Reduces Shine
This is great to reduce shine/oil on your skin. I put a thin layer on my skin in the morning. Apparently it's also a great makeup primer, if you wear makeup.

Pros:

if you stupidly pick a spot, put it on and it drys it up.
good as a mask.
drys up skin

Cons:

with too much use the skins very dry
doesnt prevent acne

i have acne on my face, front and back. this product doesnt stop acne but it drys it up and makes a god mask. wouldnt recommend you to use it too much, but it may work for someone with very light acne! give it a go, only cheap and can be found nearly anywhere! x

Pros:

Works quickly and effectively, cheap, doesn't bleach fabric like other products. No more oily skin or redness!

Cons:

Can cause irritation on dry skin, dries white so you can't use it during the day.

I've tried countless perscriptions from my dermatologist, none of which have worked. Proactiv, benozyl peroxide, all the rest were ineffective and just irritated my sensitive skin. Even other "at-home" remedies (think: tea tree oil or egg whites) don't work as well at battling acne and redness. MoM is gentle and not overly-drying on my skin. It works very quickly. I've only used it for a few days and i'm already seeing improvement. I'm hoping it's going to continue to cure my problems!

Pros:

My skin is no longer oily

Cons:

I think it broke me out in some places. Bumpy skin and whiteheads, but I'm not sure? And it's hard to wash off, it's sticky

I only use it on my nose which is the only super oily part of my skin.

Pls help
Can a kind soul help me? After using a thin layer of MoM on my face in the morning, when I wash my face using a cleanser at night, will the layer like stop my salicylic acid cleanser's ability to unclog my pores and do its work etc? And after that I would put my spot treatment serum would it affect the serum acne-clearing ability too? Cuz I heard the layer of MoM stays on even after washing?

i learned this from holistic estheticians. at night you wash your face, then put on your treatments and moisturizers. wait five or ten minutes for it to absorb then apply milk of mag last. They recommend persa gel 5% BP (the only chemical they use). It doesn't hinder other products ability, but works with it to help purge out impurities. Its also an anti-inflammatory. Apply with a clean cotton ball. be sure to use moisturizer before masking bc its drying.

Pros:

get rids of redness and bumps
it also clears up acne and forming pimples pretty fast
its super super good at reducing oilyness..no shine at all during the day...it makes skin amazingly soft and smooth after a couple of days

Cons:

it seems pretty weird to be smearing laxative on your face, but hey it works :P
it does leave it a little residue but its barely there

this stuff really works, its probably the best that i have tried to get rid of redness and scar spots....you just dab some of this on with a soaked cotton ball, on your whole face or just for spots doesnt matter...leave it on for like 10-20 minutes, wash it off..then wala!..i saw a huge change after one day and even more after 1 week.. i started using this after i read it somewhere that it helps rosacea and quit my daily routine of benzaclin (which stopped working for me)..however i did continue using retin-a but i dont think that makes much of a difference...this stuff works wonders for my oily skin and does not make my skin dry and flaky at all..i dont know how it works for normal to dry skin though...

Pros:

so far none.

Cons:

face is STILL extremely oily and coarse looking.

Hey everyone. I need some feedback. I'm really confused right now if I should continue with this product or not. I don't know if i should give it more time, but i'm not seeing results like the other reviews i'm reading and i feel so hopeless and devistated! I have extremely oily skin. Every hour i have to blott my face with these oil pads and it comes up clear everytime! Thats how serious it is. I use MoM as a primer under my foundation and i'm not getting the results of less oil. Infact i feel like my skin is getting more oily...is that suppose to be happening and is that possible that MoM is doing this to my skin or a coincidence? My skin is still oily with MoM. Only thing i feel it does is maybe dry up the acne a little. I don't know what to do..any suggestions?
