Pros:

I love lemon juice for many reasons...its helps with acne, brightens skin (when used topically), gives you energy, and reduces water weight (diuretic).

Cons:

If you drink lemon juice.....may give you a sore throat if not dilluted enough
If you use lemon juice topically....if really burns, and i no long use this to treat acne topically

Lemon juice is cheap and has many benefits.

Pros:

Tastes great, deeefinitely helped acne

Cons:

Bad for teeth, but this can be avoided with a straw and drinking a bit of milk straight after

Definitely give it a try... and try putting lemon juice right on your face, too! I don't even use my expensive prescriptions anymore :)

Pros:

Clears up acne, reduces redness, put me in a better mood, more energy. Overall it just makes you feel great!

Cons:

Bad for teeth. It made my stomach upset, but that's probably because I drank too much of it.

It definitely works. If it doesn't work for your acne, I would recommend drinking it for the various other health benefits that lemon juice has. I know a lot of people are concerned about how this affects their teeth. If you're not doing it for flavor, I would suggest squirting the juice straight down your throat (if you have the bottled lemon juice), and washing it down with water straight afterward. I don't know if this would have the same effect as drinking the lemon juice with water or something, but I don't see why it wouldn't. At the very least it wouldn't hurt your teeth!

Pros:

Easy to use-can use bottled lemon juice or fresh. Smells great! Can apply topically and/or drink. I started drinking it, and within a couple of days acne cleared up.

Cons:

Can cause teeth to erode, may cause some stomach discomfort due to acidity. However, this can be overcome by drinking with a straw :)

TRY IT!!! Why not? It detoxifies your liver and may just be the answer for your acne. It is simple, cheap, and effective.

Pros:

I think it helped my acne a little but it might have just been the buttload of water I drank

Cons:

Really bad for your teeth. Wears away enamel.

Lemons are very acidic so I stopped this method.

Pros:

Effective, inexpensive

Cons:

Not great for your teeth

I started drinking lemon water twice a day about a month ago. After a week or so, my skin was the most consistently clear it had ever been. I wasn't sure if it was because of the lemon water or the AHA that I started using at the same time. About a week and a half ago, I got lazy and stopped drinking the lemon water. My skin broke out pretty badly. Once I started drinking the lemon water again, it started to clear up. I'll be honest, I don't particularly enjoy drinking this stuff, mainly because of how it makes me teeth feel - but it is totally worth it.

Pros:

Natural. Aids the liver. Cheap (parents have a lemon tree). Great not only for Acne but your entire body!

Cons:

squeezing the lemons (sometimes a little will spray in your eye)
Other than that none. NATURAL!

Well I have only been drinking lemon juice in the morning and right before bed for about 3 days and I could already see a great difference! I am not kidding!!! Acne is a hormonal problem that usually is started in the teens my theory because the body is going through so many changes that poor acidic food choices take a burden on the liver which in return makes it have to correct the body to being more alkaline naturally. With this process of the body having to do so, it doesn't give the liver enough 'power' to work properly so it calls the skin for back-up. Here is where the lemon works! My theory is natural is the best way in insuring that one grows out of acne. Acne companies are making way too much money selling crap when natural remedies work (in my case I use honey every night to treat my problem area). I plan on drinking lemon water until I know that my body is balanced at a cellular level to acne freedom. Can not recommend LEMON water enough!

Pros:

helped a ton with my acne. I tried everything, proactive, i went to get facials and bought everything they thought would help. I then went online and found the thing about lemon and water and it has worked miracles for my skin.

Cons:

Tastes really bad and to help with that i add honey. People say lemon is bad for your teeth and to balance that out i add honey (honey is good for your teeth) .

Try it! what have you got to lose! :)

Pros:

Tastes nice, Vitamin C, fresh fruit, good for the body

Cons:

Erodes tooth enamel, so my dentist told me to stop drinking lemon water. Some say to drink it with a straw to avoid touching the teeth. Whatever you do, do not brush your teeth after drinking lemon water for at least 1 hour-it will wear enamel away

Lemon and lime juice are healthy, lovely, fresh, cleansing, full of vitamins -- all wonderful. The problem is that fruit acids and other food acids (like vinegar and wine) wear away the enamel of the teeth. My tooth enamel has worn away a lot due to all the acidic foods I used to love, and there is no way to fix this (the re-enamelizing toothpastes don't really put enamel back on your teeth). The dentists say not to brush your teeth after eating anything acidic for at least one hour, to give the teeth time to stabilize before applying the brush to them. My dentist says she can see the brush strokes on the surface of the teeth - due to the acid from the OJ that I drank every morning and then brushed my teeth straight afterwards (before going to work) - it had softened my teeth that much. Please do not trust the review below where the guy says to brush your teeth right after drinking lemon water - you can never get that enamel back. Besides the teeth issue, lemons are great!
