would make my skin look and feel softer.
