Yes for scars!
I suffer from cystic acne and white head acne and yes now and again I am a guilty squeeze popper. Thus leaving big fat brown/red marks. My skin seems more sensitive internally than externally so I do not dilute the lemon juice anymore, but for anyone with externally sensitive skin the ratio should be 1:1 to water or I've seen some others using honey or w/e. Anyway I usually dab the depressed area with a cotton bud of the lemon juice when I come home from class and leave it on until evening wash (at night I use Hiruscar which I also find effective) Anyway I must say, with just a few days of using this treatment my scars are NOTICEABLY better than would have been without using it in the same amount of time. I really recommend!!

good for red marks, but BE CAREFUL

Pros:

Bleaches red marks
Inexpensive

Cons:

Can damage skin if not careful
Can't go anywhere near eyes
Drying

This is the best method to fade red marks, but be careful or you could possibly make acne worse! Make sure you don't have ANY open wounds, scabs, or dry patches. Only use it if the lesion has healed and there is no residual pain. Don't leave it on for more than a few hours at a time, and don't use it every day. If it starts to sting TOO much, take it off and try again another day. If you're careful, this can really help with red marks. I've left it on for 2-3 hours, 4x/week, and saw results in 2 weeks.

Helps with Scars

Pros:

Cheap
Natural Cure
Smells great

Cons:

Takes a long time for results

I use fresh lemon only on my scars, no where else. I rub it in with a cotton pad and leave on for about 15 minutes tops. It has taken me a few weeks to see improvements, but it does help and is cheap. This like every other treatment needs to be used diligently. That means every day!

Pros:

Cheap, lightened scars, full-of-hope

Cons:

Burns (obviously), caused some serious breakouts

So, I was completely hopeful when trying this highly rated "product." I used it for a little over a month. After reading many of the reviews, I expected it to sting, so when it did just that, I wasn't surprised. It stung all over, but especially along my jawline (I had never broken out there before). There are some definite pros to using lemon juice, however I was still breaking out, in fact, I was breaking out like crazy along my jawline. I have since stopped using lemon juice and have switched to Dan's products. My face is pretty clear, but the jawline aftereffects are still there (they are weird ones too... they line up and form patterns, basically little jerks). My best guess is that my jawline breakout is due to the lemon juice... too strong of a product for such a sensitive area. Who knows though.

Pros:

Helped reduce acne scars
Cleared up pimples
Tightens pores

Cons:

Stings

It's obviously been said a lot on here, but this worked pretty well for me. I had never heard of this, and it is such a simple and easy solution. I apply fresh lemon juice to my face using a cotton ball and leave it on for 10-20 minutes before washing it off and moisturizing. My skin looks way better, and I'm so glad I looked on here before buying an expensive treatment. I haven't noticed it lightening my skin tone, but I'm already pale, so I can't go that much lighter. Give it a shot, you've got nothing to lose!
