Pros:

Works amazingly well. Definate improvement after just a couple days. No more oily skin!

Cons:

Can itch a bit when it dries. It's kind of hard to get it all the way off your face, and leaves a residue.

I've had horrible, moderately severe acne for 5 years. Nothing has worked: overthecounter stuff, benzoyl peroxide, salycylic acid, proactive, lemon juice, aloe vera gel, hydrogen peroxide,... you get the picture. So I was skeptical when I heard about putting a laxative on as a mask, but I saw a HUGE difference after about 3 days. I'm now about 99% acne free after just a week of use! Milk of magnesia is my holy grail!

MAKEUP PRIMER
Honestly, I don't know whether it works or not concerning acne because I haven't used it in that sense but it is an AMAZING makeup primer if you suffer from oily skin! Apparently, it can have a plateau effect so I interchange between this and calamine lotion, which is also a phenomenal primer! Although I said I'm not sure about it working for acne, I do think that less oil can mean less clogged pores. I also get pimples much less now-a-days. This may have contributed. Who knows?? It's worth a try!

Pros:

It really works! The only product so far that actually kept the oil off my face.

Cons:

It makes my face white/bleached looking (temporarily). I wouldn't want to put it on in the morning, but I put it on about 20 minutes before bed every night, and then wash it off before going to sleep.

This is one of those things you can't believe it actually works, but it really does. NOTHING else has worked for me, not $350 tubes of creams or medications, or Proactiv, or anything else... it's amazing that a $2 bottle of laxative finally fixed the oiliness on my face!

Pros:

(For Face.)
- Seems to leave a matte finish.
- Seems to diminish oil (still testing.)
- Can be used for many things.

Cons:

(For Face.)
- Extremely hard to apply.
- Seems to work less than other products.

If you have shiny and extremely oily skin (either/or, or both), I would check this product out as a test to see if it helps you. It's a cheap, neat experiment. However, when you apply it, you'll most likely get tons of dry chalk no matter how well and thin you apply it - let that chalk sit for 15 mins and it'll fade. One product to check out for a relatively equal price and the same effect (possibly better) is OxyClinical Clearing Treatment %5 (the %10 version does not work as well as a matte). It comes in a little box (small tube inside) for around $5 at Walmart, and works in the same fashion as the Phillips, but leaves NO white chalk and applies better. Phillips seems to work better with make-up, though, the Oxy stays just a tad too "soft matte" to add make-up, but the good thing is that the Oxy doesn't "dry" really, it works just a bit more like a perfect matte cream. The Oxy also gives the illusion of "tight pores" SO much better, the Phillips doesn't compare in the pore department. You can really gob the Oxy on with no bad effect, it really smoothens the skin out totally.

Pros:

Controls oil, great for a make- up primer, makes skin smooth, reduces redness :D

Cons:

I honestly don't have any cons, yeah it makes your face white but hello you put make-up on over top of it. And if you are a boy well,,,,I guess that sucks for you then doesn't it lol.

WORKS GREAT!!!!!! INEXPENSIVE!!!!!!

Pros:

Didn't make me break out & Controlled oil

Cons:

Was still a little oily at the end of the day!

I use this product under my foundation and moisturizer and i have to say i am impressed. I am very very OILY!!!! at the end of the day my face looks like i smeared olive oil all over it. So i brought this product to get rid of that problem and it did. I have to say though i was still oily at the end of the day and i did have to plot once but when i don't wear this stuff i have to plot like 6 times a day. Worth the small amount of money paid just use a moisturizer over it or you can look pale but don't put too much on.
