Pros:

It really does moisturize. Oh, how it moisturizes. Given how much the BP seems to dry out skin, the fact that this stuff does its job, and well, is a point not to be ignored.

Cons:

It is indeed thick, and it does indeed leave one's face as shiny as freshly poured olive oil.

If you do not mind being on the shiny side, then this stuff is just fine. It doesn't seem to be an irritant, all leaving you with more acne than it takes away, but oh man SO SHINY. I can't say if it made my skin red, or if that was the BP. It's a good moisturizer, but seriously, it really does make your face like a biological mirror (which is to say, shiiiiiiny).

Pros:

Works really well for dry, flaky sensitive skin

Cons:

Does make your skin oily, but I have found if I only use it at night and use a sensitive skin SPF 15 lotion during the day (like oil of olay, which doesn't clog pores) it works like a charm.

Definitely recommend it....I'd rather have slighty oily skin that's clear than dry skin with breakouts mixed in

Pros:

Great in conjuction with my benozyl regimen.

Cons:

Greasy-looking face for about 10-20min after application. Funny

Has made a great impact on my skin - I was in the midst of a massive breakout coming off minomycin and suddenly, in conjuction with my benozyl regimen, my skin is recovering and its awesome.

Pros:

Went on smooth and quickly absorbed into my skin; easy to use; fragrance free!

Cons:

It left my face a bit oily

I had never really considered that my skin was sensitive when I reacted badly to other soaps and moisturizers. It wasn't until recently when my skin was left feeling like leather after changing face washes that I was desperate for something that would no longer irritate my skin but give it the hydration it needs. This was it! The effect was almost immediate. After a few minutes, the dry flaky skin had almost completely vanished. I'm sticking with cetaphil from now.

Pros:

Affordable, great moisturizer for people with over dry skin

Cons:

If you have extremely oily skin like I do, keep looking.

After reading all the reviews for this product, I thought I would try the generic brand Equate. I compared the ingredients and they were exactly the same. Unfortunately, the generic brand is just as greasy as the Cetaphil brand. I have extremely oily skin and I do not like the feel of this product. It moisturizes great but I cant get past the oily feel and I sure cant use it in the morning before going to work. DAN, where is that moisturizer you are working on? There's a conspiracy to discontinue the few good moisturizers out there for people with acne prone skin.

Pros:

This does moisturize well and does get rid of flakiness. Plus it's a huge bottle and lasts a while.

Cons:

I only use this at bedtime because it makes my skin look so greasy that I can't imagine using it during the day.

Works well, but I would use it only at night. I let it absorb and it was fine for a few minutes. Then my skin became an oil slick. Atleast it doesn't appear to make me break out.

clogging

I read a lot of reviews before buying this and was not impressed once I got it. my skin felt hydrated but after about a week of use, i noticed that my blackheads in my chin and around my nose were worse than ever and also started getting white hard bumps in my cheeks that I had to extract using a needle. I didn't use it much after that and didn't look back. Blackheads stopped getting so bad and the white things eventually stopped too.

Moisturises well

I use this alongside the Cetaphil cleanser and I have combination skin. I have found, using it AM and PM, that it complements the cleanser well and is absorbed into my skin without feeling greasy. [redacted]

Just bad
I used this for months thinking the acne I was getting was normal... I have moderate acne anyway but I don't get it on the cheek area on either side of the nose/under the eyes - this lotion gave me acne there! This was probably because it gave me blackheads (all over my face, but particularly on the aforementioned area) - since I've stopped using it I don't get any blackheads. By extension it also made my pores bigger. While it probably did prevent moisture loss, it doesn't add much moisture to your skin and is very greasy - it doesn't sink in and leaves a sheen on your face. I wouldn't recommend

Works great
I use this at night to moisturize my face, and it works really good. I have acne-prone and oily skin, and this product hasn't made me break out. I would definitely recommend this.
