Pros:

reduces acne significantly

I have been using mama lotion for a month and I definitely see a change. I get less breakouts and when I do they are really small. Most of the time I use it twice a day, but I moisturize often (w/spf 15) and I always exfoliate using a toner. I think exfoliating is important because mama lotion works like a peel and this helps to remove the dead skin cells. Sometimes my skin flakes, but not a lot. I see fading of old acne scars in some areas but not in others, I think that will take longer. I am definitely impressed. What I also noticed is that when I do get a pimple it dries it up really fast and it doesn't leave a really dark mark like it had in the past. Sometimes it stings, I think when you have pimples under or on the surface this happen

Pros:

Fantastic product - I have no peeling at all , but am used to using glycoloic acid and have done an Obaji peel

I think that my complexion is more glowy and smooth - almost 40 years old.

An OK mandelic acid lotion
I used the M2 Skin Refinish for several months. It made my skin very smooth, helped fade red marks on my cheeks, and kept my skin somewhat clear if I used it every night. However, I discontinued using it for a couple of reasons. One reason is that it is so sticky. This was a huge problem because I'm a side sleeper and I toss and turn a little at night. This made my face stick to my pillowcase and that was incredibly annoying. It makes your face a little shiny and due to the stickiness, I don't think you can cover this with makeup and wear it during the day. Maybe you can, I never actually tried it. Another reason why I stopped using it was the packaging. You cannot take the bottle apart if you are running low to see if you can get the last little bit of it out, and you can't really see how much you have left either. Considering it's about $35 for one ounce, I don't want to risk wasting my money. So to summarize, if it wasn't sticky and came in a better bottle I would use it again.

Pros:

visible difference in skin texture
reduces non-inflamed acne
reduces scarring

Cons:

sticky
my bf thinks it smells
pricey

I've mostly used this for generally congested skin and hyperpigmentation so I think this has worked really well in that respect. The only problem is the stickiness and perceived smell so I only use it every other day.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Caused me to break out, worse left scars on my face!

I am of East Indian descent and have medium tan skin. I never had acne problems before starting on Mama Lotion - I am in my thirties and wanted it more for its supposed anti-aging properties. I bought the samples. The first couple of times, it worked great. Then ... aargh - acne! And not just pimples, but scars that remain on my skin to this day. I am so upset. I had great clear skin and thoughtlessly spoiled it. Stay away from this product!

Pros:

It seems to be working? Not real sure yet, only used a week and I don't want to say for sure yet.

Cons:

Real dry skin and peely.

It has stopped breakouts, makes my face appear smoother, seems to be fading scars. . . I have only used for a week but haven't gotten a bunch of new cystics or anything and my face is SUPER sensitive. Fair olive skin, marks have NOT gotten darker or anything frightening like that. I can now look in the mirror without disgust so it seems to be working. I will give it more time and repost but as of now, why not try it? I got samples on Ebay and they seem like they will last awhile.

Pros:

smoother skin, smaller pores, fading scares (or that is still taking awhile of course)

Cons:

ultra dryness if you overuse it

This product does work but you have to really adjust it to your skin type. If you are feeling really dry or getting little bumps then CUT BACK. It will still remain effective because it's all about deep exfoliation. I overused it, couldn't move my face from the tightness and then cut back to once a week. Now I see the results that it talks about and am very impressed. You MUST wear sunscreen with this or you will hyperpigmentate and it won't be the products fault but yours. If you are breaking out in little bumps it means that your skin is getting aggravated so you need to cut back. Try this but be patient with it and don't go all gung ho on it.

Pros:

Overall, when drying got manageable (by day 5 or so, at 1x a week) skin looked smooth and fresh

Cons:

Caused me to have numerous huge cystic acne that I'm still trying to get rid of months later, little white bumps all over where I didn't have acne ever before (cheeks and forehead), incredibly dry flaking skin for days after treating

Inititally INCREDIBLY dry skin that flaked no matter how much or which moisturizer I used. Used 1x a week, by day 5 my skin wasn't flaky, but by day 2 after treating had huge eruptions on jaw (which I'd had before) and new cystic acne in places on my face I'd never had before. I thought it was purging and stuck with it for months, but the more often I used it the more I broke out, until my mild acne was worse than it's ever been in my life. I bought it as a promo from another web site, and was supposed to submit before and after pix and never sent after pix even to get my money reimbursed because I was so embarrassed about how bad my skin looked. I made the mistake of trying it with a few other new products, and since people RAVED about thsi stuff, I initialy blamed the new acne on the other products, and months later after stopping the others, realized this stuff was the cause.

Pros:

In my experience this product works very well for acne, aging skin, pigmentation, scars, dry rough feet and elbows etc.

Cons:

People with acne my break out for a few months at first as the pores, blackheads and pimples come to the surface. If the skin is dry or sensitive or dark use only twice a week at first for a few weeks. Use Lubriderm lotion before MAMA Lotion.

This is a great product. The greatest mistake is to go too fast, especially if people have not used a strong AHA or Retinoid before. To avoid irritation apply Lubriderm Lotion before applying MAMA Lotion until the skin gets used to the product. Be patient, it really works if you go SLOW and give it some time.

Pros:

Prevents breakouts, blackheads, and clogged pores. Evens skin tone, diminishes scarring, controls oil.

Cons:

A little pricey but worth it.

This product has been my magic bullet, and I'd tried the whole range of products before it -- from OTC to Accutane. I waited 2 months from when I started using it before writing a review to make sure it was true :) Over the last two months, I've had one minor pimple, hyperpigmentation fro past breakouts has improved significantly, and my skin generally looks brighter, healthier, and more even. Some people seem to have bad reactions to it, but I have sensitive skin (I can't tolerate Differin or Retin A, for example) but am able to use Mama lotion twice a day without problems. Love this stuff!
