Pros:

Faded old acne scarring, cheap, smells good.

Cons:

slight stinging if you have acne in that area.

I read that lemon juice could fade acne scars and I was desperate to try anything since I had these little annoying brown and red spots on my cheeks. I was using differin and it got rid of my acne but left small scars. I went to the grocery store, bought some lemons and gave it a try. I washed my face and applied the lemon juice (fresh) that was squeezed into a small bowl, and applied it with a Q-tip. This was the first time I tried this method and after 10 minutes I washed it off. After my face got less red (from washing it) I looked in the mirror and I was so happy. I could see that it was working already. My scars weren't completely gone though. Just not as noticeable. I can't wait to use it again tomorrow!

Pros:

none so far

Cons:

stings

I have been putting lemon juice on my face for 5 days now. At first it helped even out my skin tone but then I noticed a wrinkle on my forehead is actually deeper now than it was 5 days ago, I broke out with large cystic acne on my cheek (which I never had before) and it seems like my skin has darkened. Does anybody know why these things happened to me?

Pros:

SOFTENING, HAS A NICE TINGLE, SMELLS GOOD, TASTES OKAY IF IT SHOULD GET IN YOUR MOUTH

Cons:

KIND OF STICKY, WILL IRRITATE THE EYES SEVERLY, LEMON PULP WILL GET IN THE HAIR IF YOURE NOT CAREFUL

I HAVE BEEN NOTICING A LITTLE ACNE DUE TO MY BIRTH CONTROL AND I HAVE HAD DARK SPOTS ON MY FACE FOR SOMETIME NOW. I HAVE BEEN USING THE JUICE FROM THE LEMON FOR ABOUT THREE DAYS NOW AND I THINK AM SEEING SOME CHANGES. MY SKIN IS APPEARING TO BECOME MORE EVEN TONED AND LIGHTER. THE LEMONS I JUST PICK OFF MY TREE. ANY REGIMEN IS WORK FOR ME BUT THEY SAY NO PAIN, NO GAIN SO I WILL CONTINUE TO USE IT. IF I DONT SEE DRASTIC CHANGES I AM GOING TO TRY THE OBAGI SYSTEM. I HAD A CONSULTATION AND ITS EXPENSIVE BUT THE BEFORE AND AFTER PIX SHE SHOWED ME WERE AMAZING. BUT I RECOMMEND LEMON JUICE FOR THOSE VERY MILD CASES. GOOD LUCK

Horrible stinging
Does't work very well
Lots of redness

I have very persistent, stubborn acne. It ranges from very mild, to very aggravated. This is not a solution. But by all means, try it. I was like you, fellow reader, spending hours looking through reviews and forums. Staring at myself in the mirror, looking for results. It depressed me, thinking about how much money I had spent on acne products. So I gave this a whirl. It's painful. But, whatever, if it works, who cares? It doesn't. I'm sorry to inform that this isn't it. This is an acid so it can kill bacteria, but only temporarily and this can burn the outer membranes of your skin. If your looking for a real solution, try In Love with Bodycare. Look for it online. I've started using it due to a post I saw on this website. They sent me samples after I asked, and I swear to you, I have tried EVERYTHING. Clearsil, Neutrogena, Mario Badescu, Differin, Clarasonic, Facials, Supplements, Diet Changes, Glycolic Acid, BP, Salycilic Acid, Clean and Clear. I was desperate. So close to going on Accutane once and for all. I know you can benefit from this. My skin is flawless now. Its all natural. TRY IT. PLEASE.

Pros:

- PROBABLY does lighten (I would think it could)
- Cheap

Cons:

- Burns so badly
- Your face turns extremely sensitive to EVERYTHING.
- Your face hurts for a few days

I remember using this a long time ago and hating how painful it was. My face has finally been clearing from neutrogena's cream cleanser, neutrogena's all in one acne control daily scrub, and tea tree oil :D This is all I use, and for moisture I steam my face because moisturizers break me out. My face is almost 100% clear. The only thing I wanted was my scars gone tea tree oil does this great believe it or not; especially when they're red. It turns them brown and then I can finally get rid of it by lightening it up with hydroquinine to match my skin tone. Weird process huh, but it works amazingly (scars are fading ridiculously fast). So y did I try lemons in the 1st place again? I was going to drink it to clean out my body, it was here so why not try it again right? Thankfully I tested it on a small portion of my skin because omg it burns like crazy. PLEASE TEST IT 1ST IF YOU TRY IT! I then continued with my normal face routine; which is very moisturizing and gentle even without moisturizers. OMG it burned that specific area soo bad. When I used the juice I only dabbed my finger on the lemon and patted it on my face. It still burnt no matter what and today is the day after doing it, and its still ridiculously sensitive to everything, and I don't have sensitive skin at all. Just be careful when using this if u must. Use it gently and watered down. Good luck every1, and check out the products I mentioned; they wont fail u.
